Since it was the beginning of fall, the trees on the mountain were rather barren. On top of that, it was almost evening, so there were not many tourists on the mountain.
Facing the glow of the sunset, Frank and Connor were about to step into the church when they saw an old man perched atop the tall wall.
The old man stared at them for a long time and jumped off the courtyard wall cleanly. He asked with a smile, "Do you want to get your fortune told? It's 100 dollars per person!"
Connor rolled his eyes.
He had seen many people like him offering to tell fortunes in front of churches. Most of them were scammers.
Connor didn't want to waste his time. He quickly took out a few bills from his wallet and handed them over. He said, "Here's the money. Don't block our way. We're going in to look for someone."
