The draining kiss
" It took you a while", he said with a sigh. "No way. There's now way in Mythology that you could be a vampire. They were destroyed a long time ago", Amaia replied in pure anticipation. Sebastian only looked at her as his eyes kept changing color. "You're the only one who can see my eyes change color you know. And I really don't know why", he replied as his eyes also showcased astonishment. "Then why did you come all the way from the Roman empire", she asked in confusion.
"Because of you", he said annoyingly. He looked bored at this conversation. "I can't believe I'm getting married to a vampire", she said in excitement as she leaned her head against his shoulder. He moved his head away and she had almost hit her head on the arm rest. "Not so fast detective. I can always call of this wedding", he said with a grin on his face.
*I won't allow it* she thought to herself. "I don't need your permission detective", he growled back. She had forgotten that vampires could read people's minds. But she didn't like how he trespassed her privacy. "If we're getting married then there will be rules. Rule number one, you can't read my mind whenever you want to". "No chance", he said playfully . "Then I won't be marrying you", she said confidently. "Sure", he said excitedly. He was getting on her last nerve now. He seemed so uninterested in marrying her, yet sometimes he seemed attracted to her. He has weird mood sets.
"So tell me vampire. Is it really true that you guys can't have a reflection in the mirror. I always wanted to ask in person?", Amaia asked lighting up in excitement. Sebastian looked at her in a way that he would look at a stupid kid. "Nope. We don't have one. This is because we don't have souls", he said casually. You probably realized by now that Amaia was extremely excited. She couldn't keep her bum on her throne. "My lady. You are acting like a young child now", he said in a very lazy way.
Amaia realized that she was acting a little bit out of control and the palace had begun to notice her weird behavior. "Vamp. Can you follow me", Amaia said as she stood up and held her hand out to Sebastian. He faced up looking at her and sighed heavily. She looked so tiny in that huge gown and it made Sebastian light up with passion. "Only if you stop calling me that", he placed his hand in hers. "Not a chance", she pulled him and began walking away from the crowd. Now, they were in the gigantic hallway. It was filled with body mirrors and that's where they were headed. "Are you really going to make me stand in front of a mirror to prove myself?", he asked as he was being dragged like a personal puppy. "Stand here", she said pointing towards a huge gold mirror. He took a step forward and faced the mirror. NoThInG! There was no reflection of Sebastian. "Impossible", she said as she held a hand on her mouth. She took Sebastian's hand again and led him to her room. "You probably shouldn't be in here until we're married, but come in", she said standing at the Door with a small bow and her arms pointing towards her room. It was huge and fit for a true royal. There were about 10 expensive chandeliers and her bed could fit 5 kings. "Spacious", he notified as he looked around calculatingly. "But mine's bigger", he whispered again under his breath. Amaia turned at him in utter perplexity. "Sure thing", she whispered to herself. Sebastian took a seat on Amaia's bed and she figured that he already made himself comfortable. She took a seat next to him before breaking the awkward silence. She held her book of Greek mythology in her hands. "So...are you like going to suck my blood out?", she asked looking up at the ceiling. Sebastian looked at her before letting out a cute giggle. They were so close to each other. They were literally sharing their breaths. "I'm a Psi vampire detective. I feed on life energy. And I can do that now if I wanted to", he said with a grin on his face. "Yikes", she said snapping out of his hypnotic clutch. She did read about Psi and elemental vampires earlier. "How fascinating", she thought to herself."why are you so into me. You should be scared of me instead", he said looking into her eyes. "Nonsense...you don't scare me at all", Amaia said while still looking at him.
Now she began to wonder. "Can you show me how to do that. I heard that it's through contact. Like touching. And".... Amaia's words were interrupted by Sebastian when he moved closer to her and connected his lips to hers. He held her waist as she slowly closed her eyes. Amaia formed a blush on her face as Sebastian kissed her from different angles. His touch was so soft and his tongue worked itself skillfully in her mouth. Amaia began to feel an aching pain in her abdomen just as she also began feeling dizzy at the same time. She felt weak, like she couldn't control her own body anymore. "Why do I feel like I'm about to pass out", she thought to herself as Sebastian kissed her passionately. So this is what he meant by feeding on life energy. Sebastian didn't enjoy draining all the energy that she had from her so he slowly let her go. She was left panting as she looked down in embarrassment. "Through contact. That's how I feed on you", he said standing up from the bed again. Amaia's heart could not stop beating at the thought of her getting her first kiss from a vampire. A vampire!! "I'm pleased to have given you your first kiss my lady", he said before reaching his hand out to her. She had no choice but to take his hand because it was him who had drained her energy. And she just gave into him. "Is your family like you too?", she asked in anticipation. "Mhm",he responded casually. Amaia was still quite dizzy. She couldn't cooperate with her feet and Sebastian had noticed it. So he took his two strong arms and scooped Amaia up. "oh", she said in surprise. Sebastian was difficult to understand. This time he's a gentleman and the next time he's a pain in the ass. But he skillfully carried Amaia all the way bach to the ballroom.
The night was young, and the crowd was surprised as they saw Amaia in Sebastian's arms. Both Cleo and Sebastian's family were shaken. They were mesmorised as to how these two already became so close. Especially the Darkwoods. He carried her back to the thrones where they were seated. He sat her down and smiled at her. Sebastian looked so handsome and even more manly after that incident. She was drawn to him even more. She wanted to be with him the whole time. But it was time for him to go back to his respectable palace. "All my apologies my lady but I'm afraid I have to get going now", he said placing a kiss on Amaia's hand. He then moved backwards. "I'll see you again detective. And thank you for keeping me energized", he added playfully.
Amaia was left in bewilderment as she watched him go. All the families gave their farewells before the Dark wood family left for the night. Sebastian's family bid farewell to Amaia. They all gave off the same Aura that he had portrayed. Lastly, was a young girl who had dark black hair and electric blue eyes. She looked at Amaia earnestly before whispering,"Be careful princess. We're drawn to you". Letting out a sweet chuckle, she gave Amaia a soft hug before skipping off. She looked so beautiful and independent. As she walked away with her gown, before turning to Amaia one last time with a playful wink.
"What did she mean by that? And why were they drawn to me?", Amaia thought as she dropped onto her throne again.
