Resuming the Journey.

Lyon was lying on the ground while finding it hard to get up. Slowly though, his body starts to shrink to its original size.

While this was happening, the system had already shown a message to Nate.

[Initiated member "Lyon" is in a critical condition. A host needs to restore his health before he dies]

Nate did not need to be told that Lyon was in a bad condition now because the usual act of getting up to face off Peter had stopped as he lay down on the ground.

But at this moment, Nate realized that he knew nothing that could help Lyon.

But he could only toss what his hand grabbed that instant at Lyon.

It was the corpse of the dog that was tossed towards Lyon, who before the corpse could touch the ground, had reached towards it and devoured the meat.

While doing so, his hand had turned into claws again with two sharp teeth out from his mouth as he stabbed them on the body.

Seeing this, Nate was thankful, because he did not really know if it would have worked, but slowly, Lyon's health was back to normal though not as good as it was before.

Nate walked towards him and when the latter was through with his meal.

"How do you feel?" Nate asked him when he got closer to him.

"You were the one that told him to do that right?" Lyon asked with a furious tone.

He of course now knows that Peter did not intentionally start fighting him, he must be promoted by someone and the only person who can do that is Nate.

"Knock it off, I was only trying to see how strong you are now and how strong he is also" Nate answered, stretching out his hand at Lyon.

The latter could not do anything but took the hand and stood up.

"Don't ever have the thought that I will just kill you like that. After all, you have a power that has the potential to grow stronger in the future and I want to grow it for you" Nate assured Lyon.

Though Lyon was kind of angry at Nate for what he just did, what angered him the most was that he was cut off guard and the slap was not by any means a weak one, if not he wouldn't be bleeding in the first place.

Even with that anger, when he thought about something he learned from the fight, he couldn't even stop the smile on his face.

Nate noticed this but he thought that it was because he praised Lyon that had made the latter smirk like a devil.

"We have done quite a lot of damage here, I think it's time we find another location" Nate mumbled.

Not that he was not comfortable with the place but, because could hear the sound of an engine, not just only that he could also hear the footsteps of people marching towards them.

He quickly gathered all he thought might be of help in the future as he and Peter with Lyon started to head in another direction, not just by walking, but they were all running fast...

About an hour after they left the area, a bulldozer came into sight with three people practically sitting on it, followed by about twenty or more people armed with rifles.

The bulldozer's front metal blade was cut off and its chain wheels were replaced with a large car-size tyre.

Currently sitting on the bulldozer was Kai himself, the redhead man with his bodyguard.

A few times, Kai looked down from the bulldozer only to feel like he was in a high-story building, but he was only in a modified version of the bulldozer that the redhead men three scientists created.

Kai was shocked when the redhead man brought out the bulldozer, for them to take a stroll around the catastrophic city.

After confessing what the strange crystal could do, of course, none of them believed him but still, the scientists were told to find a way to create a weapon from the crystal even though they knew nothing about weapon crafting.

"So if I complete the trial, you will tell me your name right?" Kai asked.

The redhead man shook his head and said.

"Yes, I will tell you my name if you can get your hand on a crystal, Mind you, none of my troops will help you even if you are in a death situation"

Hearing this, Kai gulped a mouth full of saliva.

That instant he closed his eyes as his consciousness traveled to another place.

Still lying on his bed with his thoughts somewhere else.

But all of a sudden, he heard a voice in his head.

_"Hey Mia they are still a problem_ 

"Kai?"

"What are you doing?" 

Mia quickly sat up from his bed with a question tag on his face.

_"I know you said that next time I would be the one that will be fighting my own battle_ 

_"but think you need to see this_ 

Soon, both Mia and all the triplets were back in the darkroom as they watched the things display from Kai's point of view.

"I don't know what is happening to me. The scientists working for the boss on my base had discovered a crystal, but for some reason, I was able to know what the crystal could be used for" Kai started to speak with a projector of the crystal that appeared on the side of the view. 

It was a new thing for them because they were not told about this function.

"It seems like they are things that we were not told by the skull. For now, we just have to wait till the next time he will be appearing, as for now, let's focus on how to get you to pass this trial"

"Remember just as I said before, you will be the one fighting your battle," Mia said.

Red raised his hand as he started to speak.

"Though you are not a good fighter, I will give you some advice. Just follow the line, and you will always come out with victory"

Soon, the bulldozer came to a stop as the redhead man started to walk forward.

Packaging the sand in his hand, he starts to inspect it.

"There was a battle here not long ago," he said as he looked at the corpse lying in a certain direction of the area. Its body was eating half with the other already degenerated.

'What do I expect from a world like this? The strong one feasts on the weak one.

"Okay little body, find the animal that killed this dog or maybe you can find another crystal for me" 

Meanwhile, inside a dark room with the five matrices present.

'What was I expecting? It would of course be a hard one, ' thought Mia inwardly but he still said this to Kai.

"Just like Red said, follow the lines"
