A New Sheriff In Town

"Die then," Mark suddenly turned around and moved his large foot towards Aroon's little body. This hit came so sudden and so fast that even Cheryl gasped in panic.

"Watch out!" she screamed in despair with a faint trace of tears over her face.

But Aroon didn't see this hit as a threat to him at all.

'So my power is slightly higher than grade three, might even reach grade four,' he was thinking, analyzing the two punches he just exchanged with Mark with a cool head.

Even while facing Mark, he refrained from using his full power. He simply used almost seventy percent of it, and he was amazed to see the result.

"Just stop it!" Cheryl screamed again with rapid breaths while fearing for the worse.

"So slow," Aroon slowly muttered just before Mark's foot reached him.

"Got you!" Mark said in delight and amusement, "you are a fool who got himself high on steroids or some kind of sh*t! Don't blame me for your death, you asked for it."

"Who said anything about me dying?" Yet the calm sound of Aroon came from his back, startling him, shocking everyone else around.

"What? How?" Mark turned with a shocked expression over his face but he was slightly late.

Aroon used his speed to evade the hit. Mark only hit the afterimage of him, and his eyes did the rest of the trick and let him wrongly imagine hitting Aroon.

"Boom!" Yet before Mark could turn to spot Aroon clearly, a kick landed on his face while Aroon was extending his leg to the fullest.

"Boom!" Mark's huge body was sent to fly a couple of meters, creating a terrifying and shocking scene to everyone here.

Then his body slammed heavily on the metallic table Aroon kicked from before; his own table.

"Wow!"

"How can this be?!!"

"Boss, do you need help?"

Whispers and some shocking exclamations rang all over the place. Even some fools thought highly of themselves and tried to step in.

"Stand down," Aroon calmly said while gazing in a threatening way towards the fools. "Or else I won't guarantee anyone else's safety."

"Cough," Mark coughed while trying to stand up. "I'll kill you for that," he said in a weaker tone, a tone none of the fallens here ever heard before.

"Stubborn aren't you?" Aroon asked before suddenly moving fast. He got tired of playing with him. Mark was all about muscles, and he even failed to pose a threat towards Aroon in his turf.

"Gather up," Mark screamed in alarm, "let's get him down together…"

However before he could even continue his words, Aroon appeared midair, jumping high enough to be above his head.

"Just give up," Aroon simply stated the obvious before he slammed violently with his left leg over Mark's big head. "You aren't a worthy opponent."

"Boom!"

This time Mark's body didn't fly in the air and simply fell so heavily on the ground. His head hit the ground, bounced off while leaving a deep hole behind.

Everyone standing there could feel the shock of this hit, and Aroon landed with ease just a few meters beside Mark's motionless body.

And he even jumped around in light steps like he was just warming up.

Mark's body started to shrink back to show his normal human form. He was now unconscious, and Aroon simply moved his gaze around.

"Anyone else?" he said it like he was inviting them to dinner or something. "Anyone want to prove anything to his pathetic self?" he said in a strong tone but got nothing back except silence.

"That's what I thought," he said before pointing to Mark, "from now on Mark isn't the leader here. There is a new sheriff in town and you should all not forget that."

He didn't stand there any longer while heading towards the stairs. In front of him two messages kept flashing. They were of his system and he simply chose to ignore them until now.

<Ding! You got in contact with one ability, the giant ability>

<Ding! You can't learn this ability for now, but it will be stored inside the library you to later>

"Humph," Aroon muttered in low tone while slowly ascending the stairs.

"Not satisfied even after taking Mark down… Tsk, you are really something."

Just as he was absorbed in the two abilities he got into his locked library, this familiar voice came from his side, startling him.

"Oh Cheryl… Are you going to sleep as well?"

The first thing he spotted about her was her golden yellow hair. She seemed a little shocked like others, but in a good way and he could tell that from her eyes.

And he could see faint traces of tears she wept for him during the fight. And somehow he felt some warmth deep down his soul.

She looked happy with what he did, and that was another thing he appreciated about her.

"I… will take the room next to you," she seemed hesitant for a moment there.

"You just decided to come along," he said with a smile over his face.

"Who won't come to stay with you, Mr. new sheriff."

She winked and he couldn't help but smile wider, showing off his teeth.

"Do you mind me accompanying you?" she said as if she was trying to get to know his inner thoughts about her.

"Not at all," he simply said before turning to glance at the faces down below. Everyone was now gazing at him like they were seeing a living monster.

"Don't blame them," she said with a chuckle, "after all what you did there was… Mind blowing!"

He couldn't help but laugh and she continued, "How did you do it?"

"I… Was just lucky."

"I can't even move at such speed."

She hit him with her elbow while leaning slightly over. "If you don't want to say it then you can tell me later on."

"I'm not lying," he tried to act innocent, but she didn't buy his act.
