Chapter 4 Slime

After discussing with the Guild Clerk on what should they do next. Both Cleo and Leah decided to grind until level 20 so they allocate their points accordingly.

Cleo chose to put his points on Str and Vit hoping to get a melee job while Leah put hers on Int to get a support range class or range dps class that focus on magic.

They decided to go back in the forest to kill more slimes or find goblins as per the Guild clerk instructions if the slimes stop giving them experience points.

After killing a few 1* Neutral Slimes, a 3* Neutral Slimes appears. * Level increases once the monster ate enough experience points from weaker monster. Some of them evolve but some of them just grow in size like the Neutral Slime.

Cleo and Leah looks surprise since they didn't expect to encounter a 3* monster in this area.

"Leah! Keep your distance!" Cleo commanded.

Leah nodded while she jump backwards from the Slime.

They didn't know if the 3* Neutral Slime have different moveset from the 1* variation so their plan for now is to observe it.

Once the slime senses the movement of Leah it launches itself into her.

Leah dodge sideward then perform a sideward motion with the dagger grazing the slime.

Cleo noticed that even though Leah only grazed the slime it looks like it receive a huge damage. Cleo then realized how powerful the additional stats from his God's Gift Fated Lover.

Their basically 12 levels ahead in terms of stats with the same level as them. So even though Leah invested her points on Int she still manage to damage the Slime with her basic Str plus the Fated Lover's effect.

"Nice hit Leah!"

Hearing his darling's praises Leah shuddered and started forming a sinister smile.

'If I kill this slime by myself will Cleo reward me?' Leah says inwardly.

With this new found motivation Leah crouch to prepare and then she jump at the slime direction doing a downward slash motion cutting the 3* Neutral Slime in half.

Leah albeit recklessly dealt with the 3* Slime by herself. She then glance at Cleo to readily accepts her reward however Cleo instead of kissing her or at least patting her head, he flicks her forehead instead.

"Leah you can't just rush in like that. What if there is a move that we are not aware of or if you get hurt?"

Even lecturing her, he can't help but admire her bravery however in this new world that they know little about there's nothing wrong with being cautious.

Before Leah can speak Cleo hug her and kiss her forehead. Leah blush with his sudden action.

"I'm sorry darling I just got too excited." muttered by Leah.

"Its okay. Im just concerned that's all."

After their small exchange they proceed to hunt more isolated slimes until they reach level 15 which the experience points from slime stopped dropping.

They then find a nearby tree to rest before they start looking for Goblin and start grinding again to reach level 20.
