The roaring naginata was even larger than Hiruzen's body.

 A strong sense of danger made this seasoned Hokage swiftly leap backward, avoiding the deadly edge of the naginata.

 However, the wind created by Whitebeard's swing sent ripples across Hiruzen's face, even as he landed on the ground. 

 His teeth, showing signs of poor health from smoking, were exposed as he battled strong winds.

 Hiruzen was taken aback. 

 He quickly formed hand seals, a cloud of dust enveloping him.

 "Earth Release: Earth Wall!" 

 A wall of earth suddenly surged up, blocking the fierce winds that had been pushing him backward. Hiruzen then jumped atop the high earth wall, which was over ten meters in height.

 Since Whitebeard had already attacked, Hiruzen, the leader of Konoha Village, couldn't afford to stand idly by.

 "Earth Release: Earth Flow River!"

Hiruzen once again performed hand seals, causing his chakra to surge. His robes fluttered as he directed a powerful flow of chakra.

 The ground beneath Whitebeard's feet transformed into a muddy swamp, causing everything below his knees to sink in. 

 The muddy swamp rapidly flowed backward, 

 pushing the massive and burly Whitebeard away.

 and repairs were still ongoing.

 The raging flames enveloped the entire street, casting a brilliant light on Whitebeard's face.

 "Gurararara! Why is it that every ninja can breathe fire?" Whitebeard suspects that his foolish son, Ace, may have eaten the Flame-Flame Fruit in vain. He could also control flame by learning ninjutsu!"

 Whitebeard grinned and without hesitation, slashed horizontally. His blade created a gap in the flames.
