Chapter four

Dallas and the Delta come in with my things that my mother packed for me. They both look at me and I can see families between them. Like they were family. "This is the Delta and my cosine William", Dallas says and I nod to William. "Nice to meet you William", I say. William smiles at me and then nods. "Good to meet you Luna", he says. I get sad, but don't show it. "Call me Lea", I say and then he smiles again. "I will then", He says. "If I may ask, why don't you share room with the Alpha?", he asks. "The alfa doesn't want to share a room. He wants to have it for himself and his lover", I say without thinking. William and Dallas both looks choked. "Wait what?", William says, "Isn't you guys soul mates? You love each other and can´t give your hearts to others", he says. I shake my head slowly. "The goddess chose this, but that's it", I say. I know I could make chaos in this pack. "He can´t reject me as an alfa, so he only needs me to make pups", I say. "That is awful". He looks me right in the eyes. "You know, that you can reject him too", he whispers. "Her family would kill her", Dallas says, "Her father is the Beta from the Silver moon pack". "Well fuck that. We can´t let Lea be a prisoner in her own home", William says. I am surprised. William doesn't even know me but still react this way. "If it was my mate, I wouldn't act like this", he says. "I don't love him", I say and he looks surprised. "There was no butterflies or fireworks. My wolf was happy, but I didn´t feel anything towards him", I say. "But how can the goddess do this if she knew, that you wouldn't love each other", he ask. I don't know the answer. "He wants us to go through the mating ceremony next week". I look down. This wasn't what I asked for. "Next week? Why is he rushing it?", William asks. "Because as soon as its done as soon he can do his own things", Dallas says. He is angry and mad. "He can´t force himself on you, Lea", he says. "Not even an Alpha can do that". "I have a duty", I say with a little voice, "Fuck that duty, Lea. You need to understand, that you don't have to do things, you don't want to", William says, "Reject him". I could see, that William was dead serious. "But", I say, but both look down on me. "Where can I go", I ask, "My own family wouldn't want me back and no pack would want me". The thoughts in my head were so sad. "We will find something out, Lea", William says and I smile. "I have a week.", I say and both of them nod. "We will find out, what to do", Dallas says.

The week was slowly coming to an end and we still haven't come up with anything. The only thing was, that I could reject Callan, but I haven't seen him all week. He was gone and would first come back the day of the ceremony. My friend told me about her ceremony 2 years ago. She said it was a little painful, but also beautiful and magical. I knew, that I wouldn't have much time before Callan got back to the time of the ceremony and even if I had a duty, then I wouldn't go through with it. I would reject him and run off. Disguise myself and hide my scent. Live among the humans and hopefully not getting caught.
