62 The real question

"Like you've mentioned before. Those two types of PP are related to each other but are not the same…" I slowly told Xiayen the few words that would lead to the real question that I was concerned about.

"So…" I continued. Because those two types of PP are related to each other, they also have a few similar traits that keeps themselves perfectly balanced whenever they're on their own. With the term perfectly balanced I mean the fact that women can still get to a certain level of physical strength, and man also to a certain level of mental strength.

"The power to do things without moving, is with I mean with mental strength, by the way…" I added, since I didn't know the correct term for "magical powers" in this world.

"Mhm. Go on... I understand what you're saying." Xiayen gestured for me to continue, while she wore her robe.

"Do you know why?" I didn't continue with my assumptions, and went straight for a question.

"It's simple, I believe. The reason why, is because it's the basic capabilities that we have since birth. We're like an empty piece of paper, you see… We can do anything, but we have our limits."

"Here's what I can think of…" She continued after a few seconds of pondering.

"One is a gray paper, while the other a white one. The gray paper is a bit different to the white one, but they're quite the same, with the only difference being that the gray one looks and functions different when compared to the white one. Assume that PP energy is Black paint. When using black paint on the two papers, the paint on the white paper will be more visible, while the paint on the gray paper will be less visible. With the paint on the two pieces of paper, the white one will be the paper that can carry a will, while the gray one will be the paper that can become fortified. Nevertheless, the gray paper can also carry on a will, although less discernible. The same goes for the white paper, which can also become fortified, albeit less, because it would simply get, tainted."

"Ah, yes… A woman that looks like a brute." I already understood Xiayen's explanation, which was quite easy to understand honestly. Men being the gray paper, and woman the white one. It's like Yin Yang, but different. Hehe…

At last… With every words pointing towards the subject that I wanted to talk about since the beginning, I finally had the chance to ask Xiayen a question that is related to one of the system's feature.

"What are the chances of a woman turning into a man though?" I continued on with my words, and this time, it was the words that lead to the question that I've been waiting to ask since the beginning of my conversation with her.

Her reply was a bit unexpected to what I had expected, but honestly, it was quite understandable as well.

"With the way our cultivation organs differ from each other, there shouldn't be a case where a woman would turn into a man. For a man to turn into a woman… That is even more impossible! It's like what I said about the papers. Although the white paper might get tainted and completely covered with paint, it will still be a white paper behind that paint. The gray paper though, no matter how much it is covered with paint, it won't turn white, because the only thing that it carries, similar to the white paper, is the will. That's why, a man turning into a woman is far from impossible."

"The male part makes sense if you're using that example. However… You know that the usual paper absorbs paint, right?" I said, which made the subject far more difficult all of a sudden.

"Oh no… Does that mean that we'll all become men in the end. Isn't that the reason why it's called a PP then?! We're all men?!" Xiayen was too flabbergasted.

"Well… It is impossible for us to practice the cultivation abilities of a different gender, isn't it? So I doubt we're all men. I mean, sure we might be able to do a few tricks of the other, however, our different cultivation methods is like two specific painting tools for each paper. One method is a sponge to color the entire paper, while the other is a brush to write. Right?"

"Phew… That makes sense." Xiayen uttered as she let out a sigh of relief. Unfortunately for her, not too long after her sigh of relief, I asked her a question that caused her to panic again.

"But what if a woman used the cultivation method of a man?" Was my question. Such a question wasn't something to make Xiayen panic however, which I was kinda glad of.

"Nothing really. Such a thing had happened multiple times in the past, you know... That's why we have Librarians to help disciples with their choice for a cultivation method. The only thing that'll happen after picking the wrong method, is that it'll be harder to cultivate, and that the cultivator wouldn't reach their true potential, due to them focusing on something that isn't really meant for their type of PP."

"I see…" I replied, as I began to realize how the system of mine is quite strange but powerful.

"You know… Now that I think about it. I guess you're right. It should indeed be possible for a gender to turn into the opposite. That is if you're able to live long enough to cultivate with an extremely bad talent. It's only a bad talent of course, because you're not build for cultivating your PP into that of a woman. It's like wanting to evolve a dog into an evolved cat!"

"Hmm… If that's all possible. Then, shouldn't PP energy actually be called LGB energy? Lemao?"

"Heh? What even is L G or whatever you're saying?"

"Haha, I'm just joking. That's all I had to ask, by the way."

*Sigh* "You and your horrible jokes."

"You still laugh at them though…"

"Sometimes…"

*Cough* *Cough* "So, anyway… do you want to fetch some dinner with me, perhaps?"
