The Land of Sound.

In a country above the Land of Fire, predominantly filled with forests, it might not be like the Land of Fire itself, but it had its own vegetation. Despite being small, the country also had a hidden village: the Village of Sound, or Otogakure. This village underwent major changes many years ago with the arrival of a certain ninja; however, it still operated normally.

This would be another ordinary day with some missions being selected for various groups of ninjas. The missions were similar to those in the elemental nations, but they couldn't secure the best ones due to being a village in a small and not very strong country, so they did worse jobs with less remuneration, but they could still operate their own businesses.

A group of ninjas began to move through the area, leaving the village, consisting of 3 genins and a chuunin as supervisor.

"Let's carry out our first field mission. Please be alert to anything," the supervising shinobi said to the three genins. The group was on a mission to the northern border, between the coasts of the Land of Sound and Iron.

As they approached their mission, everything seemed calm, but while they were jumping between the trees, suddenly, a shockwave emerged from the forest, hitting them before they could react; they all quickly fell, at that moment, due to the pressure of the "Conqueror's Haki."

After seeing them fall, they were picked up by Kimimaro, who laid them on the ground; soon after, Naruto and Akame stepped up behind, looking at the three individuals on the ground. "They fell pretty easy," Akame couldn't help but comment, looking at Naruto.

"Yes," Naruto admitted. "This village doesn't have many powerful ninjas. Knocking down genins is easy and a chuunin is not too difficult." He said and turned his gaze back to his companion, "Do you think you can trap that chuunin in a genjutsu?" Naruto asked, after all, they had bypassed the country to get past the less prevalent patrols in the north and found this group along the way, as a good way to gather information.

Akame seemed thoughtful about it, "I don't know. I've only tried it on bandits and some lower-level ninjas... I can try... but it will be risky, after all, he might break out of the genjutsu or even recognize it later..." She said, knowing this was a mission of infiltration.

"That's okay, we'll practice it later..." Naruto said, knowing she should train her genjutsu with stronger ninjas in the future. "Then use it on the genins, we don't want to be accused of invading the territory of a hidden village so easily." He said, after all, they were after a specific target, and from the information given, he had major connections with Oto.

"Now let's gather all the information we can... use your genjutsu on the genin." Naruto spoke again, then stepped forward and slapped one of the genins who quickly raised his dazed eyes and the first thing he saw was Akame's Sharingan.

He quickly fell into a trance and in silence. "What do you want to know?" Akame asked Naruto.

"I want to know about the entire structure of the Village and its main points, the military power, and how the guards' routine works," Naruto spoke, but without much hope for all the questions, after all, they were just extracting information from a genin.

The genin quickly replied: "The village is built in a square format, its walls are not very big, just 14 meters, and our main chief is in a large building in the middle of the village." He said calmly.

"Do you know the military power of the Village?" Naruto asked, and the man shook his head, looking into nothing. "No," he replied.

"Do you know how the guards' routine works?" Naruto asked again, and the man once again shook his head in denial. "No," he replied.

"What should we do?" Kimimaro turned back to Naruto.

Naruto seemed thoughtful. "Well, we didn't get good information... but it's okay... let's continue with the plan, Akame, just make him sleep again so they can come up with some excuse for what happened and let's follow our path to try to invade the village." Naruto said.

They quickly continued their way, coming from the north where the village's defenses were weaker, but there were still many Sound ninjas patrolling the area. Naruto guided them, passing by the ninjas here and there, not knocking anyone down as they just moved through the blind spots and hidden areas, thanks to Naruto's Haki which could predict their movements and sense them better than any living sensor.

They stopped when they finally reached the base of the Village, with Naruto focusing his Haki ahead. Although he was much stronger than when he was 6 or 7 years old, he still couldn't cover the entire Village, but he reached the building that the genin had mentioned from that distance, since the village was many kilometers away.

"As I thought... this village doesn't have a ninja with the strength of a Kage, just an elite jonin..." Naruto said, sensing the strength of the man as he seemed to act like his father, stuck in an office reading reports with some ninjas protecting him.

"What are we going to do?" Akame asked this time.

"Let's wait until nightfall. That way, we'll enter through the blind spots and tonight there's no moon..." Naruto spoke, and they ended up staying, waiting until dusk.

During this time, Naruto was the most impatient among them, as this mode of operation, with the ninja waiting until the best time and staying on top of a tree hidden, was very boring in his opinion. But he had no choice, so he kept these complaints to himself.

When the darkest point finally covered the sky, while avoiding any sentinels in the forest, they decided to act at that moment.

They headed towards the walls, which they quickly reached and passed some ninjas in their blind spots on the wall, entering the village. It was a place with simple houses, almost similar to Konoha, but it didn't seem to have economic and nighttime activities, after all the village was quiet, unlike Konoha during the night.

They continued stepping on top of the houses and moving towards the center of the village, where some ninjas were monitoring and the village at that moment, even inside on top of the houses. Naruto easily circumvented them. And they finally reached the main building.

Naruto quickly entered the place and the ninjas who were guarding the location quickly became alert to this and without wasting time, Naruto quickly launched his Conqueror's Haki here with much more pressure, which stunned them for a second, but enough for Naruto to turn into light. He quickly moved through the room with his speed and began to hit everyone on the head, which they couldn't react to, making them faint the next moment.

As soon as the way was clear, Akame and Kimimaro entered the room soon after, seeing Naruto, who was already looking at the documents on the table, searching for anything that would indicate where his target was.

He began to scour the entire place until they found something quite interesting looking at some hidden documents beneath the table.

"This is quite revealing..." Naruto commented looking at the papers.

"What is it?" Akame asked curiously.

"First, the one in charge of this village is a ninja named Orochimaru, he is the real man who controls the Land of Sound. He was a companion of Jiraiya and Tsunade..." He commented.

"Should we worry about him?" Kimimaro asked.

"I don't know... but if we need to fight him, we'll enter into conflict, there's also a mission by him, even though we don't know if we can handle him..." Naruto spoke and returned to another document. "Anyway, I found our target..."

"Do we have his location?" Akame asked.

"Maybe yes, what the first document informs us is about this Orochimaru having several hideouts throughout the country, but this one says our target is in the hideout to the west... we should look..." Naruto spoke calmly.

"What do you think...?" Kimimaro also asked looking at the document.

"It says the meeting place for new members of an operations team he is forming, it must be something like my father once said, of him having led a special forces team called Root, but he used this team for his own gains and even used it to try to destroy the Uchiha clan..." Naruto spoke.

"He..." Akame clenched her fists angrily... She harbored a deep hatred for Danzo and wanted to kill him as soon as she could.

"He's also asking for bodies for experiments and wants a specific girl who is in this village..." Naruto murmured the last part thoughtfully, as he took his eyes off the papers to look at a specific side of the village.

"Anyway, that's all we need, right?" Kimimaro asked, and Naruto nodded.

"Yes..." Naruto scoffed and then continued. "With this, we can leave the Village," Naruto said, and both began to withdraw. He once again followed the hidden path, evading the gazes of the sentinels, until they finally left the Village again, returning to the meeting point.

"Shall we camp or go straight to our target?" Akame asked.

Naruto heard this and just nodded at them. "Neither. I want you to wait for me here and avoid any sentinels..." He said.

"What do you plan to do?" Kimimaro asked curiously, after all, Naruto didn't act much on missions, only when necessary... even more so alone.

"I felt something with my Haki in that village... Usually, I would let it pass, since I can't do this all the time, but there's something different here," Naruto spoke.

Before Akame and Kimimaro could react, he had already jumped into the air, using geppo, and headed towards the village again. He had only come with them here to help them exit the village without drawing the attention of the ninjas.

Naruto then headed to the village once more, going after the presence he had felt, a very peculiar one, that reminded him a lot of his mother...
