The Audacity!

Cindy got through the classes she had with Quinn so far without saying a word or looking in his direction. Luckily for Cindy it was lunchtime so she wouldn't have to see his face for the time being. Or maybe not.

"Where's should we eat?" Samantha asked Cindy while holding a tray of chicken strips and tator-tots.

"I don't know, anywhere without Quinn nearby." Cindy pointed in Quinn's direction who was standing in line for lunch.

"Oh we can sit here." Cindy said after concluding it was a safe distance from where Quinn would probably sit.

"Oh okay..." Samantha, my childhood friend, looked in the direction of Jake's table and sighed. Samantha has had a crush on Jake for years, so she had wanted to sit at his table before it filled up.

"Sigh...You can go." Cindy said after noticing her friends sad look which instantly brightened when hearing Cindy's reply.

"Yay! Thank you!" Samantha grinned and quickly left to secure the spot nearest to Jake. Cindy on the other hand was left alone at the table.

"Is this seat free?" A voice asked near Cindy.

"Yeah, you can sit down." Cindy replied with her head in the clouds.

"Thanks." Cindy heard the voice and whipped her head around to face the person who had just sat next to her.

"You!" Cindy muttered, clenching her teeth at the sight of Quinn.

"Thanks for letting me sit here I would've been alone, really I appreciate it." Quinn smirked as he slurped some kind of red-ish juice box.

'Liar!' Cindy thought after seeing all the groups of people shocked at him not sitting with them. Quinn had gotten quite popular with the 'cool' group. Quinn talked for what felt like hours with people visiting the table and some even sitting there. Cindy got up after finishing her food, took her tray and started to walk away.

"Where are you going, Cindy?" Quinn said like he was an old-time friend of hers, with obvious pleasure. Cindy ignored him and walked to put her tray away, but still heard Quinn snicker. Cindy knew that what Quinn had done was not nearly enough to make her hate him the way she did but she couldn't help but loath his entire existence. Cindy walked out of the cafeteria and onto the soccer field. She didn't play soccer but there was free ball so she might as well. Cindy kicked the ball around before getting bored and gave it a hard goodbye kick. She turned around to start walking away when a soccer ball came spinning and hit her in the head, she turned around and looked for the assailant.

"Quinn!" Cindy shouted steaming with anger.

"I was aiming for the goal, let's hope I don't miss again" Quinn said while twitching the corner of his lips up while holding another juicebox.

"Ugh!" Cindy stormed off in anger and headed inside. She walked down the hall looking for a place Quinn couldn't bother her and found only the bathrooms would do. Cindy sat in an open stall and wished Quinn could just disappear or she had some dirt to stop him from bothering her. Withthis newfound determination, Cindyschemed ways to find dirt on him, (she thought it was more realistic to choose this option). Cindy was caught up in her thoughts and realized there was someone else in the bathroom.

"Jenn, have you seen the new kid?" An unfamiliar voice said. Cindy thought to herself with a snigger of self-righteousness 'Ha, finally someone sees his true nature and he gets what he deserves, gossip on.' Cindy was struck out of her illusions by what she heard next.

"I know Quinn, right? He is super good-looking!" Another unfamiliar voice spoke. Cindy almost choked as they turned out to be having a girl talk instead. 'Good-looking? Quinn?' She started to wonder if they were talking about the same person and began to think back what Quinn looked like. A sense of defeat washed over her as she recalled Quinn's image in her head and realized they were correct. Quinn, despite being a demon, was good-looking. Cindy felt as if she had just tripped before the home stretch in a marathon and Quinn had run past securing the trophy. 'No! They weren't completely right! Yeah Quinn's good-looking, but not SUPER good-looking! Plus I'm not to shabby myself.' Cindy reclaimed her mental tie with Quinn and noticed that the two girls had already left. She washed her hands and quickly started to prepare for the next class, P.E.

*Fweeet!*

Mr.Carter blew his whistle and had us stand in a line from side to side on the end zone.

"Listen up! Pick a partner!" He yelled so everyone could hear. Cindy sighed and looked around for a free person. Normally Cindy would have partnered up with Samantha but Samantha doesn't have P.E because she's part of the track team. Cindy searched and found everyone had already found a partner and went to the teacher to ask if she could do it alone.

"You can partner up with Quinn over there!" Mr.Carter said pointing to the left where Quinn was waving with an unfriendly smile. It's not that Cindy hadn't noticed Quinn alone it was because she thought he would pare up with someone also because she would never voluntarily be his partner. So she counted him as having a partner. Quinn was the only one left so she started to walk playing a somber tune in her head.

"Hello again, we've met so many times today, must be fate." Quinn said with grinned going from ear to ear. Cindy ignored him and waited for further instruction.

"Okay now get back to back and rotate a ball around both people. You can use your hands or your feet to do it, just make sure your arms are interlocked and you don't face each other." Mr.Carter shouted.

"Tsk...Had to be this exercise..." Cindy muttered. She didn't dislike the exercise per say but the partner.

"So let's use our hands, okay?" Quinn said already back to back with Cindy.

"Yeah it's easiest." Cindy replied picking up the ball. Both Cindy and Quinn had to bend to get the ball. Cindy started to pass it and Quinn accepted it and they kept passing it around.

"I didn't think you'd be good at this." Quinn said on their seventh time around.

"Hah?! What's that supposed to mean?" Cindy dropped the ball feeling insulted.

'Who does he think he is!?' Cindy questioned with anger.

Honestly I think I messed up Quinn's character quite a bit. Or maybe it's all part of the plan. hehe.
