Episode 12

" Wake up, Leni!" Rufus's voice echoed angrily. Leanor kept her eyes shut, furrowing her brows, with sweat trickling down her forepart and her nose bleeding.

Concerned, Rufus, who was beside her, looked at her hardly.

Without wasting a moment, Rufus dipped her up in his arms, carrying her in a bridal style, and precipitously rushed to the Academy clinic.

By the time they reached the clinic room, Leanor had formerly been admitted, leaving Rufus standing outside the door, panting heavily.

Violet noticed Rufus and precipitously approached him, questioning," Rufus, I did not know you attended this academy too." She also glanced towards the clinic room and put on a concern look as she asked," What happed?"

Rufus glanced at her, shaking his head, and replied," It's nothing."

" Do not lie to me, Rufus. I saw you bring her in. She was bleeding." Violet persisted.

" It's none of your business, wimp! You better stay away from Leanor in the future, or you will not like what you see," Rufus said, his tone filled with warning.

After his stern words, Rufus turned and walked away.

" Rufus! Rufus!" Violet called out, chasing after him.

Ignoring her, Rufus continued walking out of the medical center.

Realizing that Rufus was not going to stop or hear to her, Violet halted her pursuit, pursing her lips at Rufus's retreating figure, and murmured, " Rufus Carter, run if you want. I'll not let you be with anyone else if not me," clinging her hand in determination.

When Leanor eventually wake up, it was formerly the following morning.

She sluggishly opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings and the information being conveyed to her.

The faceless bed and clean walls indicated that she was in a medical center, not her hostel. Her roommate was asleep on the near loveseat.

The morning sun streamed warmly through the window, and Leanor turned her eyes towards it.

moment, the sun sounded exceptionally bright and warm.

As she recalled what had happened, she could not help but furrow her brows. What a strange dream! Or was it even a dream? It felt so real.

There was nothing further frustrating than being left clueless in such a situation.

Leanor turned her head and peered at Alice with a warm smile. She felt a sense of joy knowing that she still had such a good friend by her side, and it warmed her heart.

As Leanor tried to stand up from the bed, her hand accidentally knocked over a mug that was placed on a small table close to her bed.

incontinently, Alice woke up and precipitously rushed to the bedside.

In a nervous tone, she picked up the mug and blatted, "Do not move! How do you feel upon waking up?"

Leanor smiled and responded," I feel fine, just a bit weak. By the way, how did I end up then?"

Upon hearing this question, Alice's energy sounded to launch, and her drowsy eyes widened significantly.

" I heard that a veritably handsome young man by name Rufus brought you here. You never mentioned that Rufus was attending this Academe," Alice half- smirk.

" Is it him? I really should thank him.."

As Leanor pondered this, a smile unconsciously formed on her face.

" I knew it!" Alice blatted, incontinently grasping Leanor's hand and displaying a confident smile." You still have feelings for him."

" What? No! I do not have feelings for him. His father is my mum's new boyfriend."

" So what? Rufus is still interested in you, and he is incredibly, so incredibly handsome," Alice said with a craving expression.

"well, I would say you have a crush on him," If I did not know any better."

Suddenly, Raina's voice fitted , causing Alice to startle.

Raina approached Alice and deeply kissed her.

Leanor observed her two friends and felt an inviting sense of comfort. maybe it was because they never left her side, no matter the circumstances. It was a reason to be happy, and she could not repel the appetite to smile.
