Chapter 36 The battle

Blaze and his army crossed the border at the crack of dawn. They were all transformed into wolves and trotted on all fours towards the rogue pack. They trotted rhythmically in sync. They looked ferocious, eyes focused ahead, ears perked up. It was beautiful yet terrifying to behold, enough to make even the most powerful and well-trained wolf armies cower in front of them.

The first rays of the sun were insufficient to eliminate the gloom in the dense woods. The morning stars glistened like diamonds. The air was fresh and cold, with a musky aroma of the woods. The wind blew through the huge trees, causing the branches and leaves to sway. The quietness of the night was broken by the birdsong. Looking around, it didn't look like the peace would last long.
