My Son-in-law Is A Doctor

At Hayden Airport, a single airplane ended a smooth flight, touching down on a runway.

The passengers slowly walked out of the cabin.

The last passenger was a young man.

His back was firm and upright, and he looked strong. The suit complemented his already dashing looks.

"Thank you for taking the flight!"

The air-stewardess stretched out her hand to shake hands with the young man.

The young man glanced at the air-stewardess. He nodded and stretched out his hand. 

After their hands parted, the young man realized that there was a small piece of paper in his hand.

"See you again."

The air-stewardess smiled gently before returning to the cabin.

The young man unfolded the piece of paper and read it.

Her phone number and name were stated on it.

He shook his head and smiled ruefully while throwing the piece of paper into a dustbin.

Who was he? His name was Jack Ferrell. 

Perhaps not many people were aware of his name.

He did, however, have another name that was well-known around the world.

He was also known as Azure!

A name that was feared by his enemies.

A name that had gained the respect and admiration of his nation.

He was the youngest commander in Yvnola.

He was the world's most famous doctor.

He had reached the pinnacle of power.

He possessed superior medical skills.

He was invincible.

The combination of these three traits made him the youngest marshal of Yvnola, Azure!

After Jack walked out of the airport, he went up to a black MPV. A tanned, strong man got out of the car.

"Marshal!"

"Bosco, how many times do I have to repeat myself? You can either call me Jacky or Jack, but Marshal?

Jack was helpless. He preferred to keep a low profile.

"Noted, Jack."

Bosco gave a cheeky smile and put Jack's luggage in the trunk.

After they got into the car, he started the car engine.

"How's the progress regarding the case which I've set you on?" Jack asked.

"I found something. The girl who saved you back then is called Lily Young, and she's now…"

"How is she now?!"

Jack's expression turned cold.

"After she knocked you out of the way, she was hit by the car. The impact broke her spine. She's paralyzed from the waist down. She has been in a wheelchair all these years."

"Darn it!"

Jack clenched his fist and his expression darkened.

He exuded an icy cold murderous intent. It almost became suffocating to be in the car with him.

Ten years ago, the Ferrell family had been the most powerful family in Yvnola. With power came attention, both good and bad.

The fame eventually brought disaster down upon their necks. A scheme was plotted against the Ferrell family.

36 members of the Ferrell family were massacred.

Jack was the only one who narrowly escaped.

However, a car nearly ran him over as he fled.

Just when he thought he was going to die, a girl with a birthmark on her face rushed over to him.

She pushed her out of the way and saved him.

At that time, he was only 17 years old, and a group of assassins was hard on his tail. The fear had placed him in a tunnel vision and he did not have the luxury to take notice of anything else.

Out of desperation and almost on autopilot, he jumped into a raging river.

Later, he was stranded in Eastern Region and became a soldier. 

He went from being a decent soldier to becoming a marshal with the nickname Azure within a decade.

He was 27 years old this year and at the peak of his career. However, he chose to retire.

This was because he wanted to repay Lily's kindness and avenge his family!

He swore to repay her kindness and avenge his family!

"Jack, Lily's details are placed right beside you," Bosco said. 

"Phew…"

Jack drew in a deep breath and took the folder placed next to him.

Jack's hands trembled as he read Lily's information.

Ten years ago, Lily was 17 years old, the same age as Jack.

The Young family was inferior to the four greatest families in Yvnola. But, they were also considered a prominent family in their own right.

Unfortunately, Lily was born with a birthmark on her face. As a result, she was looked down by others, and was even known as the ugliest lady in Yvnola.

Her situation worsened after she became paralyzed because of the car accident.

Her friends despised her. Even her family members looked down on her.

Because of her, her parents were treated unfairly in the Young family.

All of this was related to Jack.

"Lily, I'll spend the rest of my life repaying your kindness."

Jack clenched his fists and swore to himself.

"Jack, there's one more thing."

"Tell me."

"Tomorrow is the day the Young family recruits a husband for Lily. No man is willing to take her as his wife due to the fact that she's an ugly cripple. Because of this, the Young family has become a laughing stock. Therefore, the family head, Billy Young, is very anxious and decided to find a husband for her through this means.

"At the very least, the Young family is also considered a prominent family. Therefore, some men would still be willing to surrender their last name despite Lily being a paralyzed and ugly lady."

Bosco was right.

A man's reputation would be reflected negatively when he took his wife's last name. However, if he married a woman from a wealthy and prominent family, it would undoubtedly be a good opportunity for him to rise by leaps and bounds.

Today was the day the Young family recruited a husband for Lily. A banquet was to be held in Eloha Hotel. Many guests from the business arena in Yvnola attended the banquet to celebrate the occasion.

Instead of celebrating the occasion and congratulating the Young family, they were actually there to watch the family make a fool of themselves.

They were curious to find out the trash who was willing to give up his last name and become the husband of Yvnola's ugliest lady.

Jack attended the banquet.

He fixed his gaze at the woman in the wheelchair on the stage.

The woman was veiled, and her face was obscured.

Even so, he remembered her eyes.

At that moment, Jack recalled the name of the girl who had charged at him and saved his life at the cost of her own.

'That's right. It's her!

'It's Lily Young!'

"The Young family's son-in-law is… Jack Ferrell!" The head of the Young family, Billy announced loudly.

Upon hearing the announcement, Jack immediately walked up to the stage.

Lily looked complicated when she saw Jack walk up to the stage. 'So, is this the man who would be with me for the rest of my life?'

Despite feeling reluctant, she had no choice.

She was known as an ugly lady ever since she was born.

She became paralyzed after saving someone from a car accident.

From there on, she knew that her life was over. 

"Congratulations, Jack! You have to take good care of my younger sister in the future. She is at least a woman despite the fact that her looks are barely tolerable and her lower half doesn't work." Andrew Young went up to Jack and patted his shoulders while laughing mockingly before he left.

Jack, on the other hand, ignored him. At that moment, he only had his eyes on Lily.

He went up to Lily and knelt down on one knee.

He then took out a ring and put it on her ring finger. 

He took her soft hands into his. "From now on, I'll protect you. I'll make you the happiest woman in this world."

Jack looked into Lily's eyes earnestly.

Meanwhile, Lily was already dumbfounded the moment Jack put the ring on her finger.

She looked at Jack, who was staring at her earnestly. At that moment, all the sights and sounds around her vanished. All she had in her sight was this earnest but gentle young man.

"Come, I'll take you away from here."

Jack smiled gently at her. His smile was as warm as the winter sun.

Lily's face flushed. She nodded and spoke softly, "Okay."

Jack ignored the rest. He did not even bother to look at them.

He pushed Lily's wheelchair and left the banquet hall.

Bosco was already waiting for them outside. When Jack pushed Lily in her wheelchair out, he immediately opened the car door. 

"Go to Hilton Villa!"

The first thing that Jack wanted to do was to cure Lily.
