The food at school wasn't good at all plus it was little that even if you ate, you felt as if you hadn't eaten anything. They cooked us porridge for breakfast and cooked only three types of local foods which served as lunch or dinner; Ugali and Cabbage, Rice and Beans, Githeri. For the cabbages, they cut them into large pieces and boiled them instead. The ugali was always undercooked, the githeri was little, they served with lots of soup instead and the rice and beans? Don't even ask about it. As far as I knew, our school gave us little, undercooked food compared to other private schools.
