Cleaning the Blood

When Fua Lin saw the blood in their living room, she suddenly felt cold, and her heart was thumping harder, she felt suffocated, and her breathing hastened. The image of her grandmother lying there, soaking in her own blood and unbearably pale, the flashback came like the wind, she suddenly felt her knees went weak and were unable to hold her body up, the next second her vision blacked out and she was falling into something warm.

"Xiao Lin, are you alright?" good thing Gao Chen was quick enough that he caught on when Fua Lin suddenly stood frozen at the sight of blood. "Look at me Xiao Lin, snap out of it, your Grandma is fine," he said while gently tapping the girls' pale cheeks, she was clearly still shaken about what had happened. Since he was not getting any response from the girl, he got worried while looking at Fua Lin who had her eyes shut. So he gently carried the girl in his arms, and went upstairs to her room, he knows it might look that he was taking advantage of the situation but he thought if she wakes up and sees the blood in their living room, she might faint again.

The first thing he did after putting Fua Lin in her bed was getting a warm towel and wiped the traces of blood from her arms, he was not brave enough to change her clothes for her, and he thinks she might think badly of him too if he did that. After making sure that her hands were all tidied up, he covered her with a blanket and made his way downstairs to clean the blood in the living room, something terrible might have happened to Fua Lin and Grandma. All they know was her mother was there when the accident happened, but they did not see her mother at the hospital. No matter how curious he felt, he did not want to force the story out of Fua Lin, especially that she seemed not comfortable to talk about it and was still shaking at the sight of blood.

Ring....he pulled out the phone in his pocket "Xiao Quin, do you already know what happened?" seeing it was his sister calling Gao Chen asked immediately.

"Yes, Ge I know. How is she? Is she there? She's not answering her phone."

"She fell asleep, I will wait for her to wake up before coming home. Can you prepare the guest room for her?"

"She's not sleeping in the guest room Chen-ge, she's sleeping with me especially now that she might be still traumatized about what has happened to Grandma. Did you see Auntie Zeyi?" she added.

"That's also fine too, just make sure that you let her rest, and don't ask her about what happened, let her tell you on her own, understand?" Gao Chen blurted out and hang up the phone.

At the same time, Fua Lin opened her eyes and saw a familiar-looking wall, she wa in her room, but how did she get here? Oh, Gao Chen was with her a while ago, did she just faint? Where was Gao Chen now, did he already leave? She had a lot of questions on her mind but still, she gently removed the blankets covering her and noticed that there was no longer any blood on her arms, who cleaned her hands? She then hurriedly stood up and went to the bathroom, she wanted to get rid of the stench of blood still lingering on her uniform.

After taking a bath, she was still in a daze when she remembered all that had happened today, things were suddenly out of hand, and she just stood there, she let her mother hurt her over and over again, but she promised herself that this would be the last time. She just finished changing her clothes when she heard a soft knock on the door, was Gao Chen still here? So she hesitantly opened the door, and yup, Gao Chen was standing there, and she don't know why she was suddenly shy.

Gao Chen did not expect Fua Lin to already wake up, it was barely thrity minutes since he went down, and not only was she awake, she has taken a shower too, and her freshly showered scent lingering in his nostrils leaving him frozen at the door. Cough..."Ahm have you packed your clothes Xiao Lin?" then he stepped inside her room to hide the blush that's slowing making its way on his cheeks. He unconsciously fumbled on the clothes that were on Fua Lins' bed, he assumed that those were ready to pack and put them on her backpack. Then a tiny little cloth fell down.

He absent-mindedly picked up the piece of cloth and stopped midway, the tiny little pink laced cloth, was nothing else but her underwear, his mind went blank and he felt his head is going to erupt the sudden rush of blood. He looked at the clothing in his hand, and felt a sudden urge to just pushed it inside the backpack, but Fua Lin already saw what he was holding in his hand, "You pervert!"
