After saying that, Felicia looked at Lucille nervously. She wanted to see her reaction and was worried that Lucille would overthink the man's remarks.
In reality, though, Lucille acted as if she didn't hear it. She sized up the killers and asked lazily, "Where's your employer? Is he not here yet?"
Her tone made it seem like she was the one in charge. She sounded calm and unhurried. Rather than a hostage, she was like a distinguished guest.
The leader of the kidnappers was the man who had just spoken. Seeing Lucille's calm demeanor, he said with interest, "You're brave indeed. As expected of Mr. Joseph's woman. You're much better than a pretty girl who does nothing but cry."
Lucille glanced at the man and said indifferently, "Hurry up and tell him to come. We shouldn't waste each other's time."
"Aren't you scared?" asked the man.
Lucille sneered and retorted, "What's the point?"
"That's true."
