New girlfriend

Warm sunrays rubbed the face of the sleeping girl on the bed. Her chairs scattered over her face and a blessed smile in her face. It feels so good to sleep in her room at her home. Anna yawned and stretched in the bed. She has no mood to wake up. She would just laze around. Snuggling on the pillow she smiled.

Ah, this is the life she desired. Her groggy mind when cleared a bit, she came to realise she is forgetting about the girl sleeping on the bed last night. How did she end up here and where is she?

All the sleep and laziness went out of the window and she sat on the bed with a jerk. Her eyes snapped open and she looked around. The room was empty. She stood up, her leg got stuck in her blanket. She kicked it from her leg, making it fall on the floor.

She ran to the bathroom, and shouted, "Bella are you in?" She waited for a minute or two but got no reply. So hesitatingly she opened the door but the bathroom was empty.

She decided to go out but the moment she touched the doorknob, the door opened and hit her head. "Aawww" she glared at her brother who was blinking at her.

"Sorry Anna, but why we're you standing on the door" he questioned rubbing her forehead.

"I was about to open it, why we're you in a rush to come in?" She asked back.

"Oh, I wanted to use the bathroom. but I think I had to wait." He replied looking around. Man a single bathroom is going to create a problem.

"Why," her sister asked finally taking her hand back from the head.

He blinked at her foolish question. "As she is in there." He replied in an obvious tone.

"Huh, Bella is not out there?" She asked confused. When she didn't find her in the room. She thought she would be out in the kitchen.

"No, wasn't she sleeping here with you. Last night when I came back. The room's light was off. So I thought you both slept. That's why I didn't disturb you." He said walking towards the bathroom. And just like her hesitated.

Although Anna told him that she isn't in there but he still got a glimpse of last time in his memories. That stupid girl never closes the door. What if he sees her in that way again. He closed his eyes at the thought. And took his hand back.

Taking to a deep breath to give courage to himself he opened the door with a jerk .but it was empty like she said. "Uh, I will come in a minute. Why don't you look around" with that he closed the door?

'What does he mean my look around.' She tapped her foot on the floor in annoyance and shouted: "Brother do you think we live in a palace that people got lost there?"

He came out and ruffled her hairs. She glared at him and tried to set them back smacking his hands. "Did you see her going out?" She finally asked

"I didn't think so. If she would have come out, I would have seen her." He said scratching his head. "but I just woke up 15 minutes ago"

"Then come let's check at Mike house," said Anna. "Maybe we both were sleeping so she went there."

Alex nodded and followed her sister out. But just when they came out and opening the main door. The door of the room opened with a noise.

Hearing the sound of the door they both looked back and found the girl standing there blinking her eyes.

They both stood there for a moment surprised. They sure have checked the room and bathroom and they have won't have walk-in closet where she could be.

Anna broke the silence by asking, "where were you?"

They both walked towards her and Anna circled around her. Bella felt strange about her actions. "I was in the room" she lied, but she can't tell them the truth.

" But we didn't see you there." Asked Alex this time.

"I was sitting in the balcony and dozed off " she replied the best she could think.

Alex nodded and Anna glared at her "you shouldn't do that, it's too cold out there. You were already sick. What if your condition gets worse." Although she was glaring at her but the concern was clear in her voice.

"I won't do it again," said Bella blinking at the girl.

Anna nodded and Alex moved to sit lazily on the sofa. It has been ages that he got so many holidays. He is going to sit here like a log.

Anna too sat on the side as her worry subsided. "Brother what are you going to cook for breakfast?" Asked Anna adjusting the cushion under her head.

Bella also copied them and sat in the middle, but her posture was straight.

"Uh, cheese sandwich why?" Asked Alex looking at the watch. It's just 8. He still has time to cook.

"It wouldn't take much time. What about the lunch" she asked again fluttering her eyes.

Alex eyed the girl who was making sweet face to him. It was clearly telling him 'I want something' look it is. "What do you want," he asked directly.

"Uh, nothing brother." She said looking at the floor and biting her lips.

"Just spill it, Anna." He said again.

"I. I had saved some money from the canteen bills. So. I was thinking can we go out to buy a new shirt for you. I don't know your size and preference." Her voice was getting low and low looking at the darkening face of her brother.

Her friends were right. She should have brought It by herself. It will be better to give him a surprise but they rarely buy clothes. So she wanted to give him something of his liking. What's with that look, like she had murdered someone.
