"Sweetie, my sister will be arriving tomorrow, so do you still wish to see her?... You've been disturbing me about it for 5byears now and she's finally back so do you still want to see her?" I asked Thonia who was busy with her phone and immediately she heard it her eyes widened
"What! Really?... She's back? Oh my gosh... She's finally back and I'll be able to see her" Thonia said as she jumped on me and we both fell on the bed
"I... Really don't know why you are so happy about this... But all good, I'm happy you're happy" I said and she kissed me before standing up from the bed
"So when are we going to meet her?" She suddenly asked dropping her phone on the bed while I sat up
"Let's say tomorrow morning or afternoon... Or what do you think?" I said as I picked up my phone from the bed to message Goldie
"Okay... I'll prepare, I love you" she said as she smiled, picked up her phone and walked out of the room feeling so excited
"What's wrong with her?... Does she have a gift for my sister?" I kept asking myself until I got tired and slept off
Forte
"Hello Rica, WhatsUp? Why are you calling by this time?" I asked after picking the call
"The thing is that... Mom fell sick few days ago so I just took her to the hospital since the sickness was beyond my prediction... And now mom won't be able to attend dad's funeral" she said trying to withhold herself from crying
"C'mon sweetie... It's okay. I should be able to pay Mom hospital bills before next week... But make sure you guys attend dad's funeral" I said and she sighed
"Okay we will try... But what about your job interview? She suddenly asked and I exhaled
"Yeah... I'm done with the interview... I just left the company. I'm going to a cafe to get some coffee hoping to receive a call from them in few days" I replied her
"Okay... I hope you get a job" she said and I smiled
"Thanks a lot baby sis... So... How's work over there? I asked trying to while away time for myself
"Oh less I forget... Do you know Angella Morgan?" She asked with a serious tone and I became curious
"Yeah sure... She was my classmate in high school" I replied
"She's killing me over here... I never knew she's my boss daughter.... Right now, she's a threat to my job" Rica cried out and I couldn't help but laugh
"Just tolerate her until you get a better job... Okay?' I said and she laughed
"Can you do me a favour?" She asked with a sweet tone and i knew what that mean
"No I can't do anything for you ma'am" I replied sharply
"Can you please come to my workplace? I overheard her saying she had a crush on you when you guys where in high school and she can do anything for you... Please come and tell her that I'm your little sis and that she should stay away from me... Please brother" she said with a cute tone and i burst into laughter before hanging up on her
"How dare she try to use me... So annoying" I said as I entered the cafe
"Hello... Can I get one Americano and a light snacks?" I said immediately I got to the counter
"Okay sir" she replied me and after few seconds she handed me a cup of Americano and a doughnut
"That's $50 sir" she said and I brought out my credit card and handed it over to her. She slide it over the machine before giving me the card and my receipt. I took I and walked to an empty table to eat
"Hello sir... What can I offer you? I heard a girl voice from behind... I guess she's an attendant too
"I've been attended to" I said without looking back and she walked to my side and saw my snacks and coffee on my table
"Jane has attended to him Elsa" Another attendant said as she walked pass my table with some trash in her hand. The other "Elsa" attendant was about leaving when she paused and looked at me
"Hello excuse me... Are you Forte... Kim?... I mean Kim Forte?" I heard a voice and I looked up to see...
Elsa
What's Forte doing here? I need to hide... I don't want anybody to k own I work here or else I'll be reported to my adopted father. I escaped from home few years ago cause I was caged and tortured daily... I couldn't continue living like that, so I had to run for my life. In order to take care of myself, I applied for a job here as an attendant pending when I will be able to gather money to travel back to Korea. Just then I felt a tap on my hand and i jerk back to the present.
"Go and take that guy's order and stop this your thinking habit" My Boss said and i noddes as I stood up. I got to the centre of the Cafe but I couldn't figure out who she sent me to. I walked to Forte table since it was empty from behind. I stood behind him so he won't see my face
"Hello sir... What can I offer you" I said but he didn't reply for some seconds
"I've been attended to" He replied without looking back and I sighed in relief. I noticed my boss was staring at me with anger all over her face, so U walked to the side of the table but I hid my face so he won't see me
"Jane has attended to him Elsa" Berry said as she passed with trash. I was about walking away when I decided to say Hello, cause it looks like he doesn't recognise me
"Hello excuse me... Are you Forte... Kim?... I mean Kim Forte?" I heard a voice from behind me. I turned back to look and I saw...
"Thonia?!... What's she doing here?... Fuck, today's a bad day" I said I quickly run to the store to hide from both of them.
Thonia
I was supposed to travel after college but Mr Waylon stopped me from traveling because of Elsa. She escaped few weeks after our graduation and since then Mr Waylon has always refuse my travel request cause he wanted me to find her by all means. If I don't find Elsa and take her home, my family life will be at risk. After spending 10 hours trying to track Elsa, I got tired and decided to take a break so I drove to a nearby cafe to get some coffee.
"Mehn! What the fuck, darn it!" I shouted as I hit the steering wheel then came out of the car and entered the Cafe
"Huh? Isn't that Forte?" I said as soon as I sighted him sitting on a table alone. Wait... Kim and Elsa were best friends back then so I think he should have an idea of her whereabout" I muttered before walking to where he was
"Hello... Please excuse me... Are you Forte Kim?... I mean Kim Forte" I said and he looked away from his phone. He looked up and his eyes caught me
"Thonia? What are you doing here?... Wow see how big you've grown... How have you been and how's Jerome?" He asked and I chuckled
"Even if you refused to offer me a seat, I'll sit down" I said as I pulled out a seat opposite him and sat down
"Oh I'm sorry ... It skipped my mind" he said and I smiled. We chatted and laughed for a while before getting up and going home together. I drive him to his house before driving home.
Mr Lee
"Mr Ion, we are done with the interview and we've selected seven of them. We also have four interns this year" I said as I submitted a paper on his table
"Oh as for the interns, let them undergo some training from our outstanding employees" Mr Ion said and I nodded
"But sir... They are all major in marketing and reaserch sir... And our outstanding employees are Mr Jones and Mr Zack. They are both in medical department" I said and he looked at me
"We don't have any staff in M and R for now... Why then did you accept them?" He asked and I sighed
"The interviewees were once an inter in GDK Company but because of too much staff in their M and R department, the company refused to retain them as staff so they came here for interview. After the interview, they were selected. So I feel, since we have them as the new staff in M and R department, the interns can learn or train under them" I suggested
"How are you sure that they will be able to train the interns?... They've not even trained themselves well and you want them to train interns?" Mr Ion said and I itch my head for a while
" I believe they can do it sir... Out of the seven of them, I can vouch for three... Mr Kim, Miss Ann and Mr John. They are the best but just that Mr John is kind of a strict person" he looked at me and smiled
"Okay... I will leave it to you then, do whatever you wish but make sure you report it to the CEO once he calls for meeting" he said and I smiled and bowed before walking out of his office
"Okay... Let's see, I will pair Mr Kim with Miss Angella, then Miss Lily with Miss Ann... I can't pair Mr John with anybody or else I'll be receiving complains. Then the remaining two intern will be in medical department under Mr Ambrose and Mr Glee" I said as I wrap up my work before heading to my office.
Sam Hion
It's been 5 years since I left home and ever since I left I've been dreaming of how to come back home toeet Elsa. Although I promised Elsa that I'll be back after my high school but Mom forced me to stay there until after my College. Finally I'm home... I came down from the cab and quickly rushed into the house. I told grandma not tell Mom about my arrival... I want it to be a surprise to everyone, including Elsa. I decided to pass the back door when I noticed dad has a visitor and I didn't want anyone to see me yet except Elsa. I ran to Elsa's room and I knocked twice but there was so reply so I opened the door and entered
"She's not in?... If she's not in her room, then where is she?... She can't be at work by this time of the night... Or she has moved out?... Nah, dad didn't allow Lukas to move out even when he got a good paying job, so there's no way Mom will allow her live outside.... Or did they finally killed her?... Ha!" I exclaimed as I ran down stairs but when I hear a strange voice, I paused on the stairs
"We have to find Elsa or else we will loose the company... If they find out that Elsa is not in our custody we will definately lose the company" Mom panicked as she paced to and fro in the living room
"Mr Waylon said he has already assigned Thonia to look for her... I believe she will find Elsa, since they were best friends in high school" Dad said as he tried to comfort Mom
"I think Thonia and Elsa are friends, so why hasn't she been able to find Elsa... It's close to four years now" The strange voice said and I took a closer look at who it was... Huh? So the visitor was Lukas... I thought it was someone else. I hissed as tears rolled down my cheek. I couldn't hold it anymore so I ran down stairs to where they were
"Dad! Mom! Lukas! Where is Elsa?! Tell me... Where is she?... So you guys sent me away so you could kill her right?... Mom! Dad! I thought you were good people" I shouted as tears rolled down my cheek. Everyone was surprised seeing me. Mom fell to the ground in shock while Dad held her looking at me. Lukas stamped his fist on his palm as he turned his back at me
"Sweetheart calm down... You just came back and you need to rest" Dad said trying to talk me out of it but I refused as I walked to where he was with Mom
"Mom tell me... Where the hell did you keep Elsa!" I shouted and she bent her head
"Elsa is missing and we've not been able to find her" Lukas yelled and my heartbeat increased, just then it stopped and I found myself falling to the ground.
