Chapter 9

Jace and Matthew sat on the bed, Jace's arms still wrapped around the sleeping brunette. The anxiety attack had worn Matthew out and Jace didn't want to wake him up so he just sat there, embracing Matthew.

Around an hour passed and Matthew finally woke up from his nap and he looked up at Jace's sleeping form. He blushed a light pink and tapped on the larger's shoulder, waking him up.

"Mhm.." Jace groaned softly, "Kitten, you woke up.."

It had been while since the larger had called him that and it made the brunette blush even more. Matthew turned around to face Jace, still lying in his arms.

This was the first time that he had observed Jace's face up close and he could notice every little detail about the black-haired boy's face. Jace had faint dark circles under his eyes and he was actually quite thin, Matthew had never really paid any attention to it but Jace's cheekbones were very prominent and his jawline was sharp.
