In the van, Lucille looked out of the window at the retreating scenery. Her expression was calm as always.
It was as if she wasn't a kidnapping victim. Instead, she was sitting in a private car, accompanied by a driver and a bodyguard on a trip.
The two killers were silent for a while and had to admit their defeat.
Soon, the car approached a dilapidated building in the suburbs. After making several turns, it finally stopped.
The two killers got out of the car first, then opened the door. They were extremely obedient to Lucille along the way. They nearly invited her in.
However, when they realized that they were supposed to be the kidnappers and she was their hostage, the two killers refrained from doing so.
Lucille glanced at them with a faint smile and was led into the dilapidated building.
There was no railing on the stairs. As they went higher and higher, looking down was enough to make one feel dizzy.
Of course, that only applied to people who feared heights.
