CHAPTER 3: Dungeon

[Day 6]

When I woke up I Found myself in the cave of the goblins I slaughtered.

"How did I get here?I don't remember walking to the cave".I tried to think but the last thing I could remember was seeing the slime engulfed in darkness.

" Oh that's it,wait who said that"!?I didn't understand whose voice was answering my questions and looked around the cave to see if someone was there but there was no one.

"I must be hearing things" just as I said that the voice spoke again

"What my skill?I don't remember using the a ability.When did I do it"? I asked the voice resounding in my head but this time it didn't answer." Suspicious "I then activated appraisal to see my new status but it didn't activate.

So now I've not only lost some skills but I also gained new and better skills.That's amazing. Just as I was admiring my new skills something hit me and that something was hunger.

" Of course I would be hungry after such a battle"with those words I stood up,stretched out my body and went out of the cave." How long was I out for?"

"What!"If one were to look from the outside it would be like a cat is talking to itself.Some would even find it cute.

I searched the area near the cave for prey when I came upon an eagles nest.I used [Gluttony] to appraise the eagle

Seriously another one with divine protection,this is just insane.

Not wanting to have a drawn out battle I decided to use my dark magic: lv6 [dark nebula] and poured all my mana into it to finish the battle quickly.

In a matter of moments the battle ended.

The eagles body was nearly destroyed by my dark magic" that's some crazy magic"I was in shock at how strong the magic was.So this is the magic that killed that insane slime.

Not wanting to eat raw meat again I used fire magic:lv1 [fire control] to cook it and with the added bonus of [cooking:lv1] it tasted better. After eating the eagle I was still not yet satiated and went to its nest and saw three eggs and out of hunger I began eating them.One by one the eggs got eaten until not one egg was left.

It only stopped after 11 times,it seems the eagle was a higher species then me.

I'm stuffed "Hey gluttony I have a question,why is it when I eat something I don't just directly mimic their form"? I asked this question after I gained the ability to change into a griffin because it seemed weird.

"Well that's kind of sad I wanted to maybe one day eat a dragon and soar through the skies being hailed as a strong monster but..."thinking to myself however I cut off that thought because I mean it's a dragon there's no way I can beat one.

Giving up on the idea I decided to activate my [Mimic] skill for the first time and change into a griffin.

My body started to feel hot and change shape. Dark wings sprouted from my back, my front legs changed to that of an eagle and my face took the shape of an eagles. I looked like a dark griffin after my transformation " So this is what gluttony meant by 'compromise'.It actually look better to me,well whatever "I then poured mana into my wings and took to the skies.

The skills [air reading][fly] and wind magic:lv1[air control] made me fly like I was a pro.Looking from up high the forest stretched out far and wide it looks beautiful and peaceful but it was anything but that.

"I've always wondered where this forest was,hey gluttony use appraisal on the forest and give me info about it" with those words a screen popped up in front of me with the information of the forest

I was a astonish at the fact I was still alive, if it wasn't for that near dead researcher I would've been long dead by now." So that's why even weak monsters have divine protection.

"I heard the gods were bestowing their protection to gain more followers, but I didn't think even monsters would have it.Wait, isn't it a bad thing that I have only faced enemies with divine protection, I hope the gods won't get angry" I put my claws together hoping they wouldn't get mad.

When I opened my eyes I saw a cave far away from my cave with [clairvoyance] and flew in its direction.

After reaching the cave I used appraisal to see what it is

"So this is one of the dungeons in this forest" looking at the entrance I remembered that I wanted to become an adventurer and clear dungeons.

A smile appeared on my face at the thought of the monsters I would face

"I want it...I want to clear it"with a hunger filled smile I said those words,I knew I just ate yet I was hungry again.I decided to find a safe spot to sleep since it was almost night and decided to enter the dungeon tomorrow.

[Day 7]

I woke up to drink some water and readied myself to enter the cave.After stretching I entered the cave,the entrance was a long corridor that lead to an open space that looked like a plain with rocky mountains.

All that could be seen were weak monsters.I didn't want to eat a lot of weak monsters so I only ate one {one horned rabbit} to fill my stomach.

It didn't even give me any skills or a form of mimic.I headed in the direction with a door inside the mountain I saw from far away with my clairvoyance skill.There were no monsters that attacked me on the way so it was a peaceful walk.

When I reached the door it opened automatically and inside sat four monsters feeding on the carcass of another monster.

The name of these monsters were {orcs}.

Three of the orcs looked like they didn't know the first thing about fighting while the one at the back looked like a leader that has been through many a battle.

Again,I'm getting tired of these divine protections.

The first ones to attack were the three orcs which I suspect was summoned with the [summon:kin] skill.

They were still new to battle however so they were cut down fast with a barrage of [wind blades].

The high orc stood up and grabbed its club lying next to it.He then proceeded to activate [body strengthening] and howled activating his skill [intimidating howl:medium] to weaken me.I responded and use [overpower] to cancel out the effect of his skill.

Then using mimic I transformed into a dark kobold to be able to use two arms for battle. Using [tentacle generation] I created a long tentical from my wrist and surrounded it with mana to further strengthen it creating a pseudo sword out of a tentacle which was as hard as a rock.

I leapt forward and struck him with my 'sword' but he stopped it with his club and countered at the same time.I barely dodged it and moved backward to a safe distance but the orc closed the distance in an instant with one jump.

The club hit me from the side but I manoeuvred my body to parry the blow with my tentical sword.

My sword crumbled and I only sustained minimal damage and finally got a safe distance away by used wind magic:lv4[wind vortex] to push him further away.The high orc then used earth magic:lv2 [earth spears] and spears appeared all around me.I was pierced by a spear trough my left leg but ignored the injury and broke the spear off without taking away my focus from the high orc.

[Regeneration] kicked in and healed me in a matter of seconds but just as my injury was healed [Detection] picked up and incoming projectile coming from my blind spot.

I was to slow to react to the earth magic: lv3 [earth javelin], it pierced through my stomach and sent me flying into the wall creating a hole.

A surge of energy came through my entire body.I got out from the hole in the wall covered in blood.Without giving the orc a chance to attack I used [dark nebula] and it was swallowed in darkness but it wasn't dead after the spell finished.He was covered in wounds and became enraged, made his grip on the club more firm and dashed in my direction using [charge].

"Your clubbing skill is higher than my swordsmanship skill however losing your cool could lead to your downfall,I should know "I said those words because I had experience.

The moment I said those words four tentacles grew from my back and went in the direction of the charging orc.

The orc put his club in front of him to block the tentacles but the tentacles shattered the club and pierced his body.As it fell down it looked dumbfounded.

High Orcs POV

What it destroyed my orcs I summoned with one attack. They should at least be as strong as an adult tempest eagle,so why?

What is this cat, it then transformed from a cat to an odd looking kobold and then created a long rod out of its body.

Why?Why is it so hard to kill.I am a high orc damnit and a floor guardian, I won't be killed.

Die,die ,die ,die ,die ,die, DIE!

Wait ,what it this dark substance?Oh no I got to get away,ah to late It hurts, it hurts!!

Is this how I, a great and noble high orc is going to die,no...NO!!

I refuse,I have a gods divine protection, I will not die so easily!

I immediately activated the skill and exchanged most of my mana for strength and in rage activated [charge] and dashed in its direction.

Then tenticals grew from it's body,"I've already broke the tentacle before with one swing those things are to fragile".

I lifted my club to block it but the tentacles were not stopped, what?

They destroyed my club and pierced my body,one even destroyed my heart(mana crystal).I didn't know it could use [corrosion attack].

Chimera's POV

Why did my tentacles break his club you ask,that's because I used [corrosion attack] to enhance it and break the club.

"But my tentacles were destroyed and I also sustained damage. This is a skill I should only use to enhance inanimate objects like a sword, it's a good thing I learned that now rather than later" I've finally defeated him and felt my strength leaving my body.

This time I leveled up 16 times.I'm nearing a hundred "I wonder what will happen at level 100" I asked myself while walking over to the orcs corps.

I first used [fire control] to cook the orc then ate it and it was, Delicious!

It tasted like high quality pork and I could not stop myself from eating him.Unfortunately I couldn't eat the other three since they disappeared because they were summoned without a sacrifice as a medium.
