My Siren(BL)

What happens when myth meets reality? On the night of his father's grand Hotel opening, Aiden had gone out to the sea with his friends to escape the noisy crowd in the hotel that disturbed his peace. Out on the sea and out of boredom, he had decided to try out something he had never done all his life: fishing. In the middle of the night... along the offshore zone of the sea, the fishing net was casted into the sea. When something tugged at the net, his friends quickly pulled it up and into the boat before it could escape back into the ocean With a sense of achievement, they looked at the net to see what they had caught and to their suprise... ----- Aiden walked up to kai who laid motionless on the cold floor after being pulled out of his tank by his tail. His wet golden coloured hair sprawled and stuck to his pale white skin as the water droplets trickled down to the ground. Aided squatted in front of him and gently pushed back the loose strands of wet hair that shielded his face. Holding onto kai's chin, he tilted his head up so he could look back at him. Upon seeing the hateful gaze of the young merman directed at him, a sly grin appeared on his face "Let me go." Kai said through gritted teeth causing Aidens smile to broaden. Caressing his cheeks softly, he leaned closer to the dripping man and whispered softly into his ears in a deep dulcet voice "No-" [Readers discretion is strongly advised]

I won't leave.

Once Kai had started shedding tears, it was hard for him to stop them from flowing, and he had lost all his strength from it.

He sat on the foot of the bed, tears still streaming down his cheeks. Aiden had gone to the bathroom to prepare a bath for him and soon returned to the room with a bath robe in his hand.

"The water's ready." He informed, but Kai still remained silent, staring at nothing in particular. Aiden cursed himself internally, seeing him like this. He gingerly walked up to where he sat and crouched down in front of him.

"Your eyes are already so swollen..." he wiped Kai's stained cheek with his thumb and carefully caressed his swollen lids. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up. I'm sure you're tired."

He took off the sweat shirt and pants Kai had on and wrapped the robe around him.

Since Kai wasn't making any move or efforts to get up, Aiden lifted him from the bed into his arms and strode to the bathroom. He gently placed Kai into the bath tub filled with warm water, making sure the merman was okay.

"Is the water okay?" He questioned, and Kai nodded, his eyes focused on his wrists this time.

The young master went on to grab a bathing sponge from the side of the tub to bathe the merman. He made the sponge wet and gently scrubbed it on Kai's skin.

Aiden knew he wasn't supposed to feel this way, but a sense of satisfaction washed over him when he scrubbed past the reddened spots on Kai's neck to his shoulder where he had suckled on... he was the one who gave it to him... it kept ringing in his head and it made him smile. He did feel bad for behaving like that with his significant other, but he blamed it entirely on the whisky he drank,

"Is there anything you wanna eat later on?" He asked again, and Kai shook his head.

Soon, he was done with bathing Kai and assisted him in wearing his pyjamas. Aiden sat him down on the chair by the dressing table and took a small towel to dry his hair.

Kai had managed to stop crying and was much calmer now but still had a distant look in his swollen eyes. His wrist stung, and he carefully rubbed the spot, trying to soothe it. Aiden, who stood behind him, saw this and was quick to reach for the chest of drawers and pulled out a small balm.

"Here, I'll apply some ointment on it."

He knelt in front of kai, took his hand in his, and spread the product on his wrist, applying a little pressure on it to ease the pain. Kai hissed and almost withdrew his hand, but Aiden held onto it.

"Sorry." Aiden said and placed a kiss on the back of his hand.

This was totally different from how the young master had behaved less than an hour ago. Kai felt scared in that moment... it was the first time he had seen Aiden act that way. Did he really do something so bad by going against him?

"There, it's all done." Aidens voice brought him back to reality. Still kneeling in front of Kai, he slid his arms around his waist and rested his head on his thighs.

"Please don't hate me, Kai... I'm really sorry, I was drunk. So please don't run away." He pleaded.

Kai bit his lower lip. It wasn't fair... how was he supposed to be angry when Aiden was being all clingy. What he said earlier about being anxious still played in his head, so playing this card wasn't at all fair.

He was being too easy, and he knew it, but he couldn't bring himself to remain rigid in this situation.

He heaved a sigh and stroked Aidens' head on his thigh, showing his acceptance. Aiden smiled and snuggled into the merman's touch like a puppy.

"Aiden?" Kai called,

"Hmm?"

"How did you know I could get pregnant?" Aiden flinched upon hearing this. He rose his head and stared up at Kai for a moment as if trying to study his expression

"Lilith told me." He replied casually.

"She told me you could still get pregnant even in your human form."

All that talk with Aiden about getting married. Honestly kai didn't think he would be fertile even in his human form but as the last month passed and he finally hit his fertile window and felt the hormonal changes that allowed bonding and mating, he was sure he could still get pregnant. The symptoms weren't severe, like when he was in his true form, so it was easy to hide.

"Oh." Kai didn't have a response to this and merely just cleared his throat.

"Why did you drink?"

"I originally wanted to rest, but then you weren't answering my calls, so I got a little frustrated." He hung his head low as he said this. Kai didn't want to get an earful, which was why he didn't want to answer the call earlier, so perhaps he was a bit at fault, too.

"Sorry for not answering."

"It's okay, we're even."

Kai unconsciously glanced towards the window where he always stood and noticed a flower pot filled with red roses and his eyes brightened... he didn't remember there being a flower pot there especially with roses... it looked really pretty.

Aiden followed his line of sight and saw he was focused on the roses,

"I got them for you this morning. The chocolates are in the refrigerator."

"Chocolates?" Kai beamed, and Aiden smiled... that was one way to get him.

"You'll eat them tomorrow. It's already too late for sweets."

Tomorrow... Kai suddenly remembered what had caused the small burst of anger from Aiden. Not withstanding, he still needed to get to the cafe tomorrow.

"Aiden, I'm still going to work no matter what you say. I'm not running away. I'm just getting a job. "

How stubborn.

"Ehhhh... it can't be helped then. You can keep your job." He whined and rested his head on Kai's thighs once more.

"I'm free for the next two days so I can go watch you work."

"Really? You'll come? " Kai beamed and Aiden shrugged,

"Yeah. Why not."

"That's great! Aunt Lyn wants to meet you, too. I can't wait!" He was quite enthusiastic about it

"Who's aunt Lyn?"

"Oh, she's the cafe owner. She's really nice, and her desserts taste great. I learnt how to make some today."

"Then you can show me your cooking skills tomorrow morning... come on, let's go to bed."

"Aren't you going to take a shower too?"

"Oh, I already did."

Aiden stood up and offered Kai a hand and assisted him to his feet. In the end, Kai didn't get to use the art of seduction he learnt. How sad...

They got under the blanket and switched off the light. Aiden scooted closer to the merman and wrapped his arms around his waist, burying his head in his neck,

"I sobered up really fast now my head hurts." He muttered, and Kai smiled.

"It won't hurt when you fall asleep."

"Mmh," Aiden nodded.

Every atom of sleep had escaped Kai ever since earlier, so now he just laid on the bed staring at the opposite wall in the darkness of the room. After some minutes, he decided to speak up.

"Are you still awake, Aiden?"

"You can't sleep?"

"Not really."

"Just close your eyes... it'll come on its own."

Kai obeyed and closed his lids. It seemed to work until a question popped up in his head, and he fluttered his eyes open.

"You know... yesterday, Jenny asked me a question. I know it's silly of me, but I'm a little bit curious."

"What is it?"

"She asked me what I'd do if you ever left me."

Hearing this, Aiden opened his eyes.

"Then what did you say?"

"Well... I told her you weren't going to, so there's no need to think about it."

He turned to face Aiden on the bed and gently stroked his cheek

"Did I answer, right?" A smile crept on the young masters face, and he leaned forward and planted a tender kiss on Kais forehead

"Of course, I won't leave you."
