Back to Winter island.

In a cold winter land filled with snow and a few trees, one could see bonds and the dead body of a beast laying out through a particular forest.

Looking at the dead bodies, one will know these were the dead bodies of some mutated animals, some looks like human skeletons or so, however, the majority of the dead bodies were beast and their bone could be seen scattered everywhere.

In one of the areas, a huge figure could be seen holding a large bone like a sword, the bone sword looked like it comes from a beast's tooth or something.

The bone sword wasn't the only bone equipment the huge figure was holding. On its waist was another bone tied around like a wipe and on his shoulder was a beast skull.

The huge figure was also covered in a thick fur coat from his shoulder down to his lead.

This figure is none other than Scarlett, one of the Titanic zombies Nate has in his horde.

The latter was the one behind all the dead bodies laying all around the area. This was because the area he is standing right now belongs to Nate and he has been assigned to protect it from being territorial pissed by another beast.

Just now, he has just taken down a mountain lion beast that just ran into the territory seeking to conquer it.

Picking up the body of the beast, Scarlett pilled off the beast's skin and tossed it into his mouth and started to chow.

Scarlett have been assigned to protect this territory by Nate when he was about to head back to others.

Nate knows that if he was to leave the territory just like that, then other beasts will try to take it as theirs, and if such were to happen, Nate won't have any means of coming back to the forever winter land.

Because of this, Scarlett was selected to guard the territory till Nate returns and the Titanic zombie was doing pretty fine defending the territory.

Picking up his sword, Scarlett started heading back towards the tree house. While in the wood alone, Scarlett's intelligence has increased quite a bit and he now understands the importance of a weapon and could make himself one from the beast's bones.

In no time, he arrived at the tree house while sitting on one of its roots and tilt his back on the tree.

This has been in how he stays in the territory. He will only move when hungry or when any intruder seems to enter the territory.

Meanwhile, as Scarlett was leaning upon the tree, inside the house on the tree, in the teleporter room Nate have created. It suddenly lights up bringing the entire house and in no time, a group of people appeared in the house.

These people were none other than Nate and his selected horde who for the main time will be assisting him on the mission.

This group of people consists of, Lyon, Sin, Bull, Levi, Twain, Mark and Lynn.

Some have accompanied them. People like Max, Cab, and Zuni were with Sin.

There are also a few people who have come from Bull side. People like Doug, Shad, Alina, and a few others.

The others were all male except Alina. Alina and Levi used to be the only female soldier working in Bulls base.

Doug was someone that has developed a strange power as soon as he regained his control. He used to be the one training the base k9 dogs.

What surprised the others though was the fact that he still somehow can command the K9s even though they have gone wild.

"Shit... Here is really cold!" Lyon complained as he hugged his arms together.

Although they were still inside the house, they could still feel the coldness in the surrounding.

"Quick, everyone, activate your warmers, " Mark instructed.

One of everyone's wrists was a wristband that was created by Mark.

Of course, Nate already knows the disadvantages of them as zombies have been here and he would not dare bring a group of zombies here without being prepared first.

The wristband on their arm was one of the devices Mark created in preparation for this journey. It is a warmer that will keep the zombie's body from freezing and it has come in handy right now.

Everyone turned on the device and they felt the cold from earlier leaving them.

"Now the plan is simple, the reason why we didn't bring a battalion is because we have to first find our way into the settlement. After that, we can find a place to conquer our territory. with this, we can plant a teleporter which will be easier for us to leave and enter the settlement without heading all the way here," Mark explained and with that, they all were out of the building.

Sensing that someone was in the territory, Scarlett stood up from his position and moved back, ready to fight...

It was then Nate came out from the tree house accompanied by others.

"You really have done a good job, this made me wonder should I free you now?" Nate said to Scarlett.

The conditions of the surrounding just proved to Nate that Scarlett has been doing just what he was asked to do.

The dead bodies and bone of the beast was just proof of that. At this point, Nate was considering freeing Scarlett from the zombie virus.

'I don't know how you will react... I was the one that turned you into a zombie after all, plus our first encounter was not friendly,' Nate thought.

If there is one thing Nate was concerned about, it was about losing control of his horde.

He feared that if Scarlett was to regain his intelligence, the latter will break out from his horde authority and might even become an enemy.

'It's best if I leave things as they are for now,' Nate concluded.

As he was still having this thought, the inventory mist started to appear on Scarlett's hand and soon after, a mountain of beast crystals was seen falling out.

Seeing all this, the first person to react was none other than Lyon who dived into the crystal like it was a pool.

'On second thought, maybe you deserved to be paid for your hard work, but that will be later,' Nate thought with a smile as he could see a few crystals that caught his eyes.

It was three crystals, and they were at the king level to be precise.

Picking the three crystals, Nate kept them for himself for future use. Meanwhile, Nate gave Scarlett a titan crystal which the latter took.

'This will do for now,' Nate thought.

"Come on everyone, we still have an entire cliff to climb, " Nate gestured.

Scarlett was still left to guard the territory as the others journeyed towards the cliff.

Unknown to Nate, Leo was at a far distance watching him and his horde.

"I wonder what option he chose, now" Leo muttered to himself.
