Naruto: Kurogami, The Gamer Shinobi

A/N: I've put the system messages in bold for this chapter so people don't get confused of what's a system message and what isn't. If a majority of people don't like it and comment it, I'll change it for the next chapters.

In an empty, silent, dark void full of nothing but blackness rested the dead soul of a boy from Earth. He had no physical body, but his spirit looked around at nothing but darkness.

'Where... am I?' He thought, not knowing where to look as it all looked the same. He looked down to see a white outline of his body, 'Who... am I?'

[You have been given the chance to reincarnate as a Shinobi with The Gamer System] He 'saw' write letters appear in the dark void, brightening the place up a little much to the boy's joy.

'A 'Shinobi'...? From Naruto?' He questioned, realising he was familiar with 'Naruto', but he didn't know his own name or history, confusing him further.

[To begin the tutorial, open your Status by simply thinking of the word 'Status']

'Status' The boy followed, causing a small, blue holographic page to appear.

[Congratulations on opening your Status. These are your starting stats once you awake in the World of Shinobi]

[Would you like to know more about your stats and how they work? Y/N] The boy thought of his reply, 'Y' 

[Name, Age, Race, Clan, Money, Level: Displays your name, age, race, clan, money and level. Simple enough]

[Title: Displays any system titles you obtain. Each title comes with different perks and bonuses, so it's best to try and collect as many titles as you can. As of this current time, you can apply 5 titles max]

[Control: Your chakra control. The better your chakra control, the less chakra you waste and use up when performing skills]

[STR: Strength stat. This effects your body strength and durability, allowing for you to deal more power with your body and handle more damage to your body the higher the stat]

[VIT: Vitality stat. This effects your stamina and longevity. The higher the stat, the more stamina and longevity making your body last longer]

[DEX: Dexterity stat. This effects your accuracy, attack speed and movement speed, and evasion. The higher the stat, the faster and more accurate your body]

[INT: Intelligent stat. This effects your general and battle intelligence, memory, and thinking process allowing for smarter decisions to be made at faster speeds. The higher the stat, the better your brain]

[CHA: Chakra stat. This effects all your chakra abilities, such as speed, strength, capacity, etc. The higher the stat, the better your chakra]

[CC: Chakra Control stat. This effects your chakra control. Every 10 Points in this stat increases Chakra Control by 1%]

[Luck: Luck stat. This effects your luck, ranging from your luck when it comes to everyday things like finding a penny on the ground, to your drops when killing mobs. The higher the stat, the luckier you are]

[Stat Points: Displays your unallocated stat points. This can be gained from levelling up, quests, and other ways]

'Wow, that's a lot' The boy thought as he read it all, letting the information enter his brain... wait, he's a spirit right now, so he wasn't really sure how that worked.

[To finish the tutorial, you must now select your starting village. This will be the village you will affiliate with. Please choose one of out of:]

[Konohagakure (Fire)]

As the boy looked at his choices, he began to ponder. 

'Konoha is the basic option, so it would be quite cool and interesting if I chose another village like Komo... but, I'd be stupid to enter unknown land. It's better to choose a place I know really well. So, Konohagakure it is!' He decided.

[Konohagakure (Fire) has been selected. Are you sure? Y/N] 'Y' He answered.

[Konohagakure (Fire) has been selected as the starting village for ??? Tutorial has ended and the user will now teleport to his new world]

And so, blank... the boy's mind and spirit was blank, completely gone from the void.

"Mmm..." A high-pitched, tired groan could be heard as a short, cute kid with long, shiny black hair and black, tired eyes stretched his skinny body.

"AHHHHH!" "WAHHHH!" "HAHAHAHA!" Loud, obnoxious screams and cries entered the boy's ears, causing him to jump before covering his sensitive ears with his pale hands.

'This...' Adjusting to the unfamiliar surroundings and body, the boy uncovered his ears and began looking at his tiny body, standing up in the process to get a good look of his short stature, 'This is me...?'

"KIDS! GATHER ROUND!" A loud clap silenced the screaming kids as they ran into the main room filled with toys, tables, and other things.

Intrigued with the crowd, the black haired boy followed the group of kids who ended up standing in front of a short, though tall to the current him, middle-aged woman with a small frown on her tired face.

Looking above her head, the boy could see words written by the system.

[Mika, The Caretaker/Head of The Konoha Orphanage]

[Level: 14]

[Reputation: 20]

'14... is that good? I'm not really sure' The boy wondered, tilting his head slightly unconsciously, 'And Reputation...? What's that?' He wondered, causing the system to pop up in front of him with an explanation.

[Reputation: Displays the number which reveals how a person feels about you. The higher the number, the better, and vice versa. Would you like to see how the numbers work? Y/N]

"Good job, now... as you know-" Mika, the caretaker, began to speak with a smile on her face causing the boy to answer 'N' before deciding to check it out later.

"-We have a few kids starting at the academy tomorrow!" She announced with a clap, causing the crowd of kids to applaud, "Kurogami, Shinji, Ray, Hannah, and Demetri... please come up to the front" 

3 boys and 1 girl approached Mika. A few seconds of silence passed before she spoke up, "Um... Kurogami? Where are- Ah! There you are, come come!" She looked at the boy's direction. startling him.

[Change in Status: Name Change -> Kurogami] With that, the boy rushed up to the front before apologising to the caretaker, "I'm sorry... I'm a bit tired this morning" He said, before the caretaker crouched down and ruffled Kurogami's hair.

"It's okay, Lil Kuro!" She finished playing with his hair, standing back up straight as she cleared her throat, "Round of applause!" And so, the crowd and Mika clapped loudly once more.

[Main Quest: New School Life!]

Reading his new quest, Kurogami answered 'Y'. And so, the day went on with him and the orphanage playing around with toys, outside in the playground, eating, and finally, sleeping.

With this new, refreshing start in a world he was quite familiar with, Kurogami's toes curled in excitement as he laid in bed, ready for tomorrow.

'...I can't sleep, I'm too excited!'
