Chapter 37 - Mimi’s Plan of action
By midday, Mimi WuXain had arrived at Dominic's home uninvited. On arrival, she was meet by Dominic's servants, who had escorted her to the guest dinning area. When Dominic's butler was made aware of the fact, he tried earnestly to refuse the young lady. "Miss WuXain, unfortunately Master Dominic isn't seeing any guest at present, would you be so kind as to rearrange for another day?" The butler keenly asked.
Today, Mimi had a plan to see through and was determined to make that happen, she put on her sweeties voice and acted as if she was going to cry "please I just want to see him, I tried to arrange a lunch date with him some time ago, but that never happened, and then I saw him on the News, I just wanted to see if he's okay, I promise", she timidly spoke.
The butler sighed they had all witnessed the changes that Master Dominic has been going through, and practically the entire servant staff has been actively avoiding Master Dominic, which he believes has made the matter worst. Maybe having someone show Master Dominic some kindness might calm his temper, but is Miss WuXain the right person for that job.
"Okay Miss WuXain I will inform master Dominic of your arrival" he said with reservations.
Dominic was still in his private room with Dr Cheng when his butler telephoned through, "good day master Dominic, sorry to disturb you but a Miss WuXain is here to see you, she's currently in the guest dinning area" informed the butler.
Dominic eyes turned red, and he instantly roared at the butler "throw her out this house this instance"
Instantly doctor Cheng took the phone from Dominic's hand and politely spoke with the butler, "sorry it's Dr Cheng, can you tell me what's happening? Okay, we'll be up shortly", he then hung up the phone and turn to Dominic, "we can't keep going like this, you need help, have lunch with her, you may find you even like her" he said sympathetically.
"I didn't like her before, what makes you think I am going to like her now" Dominic retaliated scornfully.
Dr Cheng laughed and mockingly said to Dominic, "Traffic light, when was the last time you even liked anyone?" He asked merely mocking words, not really expecting any truth behind them. But to his dismay, within moments he saw Dominic's yes changed back to its neutral hazel brown, and his face blushed as if what Dr Cheng said had awoken a memory.
Dr Cheng was shocked stupid, if this person he cared about could calm him down this quickly by mere thought, image what impact they would have physically. Dr Cheng wondered why hadn't Dominic mentioned them before or done anything. "It's true you have someone you care about? Who is it" Dr Cheng asked inquisitively, his eyes beaming. If he could get Dominic to interact with this person, they would make a great study on how one's mating and emotions are linked to the stability of the alpha X gene.
However, to his disappointment, Dominic refused to answer and had begun walking out the room with a very curious Doctor Cheng trailing behind him, refusing to drop the topic. "Dominic, is it someone I know? What family are from...wh.." Dr Cheng suddenly stopped in his tracks has Dominic had abruptly turned to face him, almost causing their bodies to collide, his eyes had begun to change into a yellowish colour. Dominic sneered at Dr Cheng under a Low breath, "WILL YOU SHUT UP".
And as though nothing had happened Dominic continued on his way, leaving Dr Cheng Aloofly in a frozen daze wondering if he had just seen Dominic embarrassed side, the thought couldn't have been more amusing. "Looks like our little traffic light is truly smitten" he chuckled under his breath.
Meanwhile, in the dinning area, Mimi sat patiently waiting for Dominic to arrive. Moments later the doors opened and in walks a very familiar maid carrying a tray of light refreshments for the table, she stopped close to Mimi and bowed her head slightly before directly pouring her a glass of wine. When Mimi had gone to pick her glass she purposely allowed the drink to spill on herself, "oh no my dressed what have you done, this is my favourite", Mimi exclaimed while trying to use a handkerchief to clean herself.
The maid panicked and quickly began assisting Mimi to clean up her mistake, with trembling hands she apologised profusely, "am... very sorry Miss WuXain, please forgive" she repeated again and again through teary ears, while internally cursing Mimi in her mind.
Mimi smiled then suddenly grabbed the hands of the maid, startling her, in a gentle manner she began to comfort the young girl. "It's okay, you can make up to me, right?" she asked with a deceitful smile. Whilst continuing to hold the maid's hands, she took the opportunity to slip a small vial into the palms of her hand. The maid immediately recognised this, and a devious smile was shared between the two. "Yes ma'am I will make it up to you, it was my mistake after all," with that the maid discreetly slipped the vial into her pocket then quickly departed from the room.
Mimi smiled contentedly, today Dominic will be hers, and she vowed to use whatever means to get him.
