5 Chapter 5 First Promotion

'Ah! This is heaven~' Leah think inwardly while hugging Cleo's left arm and resting her head on his shoulder.

After an hour of rest the pair decided to continue with their journey and hunt goblins this time.

Not long before they started traversing the forest a group of 4 Goblins appear. Three of them are equipped with a knife and a wooden shield while the other one have a bow.

This is the first time that both of them will face a group of enemy. Cleo is not comfortable with the encounter since they have no idea what tactics this pack will use. He thinks of a way to escape however two of the Goblin Solider already position themselves behind them.

Cleo hesitated at first but he resolute himself since this is the only logical tactic he can think of right now.

"Leah try to distract them and I will charge at the goblin with a bow and arrow." whispered by Cleo.

Leah analyze their situation as well, she is a bit hesitant with the plan since it might put Cleo in the crossfire however they have no other choice sine they are outnumbered.

"Go!" shouted by Cleo.

Leah graze the shield of the Goblin Soldier in the front and proceeded with the plan by running to her right. She caught the goblin attention and Cleo used this opening to charge at the Goblin Ranger behind the soldier.

*Swish*

With the Fated Lover's additional stats and the Goblins natural lower defense he killed the Goblin Ranger in one strike. The two goblin behind them didn't react at time while the other one was chasing Leah.

After confirming the kill Cleo then proceed to chase the Goblin Soldier that's following Leah while the two remaining goblin followed behind him.

"Leah! I'm done with the ranger!" Cleo shouted.

Upon hearing his voice Leah then turn around and face the Goblin Soldier that is following her then charge at him instead while Cleo is charging from behind. They caught the goblin by surprise and killed it.

Leah was surprise by her action because it looks like she read Cleo's plan however she brushed it off thinking their love with each other made this happen.

With just two remaining goblin left each of them took one and easily finish them off.

Cleo let out a sigh of relief after confirming that they kill the goblin pack without a scratch.

"Good job Leah!" says Cleo while patting her head.

Leah just nods while smiling from ear to ear.

With this new found confidence and tactic they continue killing Goblins while prioritizing Goblins that are isolated or in pair.

Several Goblin later both of them finally reach level 20 and after allocating their unassigned points the system shows each of them the job that they can change into.
