Molly sneered and retorted, "It's none of your business!"
Felicia was neither angry nor annoyed. Instead, she said meaningfully, "You should be careful, then. Lucille has made so many enemies. If you end up getting killed because of her one day, no matter how much you regret being by her side, it'll be useless."
Upon hearing that, the smile on Molly's face gradually disappeared.
Felicia thought that she had succeeded in sowing discord between them and was secretly delighted. She didn't expect Molly to shake her head. "You're wrong."
"What?"
"You're wrong," Molly repeated in a serious, sincere, almost stubborn, and firm tone.
Word by word, she stated, "If that day really comes, I won't regret it."
If that day really came...
She would not regret it.
She was only worried that no one would be able to understand how scarred and frail Lucille was under her hard shell.
She was only worried that no one else would give up everything for Lucille's sake.
