Chapter 16: I am Eris

Morana is maintaining her vigilance against this 'cursed doll'.

"I'll say it again I am not cursed for damn sake." If it weren't for the buttons for eyes, the doll would have rolled its eyes.

Morana's eyebrows scrunched.

"Then tell me what kind of doll would talk if it isn't cursed?!" Morana had flashbacks of a certain movie she used to watch about a certain cursed doll.

" Hey now that's being disrespectful! A doll can also talk if it has the blessings of gods y'know!"

"What kind of god would do something as horrifying as this??"

"That god you're insulting is me!"

Morana raised her eyebrow in disbelief.

'Well in my opinion you have some disgusting hobby right there!'

"It's not a disgusting hobby for your information. And besides I'm in undercover right now."

'See?! Mind reading is invasion of privacy y'know!'

"Stop spouting nonsense. I didn't talk to you for idle chit chat." The doll grumbled.

The doll took a breath and introduced itself.

'Do dolls breathe or this thing is an exception?'

"My name is Eris." It said.

"What? You want me to brag and tell some bullshit 'prophecy' or something?"

"Well.. isn't that what gods always do in fantasies? Like with the halo and with the 'noble accent' that emits divine charisma?"

"Well too bad I'm not fond of having flashy lights and wings that emit 'divine charisma'." Eris flipped her doll hair.

Yep. This doll is cursed.
