I can't believe that f**king cold-blooded beast bit me. How am I going to explain this to Blake and Chantico? Well, Chantico will figure it out one way or another because she's a witch and my roommate but Blake...

'He will sniff it out,' Minsi says.

I was glad she was fine and that I didn't lose her. 'I'll just wash Adonis' scent off me,' I tell her.

'Luna, it's a bite. His venom is probably running in your veins right now. You can't wash it off,' she informs me.

'Then what do I do?' I ask.

'Tell the truth,' she says.

I had to tell Blake the truth that would break his heart. "Arcane," the girl Adonis had brought says, "Eat up. It will get cold".

I smile and then start eating my food. I couldn't concentrate on what she was telling me. I just wanted to be in Blake's arms.

"Adonis is a good guy," she tells me giving me a small smile, "But he's broken".

"Broken?" I whisper.

"Oh yes, he's broken. He lost you at the same time he lost his mother," she explains, "Please don't break his heart again".

"But I have a mate," I tell her.

"You mean that...," she says but I cut her off.

"Blake...his name is Blake".

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Him. Find his second mate," she says.

"Second mate?" I ask not so sure I knew what she was talking about.

"Yes. Second mate. Every werewolf has a second mate or third. Depends on your moon goddess," she informs me.

"I never knew about that nor was I told about it," I say.

'That's why I said you are lacking knowledge about this,' Minsi tells me.

'I am not!' I reply.

'Sure'.

"Arcane?" Sabrina whispers, "Be honest. Who do you want?".

"I..," I stutter, "I don't know," I tell her.

"That's what I thought," she sighs, "Here's advice. You can just spend 2 months with Blake than the other 2 with Adonis and you choose who you think is right on your birthday".

"So you want me to...date them then dump the other in the end?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"You could say that but it's more like a get-to-know-each-other thing," she says.

I think for some time then I say, "I'll see".

Their silence first then she says, "Hurry to eat. I want to get to know you better. Today I'm on leave so I have time and..," she looks me up and down and frowns, "..we need to find you a new outfit".

'Fine with me,' I say.

'I have a feeling this is gonna be..' Mini says but she doesn't finish it, 'You know what...I'm just gonna lay down and sleep and lock myself in'.

'But,' before I can finish she was already asleep and she was slowly blocking me.

I finish eating and Sabrina goes to clean the dishes up in 5 minutes she was done. "Sabrina I have a question," I say playing with the knots in my hair.

"Ask away," she says.

"Is it possible for me to go that fast too?" I ask hoping to get the answer I wanted.

"Mmm..," she whispers rubbing her chin, "I guess you could, you just need practice and to get used to the speed".

"Can you teach me?" I ask.

"Sure, anything for my Queen," she says as she bows down.

"Please don't, I'm just a friend," I say.

"Fine with me. Now let's go get you changed up!" she lifts me and drags me to the bathroom.

I hadn't realized that it was grand because of the darkness and lack of light. It had golden tiles surrounded by navy blue and red. The pattern is laid out in a scene like a sea of fire with the red waves cresting with orange-amber foam. My finger runs over it as my eyes run down the length of the bathroom, more prominent than the one I have at home.

A massive glass shower stands in the corner with a huge square head centered in the middle. A Golden tub in the middle then a door that I think is where the toilet is.

Sabrina runs up and down and in a few seconds, the tub is full of milky water and roses on the top. The tub was surrounded by candles that let out an orange light.

"You can bath now," she says with a big smile on her face.

"Thank you," I say bowing my head a little.

"No need," she says as she goes out. I'm used to bathing in a shower and not in a tub but today I guess it was acceptable. I Slowly take off the clothes that I have on for I don't know how many hours, there is a chute in the corner with a pull-out door labeled laundry. I guess it's where the dirty clothes are put and wait to be washed. Slipping the clothes down the dark hole, I get into the tub with was very hot.

"Is she trying to kill me!" I whisper.

I take a bucket that was by the corner and turn on the tap to get cold water to dilute with the hot one. It wasn't like the clear water at home. It was milky too. I put about two buckets and the water got warm.

I get into the tub and it seemed deep. The water level reached my neck. It was so warm inside, I didn't want to get out. I start playing in the water and splashing it around. It was so much fun. I finish and wrap a towel around my body.

I go out and I find Sabrina sitting on the couch but upside down. "You're finally done," she says.

"What do mean by that?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Nothing," she says throwing me a paper bag, "Go change. Don't worry they are yours from the past, no one has worn them since you went," she informs me.

"Okay," I whisper turning around to get changed. I open the paperback and I find a pair of back-skin jeans ripped a bit on the knees and thigh and a lace sweatshirt.

There was a black bra and a pair of pants and I was so glad she had them. Once I'm done changing I look again in the paper bag to find a pair of military boots but they were nicer and less heavy.

I put them on and damn they were comfortable. I look again and I'm surprised there was still more. I take out a pair of black gloves that I liked at first glance. The fingers were cut halfway through and they almost reached my elbow. They had silver belts on them that were fastened.

I felt like a mafia. Once I was done I go out and Sabrina's jaw drops.

"You look amazing," she says.

"Thank you," I whisper.

"Let's get your hair done to finish up," she says.

We walk to the dressing table where there were a lot of hair oils and combs. She starts doing my hair fast. My eyes couldn't catch up with the movement of her hands. She finishes and puts a silver pin on the side.

I looked...like a mafia Queen for sure now. She had braided my hair into a single braid and hung it over my shoulder and chest. "I can't wait for Adonis to see this," she says and I couldn't stop myself from flushing in embarrassment. "Let's go," she says and takes my hand.

We leave the room going downstairs and as we passed the others their eyes widen as they just stared at me. I guess they had recognized me. I hear Adonis' voice coming from downstairs and then a male voice replies to him making Sabrina stop in her tracks. She carefully listens and then turns to me with a frightened look.

"Let's go back. We can't let Adonis' father find you. He will kill you," she says.

"Why?" I ask looking confused but I could feel myself getting scared too.

'He would kill me...Why?' I think.

"Arcane I want you to run, just let your legs do the running and focus your eyes on where you're going. Okay?" she says.

I swallow hard and nod. She takes my hand in hers and counts to three then we start running. I did as she had told me and after a few seconds, I find myself running as fast as her.

'This is sooo cool,' I think.

We turn and dodge other vamps and objects as our speed increases. We reach the room and she locks it after. I didn't know what was happening and I had a lot of questions to ask.
