Chapter 99 First Contact

In a secluded and dimly lit room, a figure with black cloak can be seen drawing a magic circle on the ground.

The cloaked figure brings out a black book from his spatial ring after he's done drawing the magic circle.

"Seniorre cerebera attenum vocatiumera meam! Seniorre cerebera attenum vocatiumera meam! Seniorre cerebera attenum vocatiumera meam!" The cloaked figured chanted. The intensity of his voice keeps rising every time he repeats the chant.

The cloaked figure goes on for mostly 10 minutes before a black miasma starts to emerge from the magic circle he drew earlier. However he didn't stop his chanting, he continue for another 10 minutes until he exhausted almost all of his mana.

The black miasma that emerged from the magic circle starts to shape up to a humanoid figure. Once the black miasma around the circle completely dissipates, a creature with four tentacles by its mouth appear in its place.

"Who dare summoned me and disrupt my feast?" The summoned creature said in annoyance.

'Wh-what is this monster and why does it knows how to speak our language?' The cloaked figure said inwardly, clearly taken a back at the kind of monster he summoned. 'Maybe it will still work, my rank in the guild will rose if I manage to tame a monster of this caliber' he added.

"Familiar Contract!" The cloaked figure shouted while throwing a scroll with runes engrave on it at the creature. 'Please work!' The cloaked figure prayed inwardly.

The scroll manage to stick to the creature and the runes that was engrave on it starts to glow. The creature scans the area and tries to find the person who threw the scroll. It is clearly annoyed by the insignificant mana that's trying to get a hold of his consciousness.

"Venire satin mori!" The creature with four tentacle by its mouth shouted. The scroll that stuck to him earlier evaporates in thin air.

At the distance, behind a huge tree, the cloaked figure who threw the scroll starts to convulse and blood comes out from his nose and ears upon hearing the words that the creature uttered. This cause the creature to find the source of the attack.

"A mere mortal disturbs my peace!" The creature said while looking down at the convulsing cloaked man.

The creature stares at the pitiful warlock who summoned him before chanting an inaudible spell. Seconds later the body of the warlock exploded into a swarm of insects, the only remaining part of him is his brain that is now floating at the direction of the creature.

The creature's meal time is interrupted yet again by a loud knock that comes from outside the room he was summoned.

"Seth open the door right now! Guild Leader Siegfried is on his way here right now, we need to hide all the evidence!" The voice outside of the room shouted while thumping the wooden door. "We can't risk them knowing that we are using Abyssal Magic to boost our power." he added.

The voice coming outside of the door is expecting his friend to open the door with haste however what welcome him is an unknown creature to him.

Before he can react, numerous footsteps coming from where he came from echoed throughout the halls. The newly arrived warlock doesn't know what to do next, both of his escape route is being block by someone whose equally scary to him.

The creature that's in front of him didn't utter a single word but kept eating the brains of his recent prey.

'Wh-what is that? Where is Seth?' The warlock said inwardly. The moment he notice that the monster is eating something and Seth is not in the room, he wish Siegfried and the rest of his guild mates comes sooner.
