12 Chapter 12: Time skip and meetings - Part 3

"How about I teach you a way of fighting that helps to subdue your opponent rather than hurt them?"

"What do you mean?"

"My Taijutsu style allows you to either subdue your opponent, stopping their movement, or redirect their own energy against them" Hinata is smarter than most people so she should be able to pick up the style relatively quickly.

"Could you please show me?"

"Sure, come on and attack me"

Hinata's eyes changed, veins appeared at the sides of her eyes and I could feel her observing me from all directions.

She lunged at me with two fingers aiming for my shoulder, I moved towards her, grabbing her arm and flipping her over my body pinning her to ground. I placed my hand against her throat.

"If I had a blade you'd be dead right now"

I jumped away allowing her to get up.

"Again" I shouted

She came at me again, aiming for my chakra points again. I moved her hand and bend her elbow, redirecting it to hit her own shoulder. Her finger landed on her left shoulder, blocking one of her chakra points.

"Do you see? I can either stop your movements or send your attack back on yourself"

"Yes, I think I understand" Hinata was holding her shoulder tightly as she replied.

"If you want I will show you the basics and maybe you can find a way to merge them with your clan's style to create something all your own" I know Hinata was able to create a few techniques of her own in the anime so I was looking forward to seeing what she could create with this.

"Thank you" She bowed again.

"I must warn you though, there are some enemies who will fight to kill and if you don't fight to kill your chances of survival will go down"

"I understand, but I still want to try" Hinata usually looks away from people but when she spoke she looked directly in my eyes.

"Ok then let me show you the basics"

After a few hours Hinata had started to grasp the basics and she had written a few things down in a scroll to try later.

"I live just outside the village if you ever want any pointers ok"

"Yes thank you again"

After checking on Naruto and meeting Hinata there was one other person in the village who I needed to meet, I found him training by the side of a lake.

As I arrived a ball of fire was being blown out the young Uchiha's mouth, it was about half the power of the first fire ball I had let out but that wasn't surprising, Sasuke was still quite young.

"Not bad" I called out looking at his fire ball. He turned towards me, putting his hands in his pockets, striking his 'cool guy' pose. I had the urge to whack him on the head for some reason.

"Who are you?"

"That's a good question" I smiled at him. "How would you like me to answer?"

"Well how about telling me your name weirdo"

"Oh ouch that hurts little Uchiha, well to answer your second question my name is Light. Your first question would be much harder to answer."

"hmph"

"And you what is your name?"

"Sasuke"

"What are you doing here Sasuke?"

"What does it look like, I'm training"

"What for?"

"To avenge my clan"

"And you plan to do that on your own?"

"I don't need anyone else"

"Then you are as idiotic as the rest your prideful clan was" The Uchiha's pride was one of the major reasons for its downfall, there is nothing wrong with pride but when you let it harm your loved ones and others around you it's just not worth it.

"What do you know about it huh?" Sasuke said angrily.

"You think you are special? you and you alone know the pain of losing your loved ones?" I remembered my parents as I spoke, not just the ones from this world but all the people I had left from my previous life.

"I am an Uchiha, I am the only one who can kill that man" I stared at him, the darkness in his eyes were more obvious when he talked about Itachi. I sighed at him.

"I could give you a speech right now about how revenge wouldn't give you want you want, that it won't bring you peace, or happiness or fill that hole you feel inside of you because it won't. But, I'm not going to do that, instead I'm going to show you that having comrades can help you so much more than you think"

Sasuke stared at me, I couldn't tell if he had taken what I said to heart or not.

"Turn back around and perform the fire ball jutsu again"

"What? Why?" he looked confused

"Just do it" I grabbed his shoulders as turned him around.

"Fine. Fire style: Fire Ball jutsu" As he called out his jutsu I pushed my hand on his back, pouring my chakra in to his. This time his jutsu was five times bigger and more powerful than his original one.

"What the? how did?" Sasuke was shocked at how strong his jutsu had become after being hit on the back.

"See, you may think that breaking your ties with people will make you strong and while they can make you venerable they can also make you so much more powerful"

Sasuke kept staring at the steam rising from the water, off in his own thoughts.

"Trust me kid, there is no need to rush yourself. Build yourself up steadily, don't rush and with your talent, you will one day stand among the top ninja of this world" I gave him a serious look. After all I knew that he and Naruto would one day become the two most powerful ninja in the world, well they would have been, I might end up taking the number one spot now.

"I'll think about it"

"hmph, thanks kid, oh by the way do me a favour would you, there is a kid called Naruto in your class, look after him would you?"

"That idiot, why?"

"Hahahaha, yeah he is pretty stupid isn't he, however, that idiot also has the potential to stand as one of the top ninja in the world one day"

"No way, that loser can't even do a simple transformation jutsu" Sasuke looked sure of himself as he spoke.

"Yeah I know, but that's not because he isn't talented, he simply has so much chakra he can't control it. If he could control it perfectly and trained up a little he would be almost unstoppable, you will see when you become a genin, he will progress and start to catch up to you inch by inch."

"I don't believe you"

"You don't have to, you will see it for yourself in a few years, in the meantime, what can it hurt to help him out? he is very much like you, you know"

"Oh yeah, how's that?"

"You are both alone and I'm sure you feel something else when you look at him, a connection, something that goes down to your soul. But who knows maybe I'm just a random crazy guy, then again maybe I'm not" I let out a loud laugh and walked away.

I headed home, leaving Sasuke to make his own mind up, I couldn't exactly force him to accept my views and if I told him the truth about Itachi, he wouldn't believe me.
