Chapter 10

In the end, Matthew was unable to find out why Jace had attended therapy in the past. Maybe it was for the best. What if Jace was a serial killer!? He wouldn't want to know about that if it was the case.

Anyways, Monday had come too soon for Matthew and he once again had to face Sophie at school. He saw her during homeroom but just like last week, she didn't talk to him at all. Luck wasn't on his side that day as he kept bumping into her in the halls or in class. What's worse was that both Alex and Zero weren't even at school and Jace was nowhere to be found.

Matthew didn't go to the cafeteria during lunch either. He instead went to the parking lot where he saw a few other students smoking in the corner. He kept a distance away from them and just minded his own business, occasionally glancing up at the group of noisy students.

The bell eventually sounded and Matthew headed back to class but was stopped by one of the students who were smoking.
