Chapter 19: Religion Maybe?

Ritsu was currently counting the money that Kaz had managed to steal from the four Cherry Blossom stores in the Land of Fire.

'So much,' Ritsu counted a total of twenty-three million Ryo.

Compared to the amount of towns we raided in the Land of River which amounted to fifteen million Ryo three stores from the Land of Fire.

'It must be because they are from the Land of Fire. Note to future-self more villages should come under Kirigakure's control.'

"Young master, I have returned." a voice resounded in the surrounding before a figure made its figure known.

Kaz walked towards Ritsu as he handed Ritsu a storage scroll containing the money he had just raided from the town Shami, from the last store of Cherry Blossom.

Ritsu, grabbed the scroll, 'Luckily information isn't spread as quickly in later eras. Maybe we wouldn't have gotten as much money'

Ritsu eyed the money that came out of the scroll he estimated the amount, 'should be close to seven million Ryo.'

Ritsu quickly put away the Ryo as he looked at Kaz, 'So loyal and since he received a genetic enhancement by me twice that proves he has deep loyalty to me. I gotta give him a reward in the future.'

"Have we found anything on the Iburi Clan?"

"Young Master, I am sorry, but I have not found any information on them yet."

"That's quite alright, after all you probably rushed through the towns. The priorities are the following: Gekko and Hatake, the Iburi clan can be looked for later. For those clans I am not quite sure what their circumstances are, but one of them has either a transparent jutsu or its a kekkei genkai. The Hatake have whitish-silver hair, and good sword skills."

"I understand, I'll get it done."

Ritsu nodded his head at Kaz's words.

It was already late at night, so he turned in for the night.

—--------------------------------------------

"It's so hot, I remember why I left you for a week," complained Ritsu who had teleported six hours ago.

"Young master, please stop the tantrum. Our target group should be just up."

'Damn bastard I've been trailing this group for almost a week and a half. During that time I got ambushed four times. Also what kind of lead is, 'weather for sale',I hope you have a heatstroke

Riku felt a strung of pain across his heart.

"Now, now as a servant you shouldn't be feeling that way towards your Young Master." Ritsu smiled.

Riku gritted his teeth and put his feelings aside, and looked forward.

Across the horizon it could be seen that a single tower was in the horizon, with specks of dots surrounding said tower.

Riku was about to announce the discovery however a gush of wind came forth as the following resounded, "Let's hurry I want a nice cozy room."

Seeing Ritsu sprint off into the distance Riku had no choice but to speed up to keep up with Ritsu, only to despair at the physical differences.

'Damn monster...how can he maintain that speed?'

—-------------------------------------------

Ritsu was currently sprinting towards the destination but as he got closer and closer.

Ritsu couldn't help but feel that he was at ease, he felt light.

It was as if nature was greeting him.

He no longer felt hot, or was he sweating.

Ritsu pushed it to the back of his mind as he figured since he wasn't in danger he could look for the cause later.

For now he needs to make sure he doesn't lose this group, as they were vital to his plan.

Ritsu started to slow down as he saw a caravan situated in the middle of this little town.

Although Ritsu slowed down, he came to an abrupt halt which caused sand and wind to blow towards the town.

The residents and the people from caravans feeling an inexplicable rush of wind and sand, since it would gradually increase instead of a powerful burst, turned to look at the situation.

Seeing a child with Pink eyes appear out of nowhere cause them to be confused.

Luckily someone stepped up to the boy, it was someone from the caravan.

He was a lanky man, quite tall, had a beard, brown hair and brown eyes.

He got down on one knee to put him at eye level with the child.

"Chil—-"

Ritsu cut him off with, "Let me see your caravan master. I am here for a proposition."

"Wh-what…," The man was lost for words since he didn't think that a child would be looking for them for their business.

They weren't really well known, the few times their services were bought, it was done by desperate villagers.

They were usually mocked as scammers as weather couldn't be bought or controlled.

As much as the caravan wanted to show people they could indeed control the weather, it went against the elder words, so they held their anger in not being able to shut the mocking they receive.

Instead they mostly lived by trading items across the desert after all no one really traveled in the desert as a sandstorm and a spike in the already overbearing heat can occur at any time.

That's how it's been since the group started and that's how they worked to this day.

Ritsu watched as the man was at a loss to do, so he took the initiative, "You know it was rude of me to make demands without introducing myself. My name is Ritsu Karatachi and I am the heir to the Karatachi Clan."

After the people heard Ritsu's introduction they all turned to whisper amongst once another hoping to find any information regarding Ritsu, or the Karatachi.

But as the Karatachi weren't on any radars, and were located in the Land of Water, it was obvious no one knew about him.

The people quieted down as another shinobi had suddenly appeared next to Ritsu. This time it wasn't a child but a grown man, who clearly looked the part of a veteran shinobi, adding some weight to Ritsu's words.

"Young Master please don't run off next time, not everyone is like you." Riku said to Ritsu though with some jealousy at how at ease Ritsu was, while he had to maintain a facade in front of these people that what he had just done didn't drain his stamina.

Though what Riku and Ritsu had done wasn't worth much recognition as they were just sprinting while using chakra to enhance their speed.

Any shinobi could do it, however it seems this small village had never seen shinobi before since it wasn't long till a group of people came over hoping to take a look at a young shinobi.

It seemed that it wasn't because they have never seen a shinobi, it's just that they've never seen such a young shinobi, nor have they ever seen a shinobi with pink eyes.

Eventually the crowd split as an old lady wearing a tailored dress seeing how it wasn't really top quality; it must have been made within the village, following her was a stout man the same height as the old land who had a hunch back.

Though the same size the stout man was wearing what the members of the caravan wore, and seeing his lively but age face Ritsu could tell he was the caravan master, a middle aged man.

However Ritsu's eyes shot to the old lady's physical characteristics, the old lady clearly had gray hair all over her head, however, Ritsu could see specks of red hair throughout different parts, while her eyes had purples iris.

Ritsu knew she was special but he couldn't tell how or why, and as he was looking at the sky hoping for an answer his gaze coincided with the tall tower that was three times the size of the houses.

He thought it looked familiar until it clicked.

While he got closer and closer to the village, he felt more at ease, his focus heightened, his head clearer than ever.

A tall tower that a village clearly couldn't build, and as Ritsu looked at the nearby house, those houses looked as if they were built perfectly, as if someone used a jutsu.

Finally he looked at the old lady, red hair, and purple eyes.

[ Hanano Roran

From then on their descendants would be able to control Ryumyaku however, only the female descendants were capable of doing so. She is a mighty Queen who would rather die than let her people die.]

'This place it's Roran at least how it should look from the beginning. Hahahah…. both objectives are here.'

Hanano, the current queen of Roran, felt the intense gaze, Ritsu was giving her, and she couldn't help but jest, "Oh please, child you're too young for me. I am Hanano the chief of this village."

Ritsu snapped out of his daze, "It was rude of me, I was just shocked—"

"Oh please—" Hanano, used a playful gesture when women get complimented for their beauty.

"To meet the queen of Roran" Ritsu finished his words as he eyed the queen.

Hanano looked at Ritsu as she held her playful gesture as her eyes squinted as she assessed Ritsu.

'We've never told outsiders the true name of the village, we always used the name Tsro Village'

Hanano's eyes went from a squint to widening as far as her eyes allowed her, exposing the full beauty of her purple eyes as they glowed.

The people surrounding felt pressure, the air seems distorted. The people closest to Hanano including the caravan master, and Riku fell to their knees due to the overbearing pressure.

Yet no matter how she willed the Ryumyaku to oppress Ritsu it seemed to avoid hurting him, in fact it seemed to caress him.

Ritsu smiled at the action Hanano took, "You know it's quite rude to treat your guest in such a way, especially against my people" Ritsu said as he released an oppressive killing intent towards the queen and all those around.

Hanano, whole body was sweating, 'Such an intense killing intent.' she looked shocked at the boy, 'So young yet he must have spilled so much blood to have such a strong killing intent.'

Seeing her people suffering under the boys' killing intent, Hanano released her control over Ryumyaku.

Once she did, Ritsu released his killing intent abandoning the serious face he just had into a joyful smile,

"It was quite rude of me to do such a thing towards your group caravan master, I hope you accept my apology as I am still not able to fully control my intent."

The caravan master simply nodded his head, though he felt fearful of the child in front of him, as he clenched his clammy hands together.

The crowd, seeing that they could move and breathe again, stood up after regaining their bearings.

Perhaps too into her thoughts, Hanano decided to speak her mind, "I have many questions to ask you but I don't think you would answer them, though I hope you would state your business and quickly leave."

"Hahahaha, don't be like that. Though we didn't quite start on good terms, I assure that I am here with good intentions."

"Boy, don't play games with me, the true name of our village was never mentioned to anyone outside of the village. Now you an outsider, a child at that, comes to us saying you have good intentions. How do I know you're not after something else."

Ritsu eyed Hanano thinking how to break things down, when he decided to screw it the villagers aren't really part of his plan. He only needs the Ryumyaku and the Yota's Clan, their ability to control weather is vital for Kirigakure's economic success.

Though how he handles things may influence their opinion on him, not that it matter anymore since he directed their killing intent at them.

"Sighhh….."

Ritsu let out an audible sigh as the complicated situation stressed his mind.

"It's a long story as to why I am here, as I said before I am the heir of the Karatachi Clan.

I am aware you do not know of my clan as my clan originates from the Land of Water.

I am sure you know that we live in a chaotic period, where one may die in the crossfire between the fightings of shinobi clans.

But what if I tell you that the era we live in will end?"

Hanano hearing Ritsu words couldn't help but contemplate, until she arrived at a suitable answer, "You wish to end the current era?.... Child that is just wishful thinking." Hanano couldn't help but shake her head at Ritsu's naive thinking, 'How could shinobi clan give up fighting, betraying, and killing each other? Maniacs….. Just like the child in front of me.'

"Me end this era…. What a joke, people might call me talented, call me a genius, or call me a monster. But there are others who are the true monster.

If I were to face them, I would be a brat. At least at this moment.

I am simply adapting to their movements. I must resp....No the shinobi world will respond to the actions these individuals take.

I am simply preparing."

Hanano stares at the child, confused at what his mean, when the caravan master intervene,

"If the shinobi world must respond to these individuals' actions, then what actions did these individuals take that cause the world to respond?"

"The Unification of the five elemental nations."

Horror was apparent on both the Caravan Master, and Hananos faces, if the shinobi of these times were brutal and killed anyone in the way of their objective.

However it was always minor skirmishes, and didn't happen quite often.

But if the scale was increased to include the size of the elemental lands, then the skirmishes between the elemental lands would be comparable to a whole clan fighting to the death with another clan.

Although those happened rarely it usually resulted in innocent towns being destroyed due to the crossfire from both parties.

This time Hanano spoke up, "So you traveled all the way from the Land of Water in the attempts to recruit me the Queen of Roran?..... I am sorry child but I will have to decline."

"Don't flatter yourself, although you are powerful due to you and your bloodline's ability of controlling Ryumyaku's power you aren't as valuable as this traveling caravan."

Hanano felt a blood vessels pop at Ritsu's words, 'These nomads who called themselves a caravan is more valuable than me the Queen of Roran. Surely he doesn't believe that they can control the weather.'

"You know it's quite apparent on your face, I can't believe you don't believe them. You have a vein of chakra, Ryumyaku, which you can control to build buildings, create domes that stabilize the temperature within the village, and possibly many more things, yet you don't believe that they may be a group that could control the weather?"

"Boy I would believe it if they were shinobi, or at least look like shinobi."

"Now, don't insult them just because you felt insulted by my words when I said they were more valuable than you. Because what makes you valuable is Ryumyaku."

Realization that he is indeed here for the Ryumyaku caused her to build chakra into her hands…. yet dispersed it the next second as she saw the Ritsu was unfazed.

"You should know by now that Ryumyaku won't hurt me, instead it's welcoming me. I am aware you ancestors have been keeping Ryumyaku in check for centuries.

But I believe it's time for a new owner for the Ryumyaku to appear.

Though I won't take it completely for myself. I plan on making a religion or doctrine surrounding Ryumyaku, and I want you and your descendants to be the shrine maidens who guard the Ryumyaku.

When I die, the next leader who will take my place, will accept Ryumyaku's power, but if they are unworthy I trust that you will deny them that power.

If you don't accept then I will simply take Ryumyaku for myself, and seal it within myself so that when the day I die Ryumyaku will go with me.

So what do you say?" said Ritsu as he held his hand in front of Hanano.

Sorry I forgot.
