Chapter-42

"Uzumaki!" Flying over the track, Bakugo charged toward the blonde with mustaches. However, he had to halt abruptly upon encountering a slippery liquid on the ground, which had been unleashed by the pink girl, covering the track. Struggling to maintain his balance, Naruto skidded and found himself heading directly for the explosive teenager, who was mere meters away. "Shineee!" Extending his right arm, Bakugo triggered a powerful explosion aimed directly at the Uzumaki. Amidst the ensuing cloud of smoke, Katsuki was sent flying backward when a foot emerged from the haze and struck his stomach with force. Recoiling in pain, Bakugo was caught by his teammates, groaning from the impact to his stomach.

"Is that all?" Naruto emerged from the smoke, having lost the upper part of his suit, which exposed his arms and part of his torso. Ibara appeared behind him, having incurred minimal damage as Naruto had acted as a shield, absorbing much of the explosion. "It takes more than that to hurt me," he remarked, his words ringing true, considering he only bore a few scratches, with his hair slightly singed from the explosion that could have incapacitated or even killed an ordinary person.

"You're right! Smash!" Naruto had to dig his feet into the ground and, with Ibara in tow, hurled her into the air. However, he was met with a shockwave or air current that sent him back a few meters. "No hard feelings, Naruto!" Izuku shouted, sacrificing one of his fingers to separate the shinobi from the B-Class teenager. He activated the propeller on his back, propelling himself and his team upward as they aimed for Ibara, who hung helplessly in the air.

"Huh?" As she began descending back to the ground, Ibara realized they were closing in on her. Employing her hair, she fashioned a protective sphere around herself. Nevertheless, Dark Shadow managed to break through her defenses and reach her. The teenager couldn't prevent the strange shadow bird's beak from snatching one of her bandanas.

"One more!" Although the green-haired girl's hair tried to thwart Midoriya's team, this time the rider extended his arm in an attempt to seize the points. Yet, his efforts were in vain as several vine-shaped locks enveloped the entire group, snatching the equipment they carried.

"My babies!" Mei exclaimed in panic, watching as Ibara's green hair infiltrated the thrusters and gripped the devices, causing them to malfunction. Tokoyami, still calling upon his shadow, observed that it was ensnared by the vines continually emerging from Ibara.

The five students suspended in the air slowly descended. Although Ochako used her power on her companions, they still had to contend with the weight of the Uzumaki's partner, who refused to relinquish her points.

"My hair..." The young Christian began to feel exhausted from exerting her quirk so intensely. Worried, she noticed the ties restraining the rival team were breaking. She could no longer continue extracting more hair; she needed a few minutes to rest. "I'm so sorry!" Stepping on the bird boy's head, she propelled herself backward to distance herself from them and began her descent. She was only about twenty meters from the ground, and it was bound to hurt, but at least they executed it well. Resigned to the fall, she closed her eyes.

"I've got you!" The B-Class student was caught in mid-air by Naruto, who carried her in his arms like a bride. They skidded to a stop on the ground, and the shinobi let out a sigh of relief. Touching the ground would have resulted in disqualification. Nearby, the Midoriya team landed safely, despite facing equipment failures from Hatsume.

"We did it!" Uraraka exclaimed happily, relieved to have recovered the ten million points. However, her smile faltered upon seeing a frustrated Tokoyami revealing he had a band worth only 200 points. "Oh no..." As she glanced at the stadium screen, she realized they were now in fourth place. Was that enough? She didn't know. "There are only about 40 seconds left. What do we do?" Her question prompted everyone to exchange looks, then turn to Izuku, who hesitated in deciding their next move.

"We still have time!" Without wasting a moment, the Midoriya team rushed towards Naruto, who was now being approached by other teams.

"Kaminari! Yaoyorozu!" Returning to the Todoroki team, we find the rider of their group glaring furiously at the Uzumaki, who stood just steps away. Her two companions, positioned behind her, sprang into action upon hearing her command. Momo's abdomen produced a rubber insulating blanket, which she used to shield her team. Simultaneously, Kaminari began to radiate with electricity.

"Do you trust me?" Naruto asked unexpectedly as he held the girl in his arms. Looking at her, he saw her exhaustion, and she nodded in response.

"1.2 million volts!" Kaminari's cry grabbed everyone's attention as he became enveloped in yellow lightning, which surged toward all nearby teams, electrocuting them. "Hey?" In disbelief, Denki watched the Uzumaki approach, seemingly unaffected by the electricity. "More power!" This time, he concentrated all his energy into a concentrated bolt of golden lightning that struck Naruto.

For a moment, Naruto stood still, feeling the millions of volts course through his body. But as soon as the lightning hit him, it vanished. "I'm used to pain, you idiots! Now it's my turn!" After clapping his hands together, the blonde emitted blue rays that enveloped him, launching them against the opposing team, who could only shield themselves with the rubber blanket.

"It's too much!" Momo watched in dismay as the blanket she created started to melt from the intense heat of Naruto's rays, forcing them to let go to avoid being burned. Simultaneously, the electricity from Naruto ceased.

"How can he be so strong?" Shiori wondered in disbelief as she watched the mustached blonde approach. She unconsciously raised her right arm, enveloping it in ice, while her left arm ignited with flames. "What?" She whispered in astonishment as she saw the flames surround her left arm. She looked up again to find Naruto stopping just inches from her and making a big leap.

Flying through the skies, Naruto extended his arms to catch his partner and began to fall again, dropping several meters. He landed with a thud on his back, ensuring the girl fell on top of him. Grunting, the teenager stood up, placing the girl on his back. "I'm not done yet, Uzumaki!" The blonde faced Bakugo, who was charging toward him at full speed, with his partner still on his back. Naruto stood ready to confront Katsuki, who was determined to do whatever it took to win.
