"You don't like hamburgers?" Hours had passed, and now both Yu and Naruto sat across from each other in a fast-food restaurant. They had spent the entire day "patrolling" the streets, although, in reality, they were the center of attention. Even the screens in the nearby buildings displayed gossip programs discussing how the "heroic" Mt. Lady was attempting to bring someone as wayward and dangerous as Uzumaki Naruto to the side of the "good guys."
"..." The result was that Naruto felt anger, but he had to contain himself and continue with this game, hoping that the week would pass quickly. "It's yours." He pushed his plate toward the heroine, who just shrugged and began to eat. He was fortunate that his quirk burned the calories he consumed almost instantly, making it easy for him to maintain his figure.
"You've been awfully quiet. What's on your mind? Any girls?" Yu asked the last part suggestively, playfully smiling. Naruto remained impassive. "Ugh, you're so cold. Even though you're very handsome, not smiling takes away points," she said with a playful smile, continuing to eat.
"Why this sudden change? The last time I saw you, you were nearly peeing in that nice suit," Naruto commented dryly, watching the sun set on the horizon, giving way to a night illuminated by the city lights. It was annoying.
"How funny. Well, the truth is, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared of you. Just thinking about what happened that day..." Yu frowned, lost her appetite, and stopped eating. "But then I realized that if you hadn't intervened... I would have the deaths of several innocent people on my conscience. That's why I sent you a request. I'll teach you how to be a hero." Her determination in speaking these words only raised an eyebrow of doubt from Naruto.
"You'll teach me?" Naruto couldn't help but smile mockingly at the offer, but Yu ignored his response and nodded her head enthusiastically.
"Yeah!" She excitedly hit the table. She had always wanted a henchman or, at best, a partner who saw her as his teacher. "First step: you must have a good image... Where's your suit?" She asked curiously, noticing that Naruto only had a bag with basic items. Apparently, he didn't have a "hero" suit.
"I don't have one, and I'm not interested in wearing something like that," Naruto firmly replied as he sipped his water, in contrast to Yu, who was sipping an energy drink.
"Okay," she nodded in surprise and began to think about how to solve this. "Second step: You need a name that grabs attention, something imposing that sets you apart. Miyasashi scares many. We need to change that." Yu said this as she thoughtfully rubbed her chin, considering various names that might suit the teenager.
"I have a name... Naruto." An uncomfortable atmosphere hung between the two blondes as they locked eyes. The heroine was growing impatient, feeling like they were just wasting time.
"Listen, I understand it's a challenge to adapt to the role of a 'Pro-hero,' but you have to do it. Success in this field means thousands of fans, merchandise with your name on it. To achieve that, you need to mature," Yu stated, crossing her arms as she regarded the stubborn teenager. "What's so funny?" she asked, her frustration evident as she watched Naruto give a dry laugh while gazing at the sky.
It was a shame that not a single star could be seen in this brightly lit city that seemed as bustling as midday. Another thing that bothered him about big cities. The blonde's gaze returned to the costumed woman. "Costumes? Names? Fans? Merchandise?" Naruto inquired, his laughter gone, focusing on the "heroine," who felt increasingly uneasy in her seat.
"…" Yu swallowed hard, knowing she was treading on thin ice. Her superiors had warned her about Naruto and her responsibility for his actions. They had instructed her to call All Might in case of an emergency, as he was one of the few who could restrain the shinobi. "…" She lowered her right hand beneath the table, intending to reach for her phone in her pocket.
"Are you a heroine or a celebrity?" Naruto's question made Yu halt, her gaze meeting the shinobi's. "Do you think that's all that matters? Material possessions or merely managing throngs of perverts who only see a pair of breasts and buttocks and cheer for you? I don't consider you a heroine, just a woman craving the spotlight," Naruto's sharp words continued to pierce through the tension.
"Retract!" Yu seethed, jumping to her feet and slamming her hands on the table to confront Naruto, grabbing his jacket and attempting to bring him face to face with her. She had forgotten who she was dealing with, her "heroine" status temporarily blinding her. However, she watched in surprise as Naruto calmly pushed her hands away and disentangled himself.
"Exactly, I'm nobody, yet I can be a better hero than you. Recognition? Money? Fans? None of that matters." Naruto sighed, causing them to draw attention from passersby. He then turned his gaze back to Takeyama. "A hero is willing to do anything. Would you shield a stranger with your body, even if you knew it might cost your life? Would you?" His questions caught the blonde off guard, and she hesitated for a moment.
"Yes, I would," she eventually answered, recovering her composure.
"Your mouth says yes, but your eyes show doubt." With this simple statement, the gazes of both blondes locked, yet it was Takeyama who looked away, crossed her arms, and turned her back to him.
"If you doubt me, you're free to leave-"
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
The discussion between Naruto and Yu was suddenly interrupted by a high-pitched scream nearby. Both turned to see a white-haired homeless man fleeing with a bag and a bundle, with a desperate mother in pursuit. "My baby! He has my baby!" the frantic mother cried out, realizing her son had been kidnapped and her purse stolen.
