Chapter 28 A beast againts bigger beast

I am covered in blood, either mine or wolf's ones, I have been fighting for I don't know how long, ripping wolves apart, slicing their head off, legs, and throats, sometimes even simply headbutting them to death, I am using every single skill I have to win this fight, I even climbed up a tree using parkour to give me a boost in my speed and hit on of the faster wolves.

I am only standing thanks to sheer willpower, the Rock Steady being at max level, and a lot of Pain Resistance, the sword in my hand is starting to feel heavy, my body is begging for rest, my eyes are covered in blood hoping to close any moment, my head hurts for the constant use of skills, rage, Holy Strike, and all the others activate skills consuming my stamina like sponges, recovery doing its best not to make me faint.

With one big swing, I pierce the head of the last wolf, the previously purple grass now completely dark red.

I remove the sword from the corpse and slowly move my head towards the last remaining wolf.

As tall as a room, his pelt as dark as a starless night, his teeth white like snow, eyes red like blood, standing there, menacingly.

As soon as he took a step towards me I popped out a health potion threw it inside my mouth and started chewing.

Did it hurt? Yes, it did, Did it save time? A lot, will it be a problem for the incoming fight? No.

After crushing the glass bottle with my hard teeth( also counts as bones) I pulverized it and the wounds created inside my mouth regenerated in less than a second thanks to the health potion, the Basic Self-Heal still, and the peak Human body regeneration.

In just 5 seconds I was back in top shape, just in time to evade the wolf claws aiming for my head.

While evading the hit I swung my sword aiming for the stomach of the wolf.

*CRACK

Right in front of me inside of the stone sword that I had been using until now a handle with half of a blade could be seen, the other half being on the ground.

I didn't have the time to mourn, the wolf lunged again towards me now aiming for my legs.

I reacted fast, I picked up the broken part on the ground and used it as a throwing knife, hitting the right front leg of the leg, making it stumble and change trajectory.

He fell on his stomach, giving me chance to get on top of him.

'YOU A FUCKING HARD SKIN, BUT ARE YOUR EYES LIKE THAT TOO?'

Like a frenzied beast I started piercing the eyes of the wolf with the broken sword, my hands hurting like never before, while my body was used as a ragdoll by the beast, trying to make me fall from its back, but thanks to Tear my hands became like a bear trap on a human leg.

The wolf slowly started losing more and more power, each strike becoming less painful, by the time it lost its strength on its legs I had already pierced his eyes at least a hundred times.

I didn't stop until I felt satisfied, scared that if I stopped and left his back he could simply attack again, a beast is scarier when at death's door than when at full capacity.

After a minute of constant stabbing, I released the broken sword and got off the wolf's back, waiting for my body to be able to move again.

" That surely was a show," Arthur said while getting down from the fake throne he had created above my head.

" Yeah, kinda fun not gonna lie, would have surely died if I didn't get that sword manual from you."

Everything around me turned dark, it already was dark but I could see trees, now I am in a world of pure darkness, no light, objects, or entities can be seen.

The only things in this world are me and me.

My head turned as fast as an arrow, by the body followed right behind.

In front of me above thousands of corpses lays the darkest wolf I had ever seen, if the one before represented night, this thing is void, its body being almost electrical but still filled with power, big as a building, teeth big as my arms, and claws long like my legs. ( mythologically correct, no bullshit of being muscular and that, dude was 24/7 hungry)

" Fenrir."

" Quite observant."

" Why am I here?"

" You killed my son."

... Shit.

A burning sensation spread, pain like anything I ever felt made me go numb, I wanted to scream but no voice came out, I wanted to run but I couldn't move, I wanted to fight but all my strength had disappeared.

But just like it came the pain disappeared in a second, and where Fenrir had touched me a single runish symbol could be seen.
