running away 2

I left for my school not far from our house, it was a few meters away from where we lived.

I came very early around 7am

Normal classes usually start from 8:30

No student was seeing in sight except our class teacher ,Mrs Beverly

She has average boobs,plump lips,a well defined hip and glossy skin

I can say she is a beauty to behold.

I stride confidently looking forward to where she was standing, with a smile plastered on her face she greeted "Good morning Nannan, why so early today?" She questioned

Caught off guard I muttered " Good morning mrs Beverly"

She questioned again this time she was so polite " why so early today"

"Uhmmm nothing really ,I just felt like" I forced myself to say

"If anything is bothering you don't forget to let know okay"

I nodded in agreement and finally she moved away .

I waited in the classroom for awhile before I started hearing laughing, cheering, gossiping of other students who just came to school.

The bell was rang around 8am prompt and all the students went to the assembly ground as usual after been addressed by the school principal, each grade retired to their various classes.

Mathematics class began around 8:30, it lasted for an hour and thirty minutes.

Shortly after social studies class was to start but the subject teacher was no where to be found, I found out later from a friend in school that

Our social study teacher Mr Johnson's wife gave birth that morning, so he went on a leave,I nodded in satisfaction

We sat laugh,gist, tease one another till it was break period when other kids went for break,I decided to stay behind, cause I never ever wants to be spotted or have a hint that I will be leaving.

I looked around, making sure that no one was looking,

I grabbed my school bag and sneaked out of the school following a short cut out of the school.

I ran all through out with my heart hammering my chest out of nervousness, panting and sweating all over

Luckily I made it to the market square without being spot by anyone,I found a place wipe my sweat, and from school uniform I changed into a fitting floral gown, I rushed to the park that goes to the city, I started asking around for directions on where to go for registration , a woman pointed at a place not far where I was standing, I rushed there to register, upon reaching there,I moved forward to seeing a middle aged man sitting, he's someone I usually see around in village. With a questionly look he broke the silence between us and asked "Young girl are looking for someone" almost stuttering " no ,no o sir I want to register, I'm going to the city" I finally replied

He looked puzzled and confused at same time he called the manager , he came and looking at only me standing with a bag in hand.

He stared at me for some time and asked "where is your mom ,why didn't she come with you"I had to lie that she went to visit a relations who lost a family member

"And what about your dad"

Sharply "he has gone to work "

I replied boldly in a clear tone looking straight into his eyes

Out of no where came the driver, whom a few words with manager , register me and said to the registrar that I was here few days with my mom but didn't know that it will be this sooner

"Hope they gave you money" the registrar finally said"

yes sir " I replied almost whispering , inside excited and sad at same.

I'm leaving everything behind, my family, my friends, everything ,I will be on my own now,I don't even know where I will stay if I get to the city,at that moment I was so lost but snapped out when I heard the driver shouting " Everyone get inside, we're leaving" I went in sat at the side of window looking at the place I called home for 10 yrs for the last time with teary eyes and mixed emotions.

The vehicle started moving, not long flashed back from previous days flush in like flood.i remembered few days ago when I followed my mom to the market and somehow ended up in the park to collect some packages sent by my aunt from the city, I remember persuading my mother to talk with the drivers

About me traveling to my aunt's during summer holiday.Maybe that's the reason why they allow me go with them.

Thoughts of my mom and dad,my siblings rushed in,how will they react , when they finds out that I ran away, I'm very sure they will be so disappointed in me .

I snapped out when the driver stopped gas station to fill his tank.

I decided to take a nap, I can say I slept through out the journey, sometimes we'll stop for refreshments and so on.

All the money I saved in my piggy banks for the past few years,I took them all with me, I was with so much money,on the way I did entertained myself with snacks apart from falling asleep .

We spent almost 25hours on the road before finally reaching the city, it was Already

6am in the morning, with the illuminating light of the morning sun rising in the horizon.

Awoken by the noise of the bustling lively city, Everyone seems to be busy with their daily lives, and most of all seems to be minding their Businesses,the crowded streets, tall buildings and a constant hum of life, everybody seems to be be on a hurry and on a move to and fro.

We made it the park and I quickly got down for the bus and flee the area before , I getting interrogated about my family members and why they are not yet in the sight .
