Chapter 2

DERRIC POV

After reaching our castle, I carried my Sapphie to our Master bedroom. I laid her on our king-size bed and removed our coats. It would be uncomfortable for her to sleep with a coat and I too don't like sleeping with a coat. I adjusted the room temperature and pulled her in my arms. Her gentle warmth! I'm feeling it after six years. I missed her sweet scent; my arms were dying for her presence. I'm incomplete without her. I just wish you to remember everything my Sapphie. I missed you a lot more than you can imagine. I slept while thinking about all this.

I woke up with the movements of Sapphie. I opened my eyes and saw how tightly I have held her. She would be uncomfortable, I released her from my grip and said " Good Evening, and sorry for holding you so tight. I slept so peacefully after so many days." My Sapphie was confused by the last words I said. I was a little sad that she doesn't remember anything. She is with me that's what matters to me right now.

SAPPHIRE POV

Boss finally got up. He opened his eyes and saw me. I felt the grip around me loosen. I felt a little disappointed with the loss of grip. I didn't know why. He then said " Good Evening, and sorry for holding you so tight. I slept so peacefully after so many days." I was a little confused by the last words. What did he mean? Do we have some past or connection? Why does he seem so familiar to me? I shrugged off those thoughts and greeted him " Good Evening Boss." He just smiled lightly and got up from the bed. I saw the surroundings and was mesmerized by the beautiful interiors of the bedroom. By judging the size, it looks like a Master bedroom. I was disturbed by the voice of Boss " Is it beautiful?" I just exclaimed in awe " Yes Boss!"

He just faintly smiled and said, "Someone precious to me designed this Bedroom." I just looked at him, wanting to say something but words weren't coming out. He then said "Get changed to something comfortable. There is the closet at your left." He left the room after saying those words. I looked at the closet and saw so many clothes of my size! How did Boss know my size? I just took one comfortable t-shirt and track pants. The t-shirt was having 'HIS QUEEN' printed on it.

DERRIC POV

I got up from bed and went for my daily routine. When I came back I saw Sapphie looking at the room with awe-struck eyes. I asked her " Is it beautiful?" She just exclaimed "Yes Boss!" I smiled faintly remembering my first time seeing the room and said "Someone precious to me designed this Bedroom." Sapphie, how could you forget that you designed this room for us? It was the best surprise you could give me that day. I told her to change her clothes and went to another room.

I came out wearing my favorite t-shirt and track pant. These were a couple of T-shirts and track pants. My t-shirt was having 'HER KING' printed on it. She too had the same one with 'HIS QUEEN' printed on it. This was my gift to her. While thinking about all this, I didn't know when my eyes filled with tears. A knock on the door brought me back to earth from my nostalgic memories of her.

SAPPHIRE POV

I changed and went down to find Boss. I saw a few maids working around. I asked one of them " Excuse me, can you tell me where Boss is?" For some reason, she looked surprised and directed her hand toward the next room of the Master bedroom. I went to that room and gave a knock on the door. I heard Boss's voice "Come in." I peeked a little and went inside. I was shocked to see that we both were in the same t-shirt and track pants. These were a couple of T-shirts and track pants! Boss looked a little surprised as well and his lips formed a smile. I never saw him smiling so freely. He looked so handsome while smiling.

We both were looking at each other like no tomorrow. Boss slowly approached me and held me close to him. He kissed my forehead and was going to say something another knock on the door disturbed him. We both came back to our senses and Boss asked in a cold tone "What is it?" A voice came saying "Master, Dinner is ready." He just hummed in response. He interlocked our hands, and we went down.

DERRIC POV

When I saw who disturbed me, I saw my Sapphie peaking like a cute kitten. She then came in and was surprised to see the same t-shirt and track pants we were wearing. A smile formed on my lips. She just looks so cute that I couldn't stop myself from pulling her towards me and kissing her on her forehead. She was just staring at me, and I was staring at her. We both were disturbed by the maid's knock. Sapphie came back to her sense, but I didn't let go of her. I hummed in response to the maid and interlocked our hands.

I took her to the dining room and asked the maids to serve the food. The maids went away and Sapphie drooled over the food. She is such a baby. I chuckled seeing her like that. Sapphie noticed and was embarrassed about what she did. I just patted her head, and we ate our dinner.

SAPPHIRE POV

I was surprised that I didn't feel uncomfortable when he kissed my forehead and interlocked our hands. It's like my body was yearning for him. He took us to the dining room and asked maids to serve the food. they served the food and went away. I was drooling at the yummy food in front of me. I heard Boss chuckle and was embarrassed for what I did. He just patted my head, and we ate our dinner.

We both were sitting in the study room. Boss showed me my table and he went to his table. We were opposite each other. I started working on my files. I checked a few files and corrected them. Boss has assigned me to train interns. I rechecked every file and sent it to Boss for approval. After everything was done, I checked the mail to see if anything is there for me to do. I frowned seeing the mail.
