This Is Probably The Worst Cleaning Team Ever.

In Ayane's outburst, she has officially declared that Remelia would be her enemy from now on… ironically. And to keep them in the right direction alone is exhausting. What do they say about teenagers again? Yeah, teenagers are exhausting to take care of. Even though Remelia is (could be) a hundred years old or somewhere along the line, she still acts like a normal teenager.

It's just not possible to think the vampire is older than me.

"I won this argument!" Remelia starts.

  "No, you didn't."

  Yeah, this is hopeless.

Amid their back to back verbal attacks, I get up and finally mop the floor.

The two of them are still on it. This is also fine, at least they are not dragging me in their Olympic.

"What do you mean, you're older than I am? If anything, you're younger than my little brother. And he's a middle schooler," Ayane attacks.

Remelia parries, "Don't your father teach you anything! Don't judge something by its smell! They could be delicious too! (But rarely so.)"

  "You just contradicted yourselves."

I ignore the rest of their talk.

I've never mopped such a tiring floor.

There's still fifty percent of the floor not wet and there's a sudden silence in the room. I guess that's them taking a breath. Or brainstorming counter sentences to use.

But I was wrong… I guess? Remelia keeps opening her mouth and closing it back soon, and Ayane is rubbing her chin with such a menacing look. I think they're finally running out of words.

Ayane catches what I'm doing… nods to herself and turns to Remelia. "You know what? I'm done with you." She gets up and walks toward me.

Remelia snorts, "Heh, I guess that's you accepting my win. I'm not surprised."

  "I don't care, Flandre."

  "My name is not Flandre!"

Ignoring that, Ayane stops by me. I stop my busy hand.

She licks her lips. "Sensei, do you need a hand? I can help with anything." She says that nicely, but Ayane's face tells me something different. 'Just give me something to do than sit with a mentally sick person.'

I'm not the person who lets down a help but...

I shrug, "You could help me, but we only have one mop here, so…" I glance around the satisfying room. That's the thing, there's almost nothing to do. But knowing Ayane, she wouldn't nod to that. I clear my throat. "I guess you could help me by tidying things up here."

  "Can do."

  Ayane walks to the bookshelves.

I shake my head with a sigh. When I try to mop again, Remelia stomps her feet in front of me. Her teeth are clenching... I could see her little fangs. Whatever it is she wants, I know it's going to be troublesome. Even after Ayane give he the win, she's still left unsatisfied.

I  only have one thought about this: I want to go home now.

The vampire starts, "Human, do something for me."

"I thought you wanted to help me."

"No, it's your job to clean the palace, at least until my maid came."

Did she just call this room a palace?

Wheeze escapes from my soul, "All right, what do you want?"

  "Give me something to do."

… Seriously?

  She nods.

"Isn't that… just basically means you wanted to help?"

"Whaaatt? No. I want you to help me be better than that rameny girl. Just like what you did to her, give me some of them, too."

I don't like the way she says, 'just like what you did to her.'

And also, what's with the request? I swear she has the most bizarre request anything will ever say. I picked the right name for her today. It's not even a preference or a character anymore. She just challenges everything as if it's in her DNA or something.

I want to say she could help me by just sitting still, but knowing the vampire, she wouldn't be satisfied with that.

The vampire frowns more and more each second. I say nothing.

"You can…" I glance around the room. Look at this room yourselves. I've done everything. There's like nothing else you can do to help. I just wished you two offered this earlier.

Remelia is clenching her fist. "Are you saying I'm worthless?" She mumbles. Her face darkens.

Sigh, I have to find something to give her; I guess.

"I—I guess you can…" I grab the first thing I see. The sweep besides me. I just give it to her, "hold this."

A doubt on Remelia's face, as her head flinches back slightly, "How's this more important than whatever she's doing now?" Her eyes glance at Ayane pulling out and putting the book in its place… there's no literally a change.

I just came up with a lie:

"You might now know this because you just woke up from your centuries' slumber, but in today's world, holding the sweeper while a person is cleaning the floor is the most honourable things to do."

The vampire smiles, "Is that sooo… What are humans up to these days? What are funny propaganda! I like it."

Remelia grabs the sweeper as hard as a vampire can… Woah, woah, not too hard. First, that's unnecessary. And second, that's not ours. The Black Book Dragon is going to bite my ass if you break it in two. That's her children, for god's sake.

"What's with the terrified expression? I'll be holding this!" As if scared I'm going to take it back (which indeed I was thinking), she pulls the sweeper away from me. "You clean the floor. Let me show you how to keep an honour."

I smile wryly. I just hope in the future she doesn't find out about this. That whatever she's doing is not even close to the word amazing. But then again, she's not going anywhere. She's staying in this clubroom. And the information about the world now is besides the door, which she will never ever cross. So I guess I'm safe for now.

We'll begin cleaning the clubroom in silence.

While holding the sweeper tightly, the vampire is smirking at Ayane.

Ayane just thinks of her as a crazier person.

I just continue mopping the floor.

Something big is coming up umu. Please be patience with me and this draggy story. THANKS!
