Since he was still one of the weaker students he knew this would be perfect for catching up to the stronger students. His current goal was to be able to get strong enough to defend himself.

he took a defensive stance as a large collisseum materialized with an opponent standing on the other side. He noticed a scoreboard on the wall of the arena stating the names.

His opponent smirked. "This should be easy" he thought to himself.

Quantum's weapon was a broadsword so Thaleus assumed the man would have power behind his hits.

Thaleus readied himself and right before he was about to rush Quantum went into a dead sprint at him. Hoping to get a quick kill he put both hands on his sword and swung horizontally towards Thaleus.

Thaleus stood there and double used Time Lapse. As soon as the sword reached the 5 meter distance around Thaleus his eyes widened when it slowed considerably. Thaleus smirked Then disappeared in front of Quantum's eyes. Thaleus had used Time Warp and thought about moving forward. He was now directly behind Quantum and he flipped around and cut Quantums throat with both his knifes zeroing his health in one hit. The fight took 5 1/2 seconds from the moment the sword reached the Time Lapse meaning Thaleus had half a second left over from his stacked Time Lapse.

(Winner The Clock Master) *Ding* +20 exp Thaleus pumped his arm in triumph and happiness over his win and on top of that he could gain exp from his fights. he noticed a bar next to his name move halfway across he assumed this was his level meter for tier 1.

Thaleus clicked accept hoping he could farm wins off one person to finish his special quest as quickly as possible. On top of that Thaleus wanted to test out a theory that might add to his arsenal for the future.

Thaleus took a defensive stance again and started to focus on his hands holdingvthe daggers. This time though Quantum used his ability. He was a tier 3 solo buff user. he buffed all three of his stats 3 fold abd closed the distance in an instant. Thaleus barely had time to use his Time Lapse which slowed down his opponent just enough to dodge back so that the tip of the blade caught his cheek. -10 health. "Fuck, he's strong." He used time warp ending up behind his opponent. This time Quantum was ready though and he immediately started swinging the sword around. However Thaleus knew the same trick wouldnt work twice so he Time warped back to his original position now facing his opponent back then as he went to strike he forced his focus on his blades and tried time warping just his arms to strike faster... "SUCCESS" *ding* (new skill discovered: Warp Slash cost: 7 stamina each extra hit uses 3 more stamina.5+ hits Warp Flurry added bonus +10% added strength) his arms moved instantly as if they were phasing through time. He comboed his opponent hitting 5 times in less than a second. (Winner The Clock Master). Quantum was dumbstruck. "There's no way he trumped my speed after buffing" he thought. What he didnt realize was that Thaleus wasnt moving faster he was manipulating time itself cause his attacks and body to move without even a millisecond passing between the instance. Unfortunately this exhausted Thaleus's stamina until a new match started.

*ding* +20 exp the satisfying notification showed up. However he didnt get a new win for his special quest of defeating 10 opponents. It looked like he would have to defeat 10 seperate opponents to get his special quest completed.

Thaleus picked no and searched for a new match.

Thaleus continued to fight, but no one showed the skill level that quantum displayed. He knew that he should have lost that fight amd only got lucky with his fast thinking and tactful fighting.

Thaleus was ecstatic about the results about his growth and was more than happy about his decision to wait till after the testing to do his daily mission. He wouldve never learned of the arcade game without this decision. He left the arcade with a hop in his step and headed bacl for the dorms.
