Now they have arrived back to forever winter island, the only thing now is to get into the settlement. However, the problem here is that the settlement border is heavily guarded by both humans and drones.
It will be practically impossible for them to sneak in especially now that they are a little bit large in number.
Regardless, for the main time, they didn't border to think much about that for now and focus on how to climb up the cliff.
Luckily for them, they didn't encounter any of the whitebonez nor any other sort of problems while travelling and in no time, they reached the cliff.
"It's best if we increase our pace, the whitebonez might not be out now because of the sun but soon, they will be going out for hunting," Cab warned.
"Honestly, am curious about this whitebonez of a beast or zombie. Are they really that strong that even with people like Nate, lyon and so on here, should we still be cautious of them?" Twain wondered.
"Trust me, you will never want to go against that stuff," Sin replied him.
Sin does not speak more often to them, but whenever he speaks, he is damn serious.
With that, everyone was already getting ready to climb the cliff.
Meanwhile, Nate seems to have been lost in his thought.
'This is it, no going back, I haven't made up my mind on which one to focus on but am already making a move for one,' Nate thought remembering the messages that popped up in from of him a few days back.
[Your NPC have presented the option of the task before you. It's up to the host to choose from these two task which one he wants]
First option
[Destroy the matrix origin ]
[Reward = Unknown]
Second option
[Put a stop to the zombie Virus spread and creation of zombies]
[Reward = Unknown]
Third option
[Take them all]
[Reward = Unknown]
This message left Nate in thought for a while and yet in the end he was not able to make what he thought was the right decision.
Because of this, Nate could only do one thing he thought was the best and that was calling for a meeting.
A meeting was held in Bull base where Nate went ahead to present the issue at hand to them in the hope his horde will help him make the right choice.
Of course, Nate has gone all out to tell them all about the mission, the origin of the matrix. The only thing he didn't dare to say was that he came from another dimensional earth quite similar to the one they are at.
After explaining things to them, his horde reaction was never what Nate was expecting. First was that they were more than happy to be among those plotting about humanity's future, and were more than happy to help out.
After learning about the matrix, they all had a lot of questions about them, but they believe that Nate himself might not have the answer to their questions and decided to suppress them all.
With that, they all decided to go on with both quests at once. One is that, if they were to go after the zombies, is not like the matrix will just sit and watch them do their things, they will eventually attack them.
Then if they were to select going after the matrix, that will mean them abandoning their main purpose of wielding the system.
In the end, they all decided to go for both rather than selecting one out of the two.
For now, they will have to be taking care of the zombies while at the same time preparing in case the matrix decides to attack at any point.
As it stands now, Some of the zombies from Bull base have been sent to capture the zombies roaming around the nearby city. They are not to be killed but rather be captured and put into a hibernation state.
Initially, clearing the zombies was meant to be the easiest out of the two option quests, after all, all Nate and his horde has to do was travel from city to city capturing mindless zombies.
With them being zombies, no need to worry about the zombie virus plus they were already strong, Nate believes that this is something he alone can do, however, it will only take time but effortless.
Unfortunately, things were not going to be that easy, since someone elsewhere has prioritised it himself to create more zombies, Nate know it was never going to be as easy as he thought.
"I don't know who is behind the creation of the whitebonez, but a few things have been linking up lately. One is that we found out that someone has put general goo into the position he was in before, and they have to be a reason for that," Nate muttered to himself.
After conquering General Goo's base, it's a pity Nate was not able to get his hand on general goo's brain if not, a lot of his questions could have been answered.
However, that didn't stop them from looking through files in the base. They found out the location where all the meteorite stones and the captured people were being sent to.
And surprisingly, the location was none other than the forever winter island. This has left Nate wondering if this was the government doing. Whether this was their way of helping the people.
However, after looking deep into the files, they found out that all this was because of one man, however, his identity was still unknown, and no file has anything to say about his identity.
In the end, Nate and his horde decided to wait for the man to visit the base again but that never happened that's why they decided to look for him instead.
'I know that I am meant to gather the other mindless zombies, however, if the population of the whitebonez are rising, then this means I have to start from the whitebonez, I have to put an end to their creation before moving to the other zombie,' nate concluded.
Despite that, he is yet to select an option, whether to go for both or select one out of the two. He just wants time to tell for him.
In no time, they have reached the top of the cliff where they rest a for a while because of the few humans with them.
From the top of the cliff, Nate looked out into the distance and frowned. Everyone noticed his actions and also looked towards that direction.
They were shocked at how heavily guarded the border was.
"It was not like this... There is more watchtower than before, and the number of guards and drones patrolling has increased tremendously," Nate couldn't help but notice.
"Maybe they have been attacked or something," Sin said.
What Sin said could be the reasonable reason why border security has increased quite a lot. However, this also meant a lot of problems to them because with this level of security, only by miracle can they sneak through the base.
"But, what exactly is strong enough for them to be highly alerted?" lyon asked.
Nate already have an idea of what might be the case but before he could voice out, they could hear the alarm from the station border going off indicating they were being attacked.
"The whitebonez,"
