Heartache

Sam descended the grand staircase lazily as she supported herself on the railings.

It has been three days since she came back home and her father went back to his position of being Alexander's right-hand man.

She tried to protest and ask her father not to go back to that gravely job. However, he insisted and said that it was his duty to make sure that he settles the debt that he owed Alexander.

Samantha gave up after a few attempts of trying to convince his father. 

She had two reasons to why she wanted to continue to work for Alexander.

One was that she was afraid of her father getting hurt once again. She recalled those old terrible memories which made her flinch.

Second, she wanted to go back to Alexander and stay close to him. Samantha didn't want to stay away from him even for a single minute.
