Chapter 143: Death Was Impossible With Me There

A bead of sweat trickled down Kate's forehead as she observed the pack of wolves, their numbers seeming to grow incessantly.

Even after battling for over twenty minutes, she had failed to subdue even half of them. Wolves continued to pour in from the surrounding woods. Her initial estimation of their numbers seemed to be completely wrong.

Judging by the rapidly evolving situation, she estimated there were at least a hundred wolves residing within these hills! The thought sent a chill racing down her spine.

An army of such caliber could easily overpower an average team of Martial Warriors, especially if led by the Alpha Wolf. But that wasn't the most terrifying realization Kate had come to.

"Why are these wolves so damn intelligent?" Kate cursed under her breath. She had tried to separate and pick them off one by one, but the pack of wolves seemed to have caught onto her tactics and was now making a conscious effort to stick together.
