The day went well until I decided to pay a visit to Ya Fei in the auction. She looked a bit grumpy so I asked what was up.
Apparently due to my robbing about 90% of the Empire of it valuables Noone could really buy anything. The people who did have money were worried they would get robbed so they stayed inside to guard their belongings.
"Ah my bad I kind of robbed everyone and didn't think about this part." I said rubbing the back of my head.
"This was you?!?" She said pointing a finger at me.
"How am I supposed to make money when everyone is poor?!?" She shouted waving her hands about.
"Well i was planning on leaving the area as I need to go over to Jia Nan Academy." I told the woman.
"Isn't that whole area completely lawless?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah but there's load of strong sects and clans there and I could help you open up an auction house." I tell her. "Besides do you know how much useless junk I could sell there? I have tons of manuals I'll never use cause they are shit to me however they could be sold at massive prices to idiots in that area."
"Why do you need to go to Jia Nan academy?" She asked suspiciously.
"They have 2 heavenly flames in their tower. One they don't even know about." I tell her.
"Wouldn't it be smarter to just trade them items for other items like why give a bunch of criminals better cultivation manuals instead of giving it to the school in trade for like herbs or materials." She asked.
"This is true. I figured I'd just rob the criminals though as they probably have more." I rubbed my chin in thought.
"Well give me a few days to make preparations then we can go." She said giving me a quick kiss before walking out.
I just shrugged and made my way over to the alchemists association. They had all the books I requested a long time ago along with spare plants and monster flame seeds.
I pulled out the dark blue crystal containing all of gu hes alchemy knowledge and started absorbing the memories.
It felt like years of studying was just stuffed in my head but only a minute passed.
I just sat at my desk and tested out some stuff and focused on the information. Basically I just had to have people test me for tier 5 alchemy then all I'd have to do would be make a tier 6 and a tier 7 pill in front of people to increase my rank.
Luckily for me there was a recent alchemist competition so there where quite a few alchemy masters in town. The president easily managed to find a small panel to judge me. Him already being a tier 5 helped.
The elder gentlemen where all rather disbelieving I was trying for tier 5.
Testing went fine I even used my bare hands to make pills as who needs a cauldron. They where shocked about the heavenly flame. Basically I just had the herbs float and slowly roasted them before using the sky poison pearl to get rid of impurities and make it pill form.
They saw all of this but they can't even explain it. They figured it was a special way to make pills. They would be right.
"Sir may I ask who your teacher is?" An old man asked kindly.
"Tier 9 alchemist Yao Lao." making him freeze in place.
A tier 9 alchemist was a god like existence whose wealth alone could move mountains and part seas.
"I was wondering if any of you could write a recommendation letter for the Jia Nan academy I have some business there and I'd hate to have to wait half a year for recruitment." I asked the men who all hurriedly fished out letters and began writing.
Who would want to offend a little monster like me.
With 6 recommendation letters and a tier 7 alchemist badge I'm pretty sure if they turn me away I'll just rob them.
I made my way back outside before popping off to the mercenary city. I had some packing up to do. You think I'm going to leave behind my buildings oh no.
I informed everyone who where excited for a move. The townspeople wouldn't be so excited though as they relied on us quite a bit but it happens.
It didn't take long for everything to be ready to go. I just sucked it all into the kingdom for transportation before heading back to the big city. I just stayed in my immortal realms house happily for the night.
A few days later Ya Fei is ready to head out to the black corner area. Of course we are going to travel in style. Via dune buggy my boys.
There were only cobblestone paved streets in cities so most of the roads where dirt roads bug enough for carts to pass.
We got to zoom along until the big gate check point between the black corner region and Jia Ma empire. I stored the buggy and we easily made it through the checkpoint from here til the city it was almost nothing but dangerous Sandy areas where dust storms had enough power to actually kill people I'd post up a few shadows who would dig up treasures from the sand. It's quite easy with sand manipulation.
Sand dunes are quite fun when your in a buggy of course we had to get an enclosed one for ac and because I didn't want to eat 5 pounds of sand on the trip over.
It took a few hours but it was much faster than taking a cart pulled by a beast. No catastrophes along the way.
We easily made our way to the outskirts of black corner which was a little bit away from a school. Who thought of making as school near a den of criminals and outlaws or vice versa must have really been some kind of idiot or genius I have no idea at this point.
