Sweat could be seen creeping up out of Speed and the healer's face as Dike's tentacles approach them, but halfway, just before it could swing the sword at the two, it suddenly stopped and returned to Dike.

Speed and the healer could only close their eyes to await their death but it never came, at least not yet. The two slowly opened their eyes to see what has occurred.

Dike was still standing like a statue with no head, blood clouds are seen gushing out from his throat, and his tentacles has fallen on the ground unmoved.

Seeing this the two took a deep breath as they looked at Tel who was approaching them alongside the other man that managed to control the bullet path.

"We need to get out of here but first, we need to find a way to pop this bubble," Tel said as he slowly approached Mini who was still trapped inside the bubble. Tel didn't hesitate and shot some bullets at it, but it bounced back at him, luckily he was expecting such an outcome and was prepared to dodge it.

"Just like I expected, it has the same effect as that of Fish, too bad he is no more to witness such a thing out here," Tel said, meanwhile, Speed started to have a weird feeling.

"What if this was his ability? What if he was killed by that kid and managed to find a way to take his ability?" Speed said.

"What are you talking about, there is no such thing possible, according to the hunter's lab, they said that zombies can't wield the energy used to power our ability," Tel explained.

"Either way, if the base were wrong, then bringing him back will mean a great reward for us," Tel said as he looked at Dike, however, his face frowned.

"Why is that zombie still standing?" he asked calling the attention of the other.

It was common for a zombie to slump whenever their head was damaged or destroyed, however, for some reason that was still unknown, Dike was still standing. They were still preoccupied with confusion when something they all considered impossible happened.

Dike's body suddenly moved, not just his body, but these entire tentacles were swung and it was done blindly so it ended up knocking a few things out.

Speed was able to dash out of the way along with the healer while Tel was left to use his power, he swapped position with a stone nearby, and the other man was left helpless, though he tried using his telekinesis power it was useless and one of the tentacles wrapped around him then pulling him over to Dike.

"How is this possible, how can a zombie survive without a head, this does not make any sense," Tel screamed in his mind, he got his guns ready and was shooting at Dike but it was of no use, the tentacle with a shield was blocking all of them.

Meanwhile, Speed was forced to run around the corner, the tentacles were not giving him any chance to pull out his sword plus he was carrying the healer behind. 'I know we shouldn't have underestimated that boy,' He thought and didn't dare to stop at all.

The other man with telekinesis ability was pulled over towards Dike and was grabbed on the jaw. Dike squeezed hard and crushed his jawbone. He didn't stop there.

The tentacle that was holding the man suddenly went back into Dike's body and in doing so, some small purple tentacles came out from his as they rose and took a brain shape structure.

Seeing this happening, Tel's body trembled. "it's really happening, he is regenerating a new brain, but how is this possible, how can a zombie do such a thing?" He desperately shoots at the new brain that has been formed but the shield tentacles was blocking them.

The tentacles throw the shield at him, sending him flying backwards. "Shit, I can't believe a small zombie is giving me this amount of trouble," Tel said as he spits out a mouth full of blood.

The tentacles were swung down at him but he used his ability to swap position with a random object in his sight.

Meanwhile, by this time, the brain has already taken its full form and soon, a white shell started to cover it up.

This was not just a normal shell rather was a skull and it soon covered the brain, Now that he has its skull with a new mouth, Dike didn't hesitate to bite down on the man he was holding. As he consume the flesh, new tissues were covering his skull and soon he was back.

Dike was the first to ever recover from a headshot. Regardless of what just happened, Dike was not done with the man in his hand. He opened his mouth and took the man's head into his mouth and chewed on his skull.

What Dike was looking for in particular was the man's brain. After doing this, another tentacle grows out from his back. 'That was a close one, ' Dike thought as he looked at the other two dead bodies not far from him and he used his tentacles to move them over to him.

He quickly bit off the two heads and two more tentacles grow from behind.

What Dike just did was something he never knew he could do, though he was already having an idea of the reasons for this.

When his head was destroyed, Dike initially thought he was dead, everything turned dark and he couldn't see, smell or hear anything, everything was dark and this brought him to the conclusion that he was dead.

However, that was till a system appeared before him.

Nate has privileged all his horde to have access to the system and thanks because of that, Dike was able to know about this.

Before he selected a brain, he first tested out what it felt like without a brain and it was at this moment he grabbed the guy.

"I told you, I'm way stronger than before," Dike decreed as the new set of tentacles he got picked up a weapon from the inventory.

With the telekinesis guy dead, Tel know that he had no way to defeat Dike, the shield tentacle was just too troublesome and could read all his movements.

Speed soon appeared beside him and hold his hand. "There is no way we can defeat him now, his tentacles had increased and it's just a matter of time before our name is written in the list of those he has killed," Speed said and could feel Tel clenching his hand tight.

"We will come for you later," Tel said and pointed his gun at a far distance before shooting. He quickly swap positions with the bullet and disappeared from Dike's sight.

"When next you come, I will be stronger than I am today," Dike muttered. Just then, he could feel something and when looking at where it was coming from, he found out it was Mini who was still trapped inside the bubble.

Dike popped the bubble and Mini quickly ran towards him. "I can't believe it, you are still alive," She said while hugging Mini.

Dike really felt bad that he could not feel any emotions now, but he still returned the hug, and that was when he saw the tears on Mini's cheek.

'Was she crying?' he wondered.

Regardless, he didn't think much about it, however, he was focused on what just appeared before him.

'Finally!' Dike rejoiced and selected yes.
