A phantom flashed through the dense forest, the only trace left behind, signifying it's existence, were the small movements of leaves.

The figure stood still on one last tree and didn't flicker away immediately, infront of him was a well known deserted area, scorpion and snakes were abound here.

" Can't sense anyone either, it's all clear. "

Mizuki jumped down form the tree and started walking towards the area.

There was something unnatural about this new visitor, no poisonous critter wanted to attack him.

Infact, the scorpion cluster decided to give way, as if it wasn't a creature that was coming in.

But a force of nature.

Within the middle of the deserted region now stood Mizuki, his eyes glowing blue, he was in proper sage mode.

Loosening his muscles and doing a quick warm up to get his mind in the game, Mizuki took out the gift from Anko.

' The snake summon scroll. '

Unfurl, as the scroll rolled back, names written with blood became visible, sorted by order.

" The latest one is Anko, before her was.. Orochimaru.."

Mizuki didn't directly rub his blood on the scroll like some hothead, why was the blood needed, can he use hair? What about pure chakra? What were the conditions he or the summoned beast has to abide by? Mizuki was about to research everything there was to the scroll in detail.

Mizuki then, began to go through everything the scroll has to offer, from names to materials to seals. Anything catching his eyes was scanned and understood.

" Fortunately I have plenty of sealing experience now, Minato needed to use seals for his FTG, his notes contained many such seals leading from basic all the way to creating your very own signature seal. "

Mizuki had already understood what sealing was all about, and with his sharp mind, it won't take him long to figure out seals he has never seen before either.

Mizuki took an hour to re read the entire scroll multiple times, he understood something about the nature of the summoned scroll.

" There isn't any trap, this is purely one sided... Well not exactly, they help us summoners and we humans don't kill them all because they happen to exist, hah, classic humans. "

Mizuki understood, sometime much before the current ninja world, it was a war torn world, human's didn't even care about actual human settlements and destroyed them all due to kekkei genkai or even just for the sake of having a fertile land.

' So what were a bunch of talking toads, snakes and slugs. In fact they aroused even more hatred from humans, they were after all different species fighting for survival, sentient and very much capable of causing destruction and death.. likely did cause as well. '

When any species want to survive, a clash happens, nature takes it's course and the fittest survive.

And humans have time and time again prove how very dangerous we are in such a natural selection, the current holy places lost that war.

Of course the current humans have forgotten, but the holy place still maintain the decorum, not because of honesty, but because the moment they step out of line, a new generation of humans will rise to eliminate them.

Narrowing his eyes Mizuki spit out the truth the ' holy places ' have buried eons ago.

The first toad sage was trying to eat the first slug sage, and the first snake sage was trying the eat that very toad.

And surprise surprise! The first sages came to be! Then the rest his history.

It's clear what level I am standing on, what the sages ' foresee ' is all a bunch of hogwash, their existence depends on us wanting their assistance, it was so by their own choice, humans didn't force them to do any of this, but now that humans have forgotten they want to climb on our heads and declare themselves holy! It's laughable. "

Mizuki knew these holy places have started to go out of line decades ago, the toad sage's prophet talent was just him knowing about Ashura reincarnation and him seeing Hashirama did actually achieve peace for a while, it was just an attempt to make himself mysterious and get the favour of new generation Ashura via Jiraya.

The manda and snake sage's eating humans regularly, demanding sacrifices of normal humans is extremely out of the line, they have begun to actually think of themselves as dragons.

Only the slug sage tries to heal everyone to get in their good graces, only her Mizuki didn't despise.

Knowing how they went from waiting to survive to now wanting to become top dog,. Mizuki decided to do something different than usual.

He was about to do the unthinkable, he wasn't going to summon a snake using the scroll, but he was about to summon himself to the snakes!

" Reverse summoning jutsu! "

Ryuchi cave, white snake sage.

" Hmm? "

".. human? Aren't you a courageous- "

Snake sage stopped speaking when Mizuki began loosening his muscles, and then started walking towards her.

" What is the meaning of this!? "

Smiling, his eyes shining eerie blue, Mizuki whispered.

" I am here to renew the agreement.. some breaches seem to have taken place.. "

The entirety of Ryuchi cave was closed for a day, no one knew what happened, snakes refused to talk about it.
