42 Chapter 42: I, alone, am an army.

Everyone looked at Oden with big eyes.

"Oden, don't underestimate their Kage, he is the fastest person alive. The only person to surpass him is the fourth Hokage." Hiruzen warned.

"They also have two Jinchuriki, alongside another low-kage level powerhouse." Tsunade warned as well.

"Not to forget their army..." One of the advisors said with a sigh.

"It's you guys that should be aware, have you forgotten what made the eternal Mugengan so scary? each Eternal Mugengan receives a powerful, special ability." Oden said as his aura became heavier and his sclera turned black.

"That's.. right, then how strong are you now with that ability." Hiruzen spoke as he remembered that the final stage of the Zaraki clan Dojutsu has a special ability.

"Strong enough that if I were to face all Kages at the same time, they wouldn't be able to kill me." Oden said confidently.

But truthfully, they would be able to if they used their brains.

Yet his words shook the people who heard them.

None of them spoke.

"Alright, I'll agree to it!" Tsunade said finally.

"But Oden-please be careful and return safely... and don't let our villages go to war, we can't afford that." Hiruzen sighed.

Oden nodded before turning around he had to return home and prepare.

Although he didn't need the permission of the fifth, it's better that she agrees since he doesn't want his clan to be troubled because of his rebelliousness.

After he returned home, he sent someone to bring back his wife.

He would go to the village hidden in the cloud tomorrow, and the trip would take two weeks if he went fast, maybe one and a half weeks if he went the fastest he could.

He didn't have to hurry since Kumo held his people as hostages and such situations could last for months. Communication between the villages could take a long time.

Soon his wife returned home with a worried look.

"Oden-kun, are you fine, what happened?" she said in worry as she hurried towards him and started feeling him up, searching for any wounds.

"I'm fine, it's just that I'm going for a mission tomorrow morning, an important one and I won't be back for at least one month, maybe two." Oden explained.

Hinata suddenly stopped what she was doing and looked up at him in worry.

"Will you be fine?" She asked worriedly.

"There shouldn't be any problems, the goal is simply to show Kumogakure that we also have powerhouses here in Konoha." Oden explained ambiguously.

He knew Hinata would hear about the details of his mission after he left, so instead of it being choking and making her worry, he might as well say it in a way that won't scare her.

"I see..." She said with a tone of sadness.

Oden simply smiled, he took her hand and led her to the bedroom.

The next morning Oden stood at the door as Hinata was hugging him.

"Don't worry, I'll be back soon." Oden said as he patted her head.

"Make sure that you're done with your new jutsu by the time I'm back." Oden said as he turned around.

But before she could even open the door, someone else did.

A short old man stepped inside the house and stared at Oden.

"I heard about your mission, are you sure about this?" Akai asked his grandson.

"Yes, don't worry." Oden confirmed.

"Hmm, just remember yesterday, Don't let me have to see more of those." Akai said as he turned around and left.

Oden understood what he meant.

"See what?" Hinata asked.

"All the troubles I have caused, he's telling me not to cause more trouble." Oden lied.

Akai meant that he didn't want to see another gravestone from his family, but Oden didn't want to worry Hinata, so he didn't explain.

Oden walked out and started walking until he was far enough that he couldn't be seen by Hinata.

"Migoto, Mina." Oden said without emotion.

Both of them appeared beside him without a word.

"While I'm away to bring back our people, Migoto will take care of clan business in my stead, Mina, you take care of my wife, make sure she's safe." Oden said without looking at them.

"Yes sir!" Both said before flashing away.

Oden continued to walk through his district. Lots of people came up to him to greet him and show their support for him as the new head.

And the more he met with the people under his protection, the angrier he became... At the fact that someone dared to kidnap his people.

'I'll have to remind the world of the Zaraki name once again.' Oden thought to himself.

In the mansion, Migoto was seriously staring at Mina.

"Did you see his face..." Migoto asked.

"Yes, he's not playing around... How I wish I could be there when Kumo learns of their mistake." Mina said in regret.

Tsunade sat in her office with a somber face. She understood that the consequences of Oden's actions might lead to war.

"Don't worry, he is wiser than he seems... And he is probably right. They are stepping on our toes to see if they can walk all over us... This might be something good." Hiruzen said, trying to convince himself more than Tsunade.

"Yes, but we can't afford war right now." Tsunade said with a frown.

"The best defense is a strong offense," Hiruzen said.

Soon there was a knock on the door as Kakashi stepped inside.

Both Tsunade and Hiruzen were shocked to feel Kakashi's presence.

'So he finally overcame his past, how?' Hiruzen wondered in his mind.

"Your Chakra isn't as low as when I met you last time?" Tsunade questioned.

"Hokag...Oden-Sama helped me to regain my Strength." Kakashi replied.

"Oden... Of course he did." Hiruzen said in realization with a smile on his lips.

Even Kakashi, with his lazy attitude, spoke with respect toward Oden.

"Then the mission I have for you will be easier, I want you to trail Oden and help him in his mission, if he were to need it." Tsunads said, to the elite Jonin, whose Chakra had gone up to rival low kage-levels.
