Farewell

" You leaving now? "

Anko asked as she was sitting on Mizuki's bed, one leg above the other.

Mizuki nodded absent-minded as he was checking his ninja pouch and preparing his gear.

" Yeah I'll be leaving now. "

Anko nodded with her head down, then looked up with determination and whispered.

" Hey Mizuki.. do you have someone you like..? "

Mizuki looked towards her with slight surprise as he asked.

" Hmm? where did that come from? "

Anko shook her legs as she spoke in a matter of the fact way.

" Well I wanna know, I never asked you for your mind until now.. "

Mizuki gave her you finally remembered look, which Anko promptly decided to ignore, then she continued.

" And now that you are going outside, you can meet many people.. and well, something might happen that I would rather avoid.. so..? "

Mizuki looked at her funnily as he began checking his kunai for defects.

" If you must know there is someone I like.. "

Anko gripped the bedsheet tightly as she spoke.

" ... Who? "

Mizuki finished his checking as he looked at her and pointed up.

Anko looked up, and saw the moon glowing through the window.

" I like the moon goddess.. rabbit goddess.. mother of everything.. however you wanna call her. "

" Hahahaha! "

Anko burst out laughing, as she fell backwards.

Mizuki didn't care he just went back to his checking of equipment.

" Oh sorry sorry.. I thoght you were being serious when you said you liked someone. I was scared for a while you know! "

Mizuki simply took a look at her as he said with slightly more force.

" I do like someone. It is the moon goddess.. I just told you. "

Anko rolled her eyes, she didn't know Mizuki had this side to him.

" Okay okay l got it! She is real and you like her, not at a fictional figure! Not at all! "

Crossing her hands before her Anko said in a joking way.

Mizuki smiled as he attached the ninja pouch to his belt.

" I wonder.. Now that you have asked, I'll say it, If I ever see her, unless I am in love with someone else- "

Mizuki looked at Anko lightly for a second, which she caught and gave a big smile.

" - I will more than likely go for her.. She must be alone being stuck there with nobody to lookout for her.. "

Hearing Mizuki's slightly emotional voice, as if he could feel a personal connection to such a fate, Anko was slightly confused, but decided to ignore it for now.

She had much more important things to think about, like Mizuki's rabbit goddess admiration.

" Okay okay, I promise, If I happen to be related to the one you come to love in the meantime, I'll convince them to let you go for your totally real moon goddess! "

Mizuki laughed out loud, Anko did too, but both were laughing for different reasons.

Looking at her like she made the worst mistake ever, Mizuki said lightly.

" I'll remember that promise.. "

Anko gave him a thumbs up, why won't she? Moon goddess wasn't real! And even if she was can Anko stop a goddess? Haha, so it's best to let Mizuki's rabbit fantasies be.

In fact she will capitalise on them!

Looking at Anko beginning the count her money Mizuki asked a slightly curiously.

" I am checking if I have enough on me to buy bunny ears.. you know, on the off chance rabbit goddess doesn't come out of the books.. "

Mizuki rolled his eyes, he was about to go out, not the time to discuss about future life.

" Okay Anko, I'll be off now, take care. "

Anko smiled as she ran and gave Mizuki a big hug!

" ... Yes, take care. And take this. "

She handed him a scroll which Mizuki read.

' Snake summon scroll. '

Anko put her fingers on his lips as she stopped him from speaking.

" Take it, that's my most prized possession, it'll help you in Kiri.. be sure to survive.. "

Giving him a last tight hug, she let him go and watched him leave as he flashed her a smile one last time.

* Swish *

As Mizuki vanished, Anko hair flew backwards from the wind, but she didn't stop looking even as her eyes got wind in them.

Slowly whispered.

' Come back alive.. '

Hokage office.

" Old man why another d level- "

* Knock knock *

Hokage looked up from Naruto giving him a earful about d ranks towards the door. Then lightly said.

" Come in "

Mizuki walked in, all of team seven was surprised, including their Jonin sensei, Kakashi.

" Mizuki sensei! "

Giving Naruto a smile, Mizuki gave Sasuke and Kakashi a nod respectively.

After greeting team seven, he walked towards the Hokage and bowed.

" I am ready to leave Hokage sama. "

Mizuki said clearly, Hokage didn't ask him or team seven to step outside, even knowing what his mission was, it was plenty obvious that he wanted team seven to hear this.

" Wow a mission Mizuki sensei! What are you doing?! "

Sakura fumed at Naruto.

" You can't just ask someone their mission Naruto! Mizuki sensei will get in trouble! "

Sasuke simply grunted as a response.

Mizuki just smiled as he gave Naruto a look.

" Sasuke is right Naruto, I can't say it, but I'll tell you this, It's very very cool! "

Naruto had stars in his eyes and Sasuke had a small smirk, Kakashi meanwhile was rolling his eyes at Mizuki messing around, but has an eye smile nonetheless.

" Haha Okay Naruto I'll tell you a little about it, if you promise to keep it to yourself. "

Mizuki laughed as he spoke, he had seen the Hokage give him a signal, that was go ahead, Hokage needed Naruto to know about this mission.

' I wonder.. is he trying to get Naruto the follow me via enticing him..? Is it the bridge builder mission..? '

Mizuki had roughly figured out what the Hokage was up to.

It was quite obvious a regular bridge builder can't fool Konoha, especially when his destination is a famous lawless area.

Tazuna's mission was likely selected first hand for team seven, just the new addition of Zabuza and Haku wasn't in their plans..

Looking at Naruto complaining about d rank Mizuki understood.

' So in the original Hoakge must have kept Tazuna's mission on hold for a while, and was giving Naruto too many boring missions to entice him to go for this one and complete it for sure instead of leaving it inbetween. '

Looking back the Hokage, Mizuki understood now he decided to entice Naruto with my ' Cool ' mission instead, he just wants Naruto to do a higer level mission by his own choice.

Hokage was teaching Naruto to make choices and follow through them even if it's hard.. hah..

Giving a slight laugh, he rubbed both Sasuke and Naruto's head, as he began telling about his mission in as little detail as possible but made it as flamboyant as possible.

" That is just so damn cool mizuki sensei! I want to go! Take me with you! "

All of team seven were excited in their own ways.

Mizuki looked at the Hoakge's sign, as he then decided to take his leave.

" Okay Naruto, Sasuke, I'll lead team seven sometime later. For now I gotta leave. "

" Oh come on! "

Naruto was pouting, but Mizuki simply waved his hand at them all as he said his goodbyes.

" Bye Naruto, Bye Sasuke. Take care Kakashi.. and Sakura - "

Looking back with a happy smile Mizuki whispered.

" - farewell. "

Then he walked out amongst the depressed trio and slightly confused Sakura, who quickly put that out of her mind in favour of Sasuke kun.

" He's gone, now onto your mission, it's a kennel cleaning one- "

" No way!!!! "

Yelled all of team seven together, as Mizuki heard their combined yell one last time before moving out of the building.
