Chapter 12. The Guild

The gorilla after seeing Miles easily destroy his mob was about to rip Miles apart

Was the Tiny human strong , of course it is but only compared to his mobs he too could easily kill them like flies , and beside what could a puny human kid do to him the only humans he feared where those ones with the fancy metal on their body and the strange powers( Magic ) .

The gorilla walked to Miles and the Monsters gave way for him to pass.

The Gorilla stared at Miles with a bloody eyes seeing Miles kill almost all his Subordinate , He throw a fist at Miles but Miles simply held the gorilla's hand in place.

The gorilla was shocked that Miles was fast enough to keep up with him and also strong enough to stop his punch.

it had miss calculated the strength of this human but now he wouldn't hold back , it used all its strength to punch with its second hand but instead of the torn apart flesh it was expecting Miles easily caught it's hand , shocked and amazed by this human power it tried to free it's hand from Miles but it couldn't even move it's hand it was like its hands where glued solid .

Fear set in as the gorilla finally realised the situation it was in , it tried frantically to free it self to no result .

Miles started to squeeze the gorilla's hand it felt like it knew it's hand where breaking but the gorilla wanted to keep it's dignity and decided not to voice it's pain .

Miles believing the force wasn't enough added more strength to the gorillas hands.

The gorilla got down on one knee and tears could be seen leaving it eyes as he was trying to hold the pain in.

Miles twisted his hand causing the gorilla's hand to bend.

Crraacckk

The gorilla couldn't hold it in and let out a blood curling shout.

The adventurers watching couldn't help but be shocked a powerful C ranked monster known for its superior strength was being overpowered in a fit of strength by a boy who wasn't even 20 .

Even the monsters were beginning to fear him they all ran away when they saw what was happening to their leader.

Miles held the gorilla by the neck , raising him up .

Cccrraacckk

The sound of its bone breaking could be heard as the gorilla fell to the floor dead.

[Hero has leveled up to level 45]

'I killed almost all of them and I still leveled up by just one.' Miles thought as he let out a sigh.

Miles went back into the carriage as the adventurers watched him with disbelief in their eyes , They now viewed Miles as a beast after watching him kill the gorilla with his bare hands with no remorse .

" Who is he" , Carlen asked.

The carriage continued it's journey to the city , lilly decided to know more about Miles since no more monsters were attacking , Lilly saw Miles looking through the window innocently even after all the blood he shed.

" Hi do you mind if I sit here", Lilly asked pointing at an empty seat near Miles.

" I don't mind , you can take your seat."

Lilly couldn't help but stare at him she was not the type to fall for a guy even though she had many guys who were begging her she didn't consider them so what could be different about him .

'Why am I feeling this way towards him or could it be that I have a thing for guys younger than me.' Lilly couldn't help but blush as she thought about it.

"So what is the city like ", Miles asked trying to start a confession.

"eehh,..... what,..... oh yeah it's a very busy place , their are a lot of people in the city compared to where you are from" , Lilly replied trying to regain her composure.

" So what are you going to do in the city" , Lilly asked.

"Is there someone you want to meet".

"No am going to the city to be an adventurer".

"Really well I can help you out I am an Adventurer at the Merveran's guild so I can help you put in a good word to get you a spot in the guild".

They talked for a while and Lilly decided to resume her job even though they were still no monsters.

" why do you think monsters are no longer coming here ", Morgan asked.

"yeah I also noticed that, could it be because they are all afraid." kernel asked.

"..."

They had been on the road for two days and they could finally see the city in front of them , Miles had never seen something has big as the city walls it had a tall structure which protected it from monsters and bandit and a big gate ten meters tall which was the entrance to the city , Miles could see different people coming and going through the door most where adventurers while some where merchants or just common folks, it contained rows upon rows of houses , at the gate there was a sign which said Meveran city.

"Okay this is where I stop" ,the carriage master said .

"Thank you for protecting us against the monsters, without you we would be dead by now." the carriage master said referring to the adventurers .

'He was part of the people who where praying during the attack so he didn't see Miles killing all the monsters.'

" Here this is your payment ".

The carriage master gave the adventurers a bag full of coins.

The adventurers took the bag and went into the city , Miles also followed them , the city was so much busier and bigger than his village and honestly he didnt know where to start from , he was completely clueless, Lilly seeing this decided to show him around.

" you seem pretty lost do you mind if i show you around", Lilly asked.

"yeah sure I was wandering how I was going to find my way around ", Miles replied.

"So where do you want to go to first".

" I was wandering if I could go to the guild to get registered as an adventurer".

"Okay the Guild hall isn't far from here so we can go there now".

Miles and lilly walked straight to the guild hall , it was the biggest building Miles had ever seen and he couldn't help but take in the sight , it was a big building which stood in the middle of the city it looked like it was made by an artistic genius it was decorated with different ornaments and was made out of a material Miles had never seen before.

Inside , the building was more stunning with a lot of people doing one thing or the other, Lilly took Miles towards a woman who seems to be in charge of the adventurers, She had short fiery hair with white skin , she looked to be in her thirties and had a stern look on her face .

" Excuse me Mabel I have some one who will like to take the evaluation text", Lilly said.

Seeing how young and naive Miles looked Mabel looked at him with doubtful eyes, she have met with different young youths who think they were special and tried to become an adventurer but soon realised they where wrong and joining the guild was just a mistake but by that time it's already late and they wished they never joined,that is if they did not die on their first quest, And even the ones who survived became low ranked adventurers.

"Are you sure you want to do this" , Mabel asked Miles.

"Yes I am pretty sure" , Miles replied.

"Listen kid when you take the evaluation text their is no going back you have to be an adventurer ", Mabel said trying to change Miles mind.

"Okay since you don't want to change your mind" .

Mabel brought out a strange device which was black in colour it was circle in shape and it had a panel where a hand print was placed on top

"Okay place your hand on the scanner" , Mabel said with a sigh.

Immediately Miles kept is hand on the device.

[External influence detected do you want to accept Y/N]

"Yes" .

Suddenly the device started reading numbers which Miles had never seen before .

Ding

The device stopped calculating and brought out the result, Mabel took the result in her hand to see which rank he would be placed in when she suddenly had a surprised look on her face.

" I....it....its over 9000" , Mabel shouted.
