In fact there were various reasons why Hyuga Akihiko took Shishui's soul!

The first being his recent experiment of the power of the Rules of Death in the Shinobi World.

The second being his research on the basic power of gods to take away souls. He had this inspiration from the Marvel universe where there were a lot of different planes a soul could go! Souls could go to Valhalla if they were Asgardian, Mephisto of Hell often take souls as well, Souls could go to Heaven, sould could go to the Vishanti, in short there were a lot of examples. The main soul collectors however, were the gods of death like Hela, Hades, Yama and Death.

Maybe there are others but it doesn't matter!

If those gods could really extract souls he figured out that there must be some use to them. Akihiko originally thought that once he takes the soul, he would have an instinctual reaction to it, therefore guiding him on what to do with it. However it seems that it was just wishful thinking.

Scratching his non-existent beard, Akihiko was in deep thought, but he could no longer devise what to do. Furthermore, with an unreliable system at hand, his problems need to be solved by himself.

Pushing thoughts about this away from his mind, Akihiko decided to continue his research. There was a final third thing, he wanted to confirm.

Since a Dōujutsu was the window to ones soul, could he get another intact Kotoamatsukami from Shishui's soul?

It should be possible with a massive amount of mindpower or spiritual energy.

However this idea on its own was flawed. Its not possible for the soul to have a bloodline! This was what he forgot! Due to Akihiko living as a soul for a very long time, he gradually forgot about the importance of the body, what a soul can have and what a body can have. What made them so distinct yet so important at the same time.

'I see, the bloodline allows the manifestation of the soul to act or appear in the material world! The physical Uchiha bloodline makes it possible for ones deepest desire to manifest in the material world through a soul medium. The bloodline is not powerful enough to project the whole soul, its only the deepest desire of the soul that's possible!' Akihiko had a sudden realization.

Its not exactly right or wrong to say that Dōujutsu was the window to ones soul. Infact this only applied for the Uchiha, not the other Dōujutsu. The other Dōujutsu, only take soul energy/spiritual energy to run with no other attachments. Well its not certain if the Tenseigan could do what the Uchiha bloodline do, however one thing was certain at this point in time!

Uchiha are truly blessed! With such a massive cheat like ablility, it's a shame that none of them realized the potential of what lay in their hands, and those around them also failed to realize this as well. How sad!

It must be known that techniques that could actually give to one what he deeply wants or needs is as rare as a Quilin horn or a Taotie's scale! This was not normal at all, because the power of reality and thought are vaguely seen in this Dōujutsu! It must be known that 'Thought' is a Rule!

Thought could change anything and do anything. A mortal could turn into a god, into Buddha, into a Devil with just a thought! As seen with Li Qiye in Emperor's Domination. Thought was intangible therefore one could just think that all his enemies died and then…..

Since Thought is intangible, distance was not a barrier and nothing could stop it! Such a terrifying thing lay inside such an eye and certain idiots only want to eliminate it. Very hateful!

Akihiko silently cursed a certain monkey and his bandaged friend. Well he couldn't blame them at all, since it was just now that he even figured this out. He had a 'gods' perspective and he knew a lot already therefore its only natural that those stinky old geezers knew nothing.

As for the power of reality…..

Reality manipulation was best described using Wanda Maximoff, a famous sentence used to change everything. He didn't know the specifics but the Mangyekou could potentially change the reality of something! For example, the techniques that originate from the Mangyekou came about from the joint power of thought and reality manipulation.

A direct explanation is the Amaterasu, as this flame cannot exist in this Multiverse! However due to the power of reality manipulation and thought, this flame now existed in the Multiverse. Some might think that this is simple but it is not simple at all!!

This was on the level or even more powerful than Creation of all Things!!

Were does all the Amaterasu flame come from? You can't say that its stored in the eye or created in the eye. If it were the case then the carrier would have already burned to dust! Therefore there's only one more explanation. The power of thought and reality warping directly made a Heavenly Flame Amaterasu situated somewhere in the Multiverse. Then through the eye technique,part of the power of this Heavenly flame is summoned or drawn to the line of site of the user. Thereby achieving the effect of burning anyone or anything the eye sees!!

This is exactly why the Uchiha are blessed! It must be known that gods or cultivators alike that touched the mystery of 'thought' are miserably small! And even if some did dabble in it, they didn't go far due to its profundity!

Shishui's Kotoamatsukami directly mobilizes the power of thought to alter a persons personality, mind, emotions and memories even their impulses and subconscious.What was more terrifying than this?

What Genjutsu? The power of illusion is simply not enough to achieve this no matter how powerful! Even the laws of illusion could not change a person's memories, only mask it with a counterfiet. Besides the laws of illusion is a derivative of the Thought Rule!

Therefore it could be seen that Akihiko's hypothesis was very correct.

Akihiko couldn't help but sigh. Truly a hidden gem hidden in such a place like the Shinobi World! If power is solely concerned then the Shinobi World might not even be in the top 50 of all 'anime' world out there. Not to talk of novels, comics or manhua. However this place housed such a terrifying power!

Akihiko was sure that all shown Otsutsuki didn't know about this at all! No one knew of this! He was certain!

If this was the case then he needed a way to obtain this bloodline! Even if he was content with the Tenseigan, he didn't want to give up on a chance to comprehend the power of 'thought'. Akihiko guessed that as a Dōujutsu evolves it gradually embodies certain laws in itself. Like Susuke's future Rinne-Sharingan which gradually took on the laws of space. If Sasuke had two of those Rinne-Sharingan then it won't be difficult to deal with Obito and Otsutsuki Isshiki so far as sufficient chakra was present.

This was no bullshit because a 'law' could potentially change anything, not to talk of the Law of Space that was designed to counter Otsutuki Isshiki and Obito's powers!

Isshiki's Sukuna-Hikona could freely change ones size, changing one's size was useless if one was simply banished out of the current plane! By then a meticulous search combined with a gradual reduction of the banished space would eventually lead to his exposure! This method was used against the protagonist of 'I am loaded with Passive Skills' a lot of times. The protagonist could also use a power similar to Isshiki's, but even more powerful, however despite this, it was useless against his enemies!

Daikokuten was useless since it could be easily accessed and controlled with the laws of space! This is the terrifying aspect of laws! And above laws lay rules! What a terrifying Uchiha!

However, Akihiko refused to believe that the Byakugan didn't have its own peculiarity, if not why would all known Otsutsuki have it? Maybe only Hagoromo as a half breed didn't have the Byakugan, however this didn't change much. Who cares about that old man anyway?!

Maybe there's something even he didn't know about the Byakugan! Anyway he would leave all of this for the future since he was in no hurry to improve himself! In this period of time he was going to invest his time in the study of the Human Body and Medical Ninjutsu!

This was his original obsession and it will still be! He needed to unlock the secret of the body since he could not go into the secrets of the soul as of now! And he didn't even want to….

Gazing at the distance with his Byakugan, Akihiko slowly contemplated his next move! " Since I can't use Shishui's soul to make me more Kotoamatsukami's then I should preserve the body! Maybe I would need it in the future!" After making a decision, Akihiko vanished and returned 5 minutes later.

He, of course went to retrieve a preservation pod! This was used to preserve a corps for over a maximum of 3 months! This was quite common in the Ninja world since a family might not be able to prepare for a burial immediately due to various reasons such as financial strain, tradition, Ninja attacks, even political reasons! Therefore, this was not uncommon!

"In 3 months, if my plans go well, I can have my own laboratory and better equipment! By then a better method will be used to preserve this corps!" Akihiko slowly placed the corps into the pod or better yet a casket!

Activating the mechanism, white mist immediately flooded the closed casket completely blocking the view! This white mist had the effect of greatly slowing down decay and deteriation. It also served to block the leakage of any vitality in the body. There was no vitality in Shisui's body anymore so the effect was kinda useless….
